    Charging on the (Butter)fly

The Twelve South ButterFly SE charger is a handy piece of travel kit that offers flexibility while traveling without adding a lot of extra bulk. Unboxing the charger is not the most thrilling or rewarding experience - it is very straightforward, but that also means little packaging waste to get rid of after. I was disappointed to see it doesn't include a wall adapter, but after some research found that it was because this is an "SE" model of the original Twelve South butterfly, which is to say it is a more budget-oriented variant. I can forgive the omission of a wall adapter in that case, but it is still disappointing to see and could be a problem for someone picking this up on a whim while on a trip. As you may expect the black color is very understated. One may even call it boring. The other colors look more interesting, but the black doesn't pick up too many fingerprints thanks to a softer finish, and it is hard to complain about it on a nightstand. Setup is dead easy, as all you have to do is plug in the cable to a wall adapter and then plug the cable into the Butterfly SE. It takes less than a minute to have it all ready to drop your phone and watch onto. I found that it took roughly two hours to charge my phone to full, which is around what I expected with my usual Magsafe charger. It does get a bit warm to the touch while doing so, but it is also charging at the full 15W allowed by Qi2 and I notice this type of heating up with any wireless charging. Keeping mindful of the potential for heat and generally being safe about plugging electronics in should mitigate any major safety issues. It charges my watch just as fast as my OEM Apple charger, and I am pleased to say that I found it quite reliable on my most recent trip. I didn't have to be worried about whether my devices were charging or if I would wake up to a dead phone and watch because something shifted in the night, as both the watch and phone were very secure on the pucks. Speaking of which, the pucks are the most unique aspect of this charger. They offer a lot of flexibility, allowing you to utilize four different modes: flat, charging both the phone and watch; folded, charging only the phone; folded, charging only the watch as a compact display; and stand mode, which does trigger the iOS nightstand mode. I use the flat mode the most often, but I could see use cases for all four. Because of the folding nature of the charger, it packs quite well and travels lightly. As far as reducing how many cables and chargers one needs to bring while traveling, this device does a fantastic job of keeping things cleaner and more minimal. Plus, the watch charger does double duty -- it can also charge AirPods. Unfortunately, I did feel that the stand for the watch was finicky to pull up and put down, so I imagine if that is something you plan to use regularly it will end up just being stood up the entire time. I also have some concerns about the strap connecting the two pucks and how durable it will be after hundreds and hopefully thousands of folds and unfolds. While the build quality is decent, nothing lasts forever and although it isn't a hinge mechanism, I can see the strap itself wearing out and either breaking or coming apart from one or both pucks. So far, so good though. Overall, this is a nifty little charger and great for traveling. It fits well into a backpack or, if you are so inclined, a travel organizer bag. It can even fit into a pocket when folded up! If you require a 2-in-1 charger for multiple devices or just want something light for traveling, this is not a bad option. As for daily use, I question whether the Butterfly SE would hold up well to years of regular wear-and-tear and I do believe there are better, sturdier Magsafe options out there. That said, the ability to change up the charging configuration and use the Butterfly SE as a phone holder or display stand is a definite perk. Pros: + lots of options for how you want to charge your devices + folds up compact, can fit easily in a backpack or suitcase + reduces the amount of cables and chargers you need to bring on a trip + 15W phone charging, 5W fast charging for Apple Watches and Airpods + included cable is braided, which is always appreciated + looks nice on a nightstand (as a bonus) Cons: - does not include a wall adapter - gets warm to the touch while charging (typical for wireless charging) - concerns about longevity re: the folding parts

