Always liked this movie and glad to add it to my collection. The special effects are dated and at times a bit hokey, but it's still a great story with plenty of thrills and excitement, plus some humor. It's a fun watch. The blu-ray video quality isn't great - doesn't seem much better than standard DVD. Nevertheless, a good get especially for the sale price.

This movie is no great prize on the story front, but it's certainly a spectacle that is what every summer blockbuster strives to be...FUN! I remember seeing this in the theater back in the mid-90's & I remember walking out of the theater with a huge grin on my face b/c of the fun I had watching it. Seeing this on bluray, with the excellent sound & picture just bring back those fun memories. It has excellent rewatchability. If that's even a word.

Excellent movie. A classic! I remember when this came out in 1996. Video quality is very good for an older movie. Sound is ok...not great. No movie code. Just a bare bones bluray box and a single disc. A must buy for fans of the movie. This movie would be so much better with atmos sound. Or even 4k Pick it up today its very cheap.

We had just purchased our first blu-ray player and wanted some blu-ray videos to watch. Since I couldn't find anything we liked at then Best Buy store, we ordered this one on line. It came quicker than we expected and played very well on our player. This is one of our favorite movies and we only had it in VHS.

happy inspite of the delivery being delayed a few days, the disc is in great operating condition and the special features is awesome. I'm very thankful that there was a working tracking info to tell me the delivery was delayed even though I was a little disappointed about it. I know though life happens. Thank you again :)

The Blu-ray version of "Twister" is a wonderful upgrade to the DVD version in picture and sound quality. There are several extras on this version not on my DVD copy, so the upgrade was well worth it, especially in view of the $4.99 price.

Released as a summer blockbuster movie in 1996, Twister is pure escapist entertainment. In that capacity, it does the trick. Twister is the definition of a "popcorn flick". I'm a big fan of Bill Paxton, and Helen Hunt never looked better. This looks pretty good on my 60" Plasma TV -- noting that the picture quality is a little soft and noticeably lacks film grain. The black levels are very good though. Where it really shines is the Dolby TrueHD 5.1 soundtrack. It absolutely rocks! If you're a fan of this film, or this film genre, this is a definite upgrade from the DVD release.

An oldie but a goodie. I still enjoy this after all these years. It is amazing how far special effects have come since this was made. This disc includes commentary track and several features about the film making process.

Twister! Easily the best movie and the one on top of my list. It actually helps me sleep. Weird? I know, right? I wish they would've made a sequel but I feel it would've maybe messed up the original. The blu-ray quality is great as well. Definitely suggest any other person to purchase this for your collection!

My degree is in Earth Science. Storm Chasing is something that is a magnificent adventure, the adventures of these people keep you on your seat with expectation and knowing that the dynamics of nature and of the discipline is undefined from minute to minute... great movie another one of my favorites. I have seen it over and over again!

What if, right ? great movie and an except cast for that time. Specially Paxton he is great and entertaining. great to watch it louder then you should lol Great transfer from dvd to Blu-ray. Don’t think it might be necessary for a 4K maybe ?

Originally had this movie on VHS. Our VCR finally gave it up, so we needed to replace our VHS tapes with DVDs. Bought a Blu-Ray to replace our old DVD player which was also acting up (tough year for video equipment!). Wow, what a difference with Twister on Blu-Ray vs. VHS. Always a good movie, but a whole lot better on Blu-Ray.

Tornado chasing at its Hollywood'd finest. Absolutely no relation to any reality but that is what Hollywood is famous for. It was a good entertainment value, but I mistakenly bought a 2nd copy having lost track of this one, then finding it!

I really enjoyed the special effects of the movie. The To lead actors in this movie was perfect. The made it happen. The are great actors and held their own. I was nice to go back a see some of the that time new up and coming actors such as Phillip Seymour Hoffman. He was really funny in this. All in all it does grab you.

One of my favorite classics. I really enjoy the humor as well as the way the drama is entered. all though there is death, it is done in good taste. The plot of chasing tornadoes for science and then see the way two different techniques are taken is fun,plus that fact that much of was filmed in Iowa near my home does not hurt

Exciting 1996 movie about storm chasers (with a romantic sub-plot). Worth the $5 it cost if you