The Twelve South ButterFly SE 2-in-1 Qi2 Travel Charger is a very compact device which provides rapid charging power designed to complement the higher power needs of the iPhone, Apple Watch and iPods at a very economical price. It is ideal for travel. Twelve South is a firm which specializes in accessories for Apple products. It was founded in 2009 and is based in South Carolina. It produces a broad line of consumer electronics products which have high quality and modest prices. Here is their mission statement: “Twelve South creates beautiful accessories that take your tech to the next level … our innovative products enhance, inspire & personalize the experience of using your favorite devices” Here are the key features of this great combination charger: • Twelve South ButterFly SE 2-in-1 Qi2 travel charger (Model: TS-2432) • Suggested power supply: 20 watt power transformer with USB-C output port (not included) • Input: 9 volt, 3 amp • Wireless Qi2 Output: 5 watt maximum (watch), 15 watt maximum (phone) • Compatible with all iPhones 8 – 16 Pro Max, all Apple Watch models and all Air Pods • Wireless Qi2 charging output: 15 watt maximum • Charging efficiency: >72% at 9 volts • Cable: Heavy duty 60 inches USB-C to USB-C • Dimensions (inches): 3.0 x 2.25 x 1 .0 tall (closed); 6.25 x 2.25 x 2.0 tall (open) • Lightweight: 3.6 ounces (charger) + 1.8 ounces (cable) • One year warranty on parts and labor • Made in Viet Nam The Butterfly charger is an attractive black color which is very elegant and professional. (It also comes in classic Apple Alpine white and pink (for the more fashion-forward.) Closed, it looks a bit like a yo-yo. Flip it open and you have two connected charging stations, one side for your iPhone or iPods and the other side for your Apple Watch. Both charging surfaces are magnetic which serves to secure your devices in place during charging. The watch side has a flip-up connector which allows you to use the watch in display mode. The magnetic surfaces also keep the Butterfly closed when you flip it shut for travel. The supplied USB-C to USB-C cable has heavy duty fabric insulation with reinforced connectors at each end and is very generous in length at 60 inches. This makes locating the charging unit much more convenient when you are looking for a wall outlet on the road. The real advantage of this Butterfly charger is that is much more compact than the typical all-in-one charging stands. You can place it on your night stand or desk and it will take up just 14 square inches (about one quarter of a sheet of printer paper.) And you can use it folded up if you just want to charge your watch or just your phone. It also does a nice job in charging all types of wireless ear buds (not just iPods.) Besides use as a desk charger or night stand charger, the Butterfly is ideal for use in your car due to its very compact footprint. Twelve South markets this charger as a travel accessory since its compact size makes ideal for tucking it into your suitcase. However, if you work in multiple locations (home, office, client office) this is a must-have addition to your briefcase or backpack. You never want to be facing that dreaded “low power” warning on your iPhone or Watch without access to a charger! I checked the speed of the charger compared to a good quality Qi wireless charging pad and the Apple-supplied watch charger and the results were very comparable. I was using the Butterfly with a 20 watt power source but ideally you should pair it with a 30 watt power block to maximize charging speed. I am delighted to give this great Twelve South ButterFly SE 2-in-1 Qi2 Travel Charger a strong recommendation! Buy it and your iPhone and Watch will sit happily in a tiny spot on your nightstand while they have all of their power needs satisfied. In fact, buy three – one for your night stand, one for your office and one kept in your suitcase/backpack for every trip!

Introduction Wireless Qi chargers are very common these days, so it takes something special to make one stick out from the rest. Going in Twelvesouth is a company that I have not heard of before, but after visiting their website, it seems that they make accessories; mostly for Apple products. What comes in the box? Out of the box you get the travel charger, a braided USB-C to USB-C cable, and an insert. Minor wins I always appreciate it when a company includes a high quality charging cable. I’ve always like the feel and build of braided cable, they are less likely to tear from sudden pulls. Major wins The design of the charger itself is great. I like the clamshell look, and the magnetic latch keeps the charger closed when not in use. Usage Chargers are some of the easiest items to use. You simply plug the USB-C to the charger, and the other end to a power source, and open the clamshell. The phone charging port is magsafe compatible so you’ll know when your iphone is on the charging port correctly. You can charge both the phone and your watch at the same time. My only tiny issue is that there’s no led light that indicates that the port is powered correctly. Adding that would probably add to the cost, so it’s not a big issue. The charger works well, and is small and portable. Minor gripe You have the option to have the have the watch charging port stand up. While I like this as a feature, the act of getting the port out of its housing is quite annoying. Primarily for People who need a smaller compact travel charger, or for anyone who doesn’t have one at all. All in all It’s a nice little compact travel wireless charger. This can be used for in home or travel use. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn’t have one.

This Twelve South - ButterFly SE 2-in-1 Qi2 Travel Charger has been great for travel and everyday use. Its compact design makes it perfect to pack in my carry-on/overnight bag. I like taking minimal items when I travel so having one charge for my Apple watch and iPhone are helpful for me. The Twelve South - ButterFly SE 2-in-1 Qi2 Travel Charger has a few different ways you can charge your devices, my favorite is to put it where the iPhone goes into night stand mode letting me see the clock if I wake up during the night. I use an Insignia brand 30watt wall plug to give the charger enough power to charge both my watch and phone overnight. As most Qi chargers I have used, it does get a bit warm while in use, so make sure you keep the area around it clear so it can stay as cool as possible to avoid overheating. Overall I like this Twelve South - ButterFly SE 2-in-1 Qi2 Travel Charger, I find it’s compact design useful for home and travel. The magnets on the watch and phone charger are strong enough to keep your devices in place while charging.

Twelve South - ButterFly SE 2-in-1 Qi2 Travel Charger Summary: Compact 2-in-1 charger. Use: When traveling its always such a nuisance to carry around multiple cables or charging pads. My last one for an iPhone and watch we a cabled one with a Y at the end for each device type. It worked fine, but it easily tangled and eventually frayed at the sleeve at the end of one end of the cord. This made it finicky to use as you had to adjust the angles just right. The Butterfly, by Twelve South, simplifies things. First, you just need your USB-C cable nearby. It's now the only cable(s) I need to carry. Second, you need a charging brick to go with. I tried only the brick I use regularly which is a 100W Anker PD. The charging times seemed typical for a Qi charger (we have many fixed units). I used timers to remind me to check charge levels. Following are the charge levels of an Apply Watch Ultra: Start of test the watch was at 17% @ 2:06 pm. In 30 minutes, the charge was 41% In 60 minutes, the charge was 85%. In 90 minutes, the charge was 100%. I tried using the charger as a stand for my iPhone (landscape). I have to say, that while it does work, it is a bit underwhelming and unstable. I wouldn't include that "feature" in the product's marketing. The unit is convenient, portable, and works, though it's a bit pricey given that the unit does not include its own (30W+) charger. Pros: * Size. Form factor is nice and small. * Function. The unit performs as well for its size. * Port. USB-C is a given, but it was able to accept different charger sizes without issue (60W to 100W USB-C PD). Cons: * Price. I think this unit is a bit pricey for what it does and when compared against the competition. Its wonky form factor is cool, but that's about it.

This is a nice little charger that’s designed to be portable. It has a creative magnetic flip-around design that gives you a little solid puck shape when it’s not in use, super easy to toss into your bag and not worry about it getting tangled or lost. When you want to use it, it flips open into one of several configurations. You can configure it as a charging stand for your watch, open it flat to charge watch and phone together, or fold it into a stand for your phone (although I couldn’t get my phone to stay put without leaning it against something else). I was disappointed that this charger did not come with a power adapter. Most Qi2 chargers (the higher speed ones) require a special adapter, so I assumed that I would get one. However, it looks like they now expect you to supply your own 20W or 30W (not sure which, the packaging is contradictory on this) or larger power supply. At least it comes with a USB-C cable that uses standard connectors, so there’s a good chance you already have the necessary power brick lying around. Speaking of Qi2, this does charge faster than some other chargers, but keep in mind that wireless charging is never as fast as wired charging. I didn’t time how quickly this particular product charges, but it’s not the fastest charger I’ve used with my phone. Not even the fastest wireless charger. I assume the charging speed probably also depends on the power supply you use with it. I was also underwhelmed by the nightstand feature in the design. While the idea is great—flip the puck around to different shapes, relying on built-in magnets to hold it in place—it didn’t work very well with my phone. It kept slipping out of place and my phone would end up flat on the table when I tried to prop it up for StandBy mode. I ended up just leaning it against the lamp on my table to get my phone to stay in StandBy. Nightstand Mode works great with my watch on this charger, though. Especially considering that you need to supply your own power source for this, it’s not the most economical charging solution. However, it is a nice portable form factor that’s easy to use and gets the job done.

If you own an Apple Watch and are looking to reduce the number of cords and accessories you bring with you on trips to charge your devices, the ButterFly SE is a great choice. The unit is compact, measuring a little over 2 inches in diameter and less than an inch thick, so easily fits in your hand or a pocket. It weighs less than 4 oz (~100 g) and has a couple of configuration options for charging up to 2 devices, provided one of them is an Apple watch. The charger needs to be plugged in via USB-C to a 20W wall adapter (not included) but does come with its own tangle-resistant 5ft USB-C to USB-C nylon-braided cable. It has no internal battery, but can be used with power bankds on-the-go. The puck separates into two magnetic halves connected by a synthetic leather strap. Both the inner and outer faces are magnetic, so you can either lay both halves side-by-side with the inside faces up for charging two devices or clasp the halves back-to-back for charging a single device. The charging surfaces are lined with the same pleather as the connecting strap and one side features a MagSafe Qi2 surface, allowing you to wirelessly charge any iPhone model from 12 onward with a secure magnetic hold. Other phones may require a compatible phone case to utilize the MagSafe ring, which I have for my Samsung Galaxy 24 Ultra. When using single-sided, you can also stand the puck up on its side to use the device as a stand while your phone charges which is pretty convenient. The Qi2 surface outputs 15W max, allow my phone to charge at “super fast” speeds for a full charge from 0% in under 2 hours. This charging pad can also be used to charge other Qi chargeable devices like earbud cases. The other side has a pop-up Apple Watch charging puck, so you can either charge the watch laying flat with the screen facing towards the ceiling or “standing” in nightstand mode oriented horizontally (landscape mode). The Apple Watch portion outputs 5W Max and charges the watch from empty to full in about an hour. Note that this side can only be used to charge Apple Watches, so you won’t be able to charge your phone and ear buds at the same time, for example. Overall, the Butterfly SE provides exactly what I want from a compact and lightweight travel charger. It can wirelessly charge my phone and Apple Watch simultaneously, so I only need one USB-C cable and charging brick. The magnets adhere strongly to MagSafe compatible devices and the watch. It can also be used as a phone stand while charging, and the pop-up watch charger lets me use nightstand mode on the Apple Watch as well.

I was just about to travel for work and my Twelve South - ButterFly SE 2-in-1 Qi2 Travel Charger - Black arrived. This is a great little charger and it takes up only about as much space as a 30 watt charger including the USB C chord it comes with. Note, it does not come with a charging block. I first thought that was a drawback but USB C outlets are everywhere now however you will not get the full performance of the ButterFly SE with a lower output. I didn't find the lower output plugs to be a problem because I mostly found myself using this for longer periods, it was more convenient to just use a lightning cable and my phone while on the go, but when in the airport on a delay it was great to use as a stand. This will charge my watch and air pods too, great feature. I was concerned because I have an aftermarket watch band. The mag watch charger disk flips up to accommodate the lack of flexibility of my watch band so I can use it for a stand, charge my watch and my phone at the same time. This easily takes the place of my standard watch charger and charging block, especially while traveling, great product.

When I travel, I always have to carry a bunch of different cables and adapters to make sure my iPhone and Apple Watch can charge. The Butterfly SE Charger is an amazing addition to my charging arsenal. Its compact, easy to use, and looks great. In the box is the actual charger and a nicely braided USB C cable. The charger consists of 2 small pucks that are attached together with a flat leather piece. They stay together magnetically. One puck has the MagSafe charger and the other has the Apple Watch charger, which can fold out so you can use your Watch in Nightstand mode. The entire charger is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, yet it is very capable. Charging speed is the same as using a regular Apple MagSafe charger and can do 15W. Another great feature is the ability to charge AirPods as well. I can place my AirPods Pro 2 case on the MagSafe side and keep it fully charged. Twelve South did a great job with the Butterfly SE 2 Charger. It eliminates the need for so many cables and adapters while adding so many features. Really happy with this charger and highly recommend.

The ButterFly “SE” (I’m guessing that stands for Special Edition) is an update of their Butterfly Mag-Safe charger released last year. With the release of MagSafe on the iPhone12, Apple was jumping over the prior Qi fast charging by adding magnetic alignment of your device to the charging coil. If your phone was slightly out of register with a Qi charger, the charging performance could be noticeably degraded. And Apple allowed charging up to 15W with MagSafe, whereas Qi was limited to 7.5W. With the tuning of the circuits now to fully offer some MagSafe features to Android devices, the charging specification name has changed to Qi2 from MagSafe. However, with the new standards, Qi2 will deliver 15W charging, with Apple contributing to the consortium developers. But if you get a new iPhone 16 and use it with one of Apple's MagSafe chargers and a 30W power adapter, you can now get even faster 25W charging speeds. So it remains unclear to me whether the Butterfly SE delivers 25W to my iPhone 16, or I need to use a MagSafe branded charger and a 30W power source. The differences is speed of charging isn’t that critical to me, for I usually charge the phone for hours overnight, and shaving a few minutes off with 25W over 15W is not an issue. This compact, 2-in-1 Qi2 charger is claimed to be the most compact 2-in-1 charger available. And packing it for a getaway, or easily dropping it into your tote for taking to work or a quick business trip couldn’t be easier. It clicks together and stays secure due to the magnets. This minimalist accessory charges both your iPhone and Apple Watch (or AirPods) at the same time from just one outlet. By its design, the ButterFly SE can double as a slim hands-free viewing stand for iPhone or Apple Watch on your desk or bedside table. In it horizontally oriented stand, the iPhone enters into the StandBy mode, which can show you a choice of a rotating picture display, your calendar for the day, a clock readout, or a dual display. These choices are easily picked out under the General section, under the StandBy section. If you choose NightMode, the display turns to a red tint, lessening any sleep disturbances.
The watch in a vertical display will similarly display a time read out, dimming itself to off at night time to lessen sleep disturbing light. The Butterfly as originally released had an aluminum finish, and was billed as a MagSafe adapter. The new ButterFly SE is now listed as a Qi2 charger, as discussed above, and ups the power for the use of devices that are not Apple brand products. And it is priced $30 less than the original, but does not include the 30 W power source, which is required to get maximum charging from the stand. It does still include the 1 meter long USB-C charging cable, now color coordinated to your white, black, or pink SE, with a very nice woven fabric cable coating. The ButterFly SE is smaller than my prior dual charger, as noted in my photos. The ButterFly is claimed to be the “world’s smallest” dual charger, and stated to be the size of the AirPodsPro charging case. You can use the phone Qi2 site as a AirPods charging site when not charging your phone. Twelve South states that it utilizes “any 30W charger” to have optimal Qi2 charging speed of 15W. Not having a spare 30W charger around, the ButterFly seemed to work very well with a 20W USB-C source. Compatible with iPhones with MagSafe (series 12 and up), Apple Watch (all series, including Ultra and SE models), and AirPods with Wireless Charging Case. The Butterfly SE weighs just over 4 oz (119 grams), and is 2.4 inches in diameter, and under 1 inch thick when folded. A high-quality, 2-in-1 charger that fits in the palm of your hand, ButterFly SE charges your two most important Apple devices, iPhone and Watch, at the same time. This sleek charger is covered in a soft-touch non-slip finish in Black, White or Pink. A color-coordinating braided USB-C charging cable is included. Power supply (not included with the SE): You can use any 30W USB-C power adapter with ButterFly SE. The original ButterFly had a 30W power adapter and 4 extra international outlet adapters included. The original came in an aluminum case, whereas the SE is a soft touch rubber finish and 3 color choices.

Here is my review of the TwelveSouth ButterFly SE Travel Charger upon which I rate at 4 out of 5 stars. Out of the box, the product comes with an Owner's Guide and USB-C to USB-C charging cable. The device does NOT come with a power adapter/charger. As for a power adapter, a 30-watt charger is required. Do not be confused with the packaging as the box states the use of a 20-watt power adapter is required and the owner's manual states 30-watts or higher power adapter. The device is very compact and easy to carry and makes a great EDC - everyday carry item. The device will charge both your Apple Watch and iPhone at the same time. It charges your supported devices by Qi2 technology delivering up to 15-watts of power allowing its magnets to align your device to the charging surface to improve charging speed. Through my use of this device, I charged my Apple Watch and iPhone at the same time overnight and had no issues. The device has the ability to position itself allowing you to use it as a stand, for watch or phone, to mirror an alarm clock in night mode. This device will be great for travelers or those who just like a convenient and compact charger. My only negative comment on this device is for the price-point, there should be an included 30-watt power adapter for which I deducted 1-star in the overall review. I hope you like my review of this product and it helps you in your purchasing decision.

I am very picky when it comes to choosing a charger for my iPhone and my apple watch, specially wireless chargers. After checking Twelve South Website, they are a well stablished company dedicated to making cell phone accessories, gadgets, and chargers for apple products. Finding a device that can charge an iPhone and Apple watch wirelessly, simultaneously, efficiently and at the same time reliable is a challenge. I just got my brand new iPhone 16, and also have the apple watch series 7 45mm, and this dual charger does the job, using a 30w wall power adapter charger (specs states that a 20w is enough), the ButterFly SE 2-in-1 Qi2 charges both devices fast. After some research, I found that the reason it’s so efficient is the Qi2 techonology that this unit is using for the wireless charging, which is a standard now and was developed by Apple. With that being said, I feel peace of mind that my iPhone wont break. Even with the iPhone case on the phone the magnet has a strong grip on the phone. It can also charge all the gens of airpods. I am also using it in my car because its small size matches perfectly on the tray located in the centre console. I appreciate that the Twelve South includes a long USB-C to USB-C cable (5feet). I wish other companies would do that. The cable also feels reinforced and durable. Obviously when I use it in my car I use a very short USB-C cable. Clever idea that the apple watch charger tilts up to use in a nightstand mode, I like it. And if you are using only the charger for the phone you can also place your iPhone as stand. The packaging looks professionally made, nothing to envy other brands like apple. It has a 1 year warranty, very affordable price, small, portable, reliable, efficient and the fast charger makes me feel confident in using it with a device worth having.

Love the fact that this charger snaps together to make it easier to keep in your pack for travel. Only extra item that would make this even better is a more elegant way to store the cord but you can keep the coils in between the folded rubber between the two pucks. Charging was plenty fast via wireless and preferable for me versus some of the more powerful chargers as I generally charge while I'm sleeping so slower actually works better. Watch gets put in the perfect position to use it as a clock and with the magback setup, getting it situated correctly is a breeze. As pretty much every charger nowadays, it doesn't include a brick but assumably everyone has about 50 at this point. Wiring to plug into the brick does come included and the watch charger portion sits into the housing so you can pull it up via a small inset and position as you prefer for the angle for the watch face. I started with it almost upright but quickly tilted it back slightly so I could see it better while in bed.

I received my Butterfly SE charger from Twelve South just in time, as I had to spend the night in the hospital recently for some tests, so I was able to take it with me. The Butterfly SE allows you via it’s Qi2 charging to charger a phone and Apple watch at the same time, so you only need the one device. Being magnetic, it closes to somewhat resemble a tiny hokey puck, although I guess I was hungry as it also looks a bit like a larger chocolate cookie! Either way, when closed, it’s only a couple of inches, so will fit into your travel bag or even your pocket (minus the cable) really easily. It comes with a 3 ft braided USB-C to USB-C power cord (very nice quality cord), but unfortunately no power adapter, so you’ll need to provide one for yourself (preferably around 30 watts to get full use out of the device). When pulled open, the Butterfly SE’s two sides are attached by a leathery-ish strap, so basically you have two halves open. One side provides Qi2 charging for your iPhone or other Q-compatible phones that have wireless charging. I tried this out using an iPhone 15+ as well as a Pixel 9, and both phones charged immediately upon being put onto the charger. The magnet held them firmly in place, but note that if you use a case, some cases may interfere with the magnet’s strength – mine worked fine. Charging speeds are ok, but not “fast”; this is something you’ll most likely use when you have time to leave the phone on the charger for a while. It warms up a bit when in use for longer periods, but I haven’t found it to be hot-hot yet. You can also use the same pad for the phone, for wireless earbud cases and many other Q-compatible devices. The other side of the device has an Apple Watch disk charger on it. This ONLY charges Apple Watches. A nurse at the hospital tried putting her Android watch on it and it did nothing – it did however, charge my Apple Watch relatively quickly. At home, it did not work with a Pixel Watch I tried, but I didn’t expect it to at this point. You need to flatten your watch out, or, you can flip the charging disk up vertically and sit your watch carefully on it’s side to get a charge. You can flip the two sides of the Butterfly around and close it to use it at a phone stand of sorts, but I found this awkward and a bit unstable. When not in use, you can again just close the Butterfly back into it’s puck-like state. Overall I really like the Butterfly SE, but there are a couple of issues I have with it as-is. While it’s well made, the strap that connects the two sides together feels a bit flimsy to me, and as if over time it could tear or break with heavy use if you’re not careful. Also, the price. This is a fairly expensive charger for what it is, and while it’s unique and compact, the cost-vs-benefit is pretty tight. I do recommend it, but have reservations unless it’s on sale or you have a very specific need for it’s small size. I just wish the overall quality of the device’s strap that connects the two sides was as good as the high quality of the charging cable that comes with it. At this price point, I do think a charging adapter should be included. So again, recommended, with reservations.

This charger is great for travel or home use. I mainly got it to use when I travel to be able to use the StandBy feature of my phone, and this works great for that. It is a little larger than you would expect, but the build quality is pretty good, and this design is really hard to beat. When you have both charging pads being used, it is not the fastest, but for longer charging sessions or overnight, it's totally fine.

I have an iPhone 15. It wouldn’t charge it. My iPhone 12 charged just fine. I do like the smallness of it and it does charge off a battery pack.

This worked great for a travel setup. On the road for work a lot and all the cables can be a hassle.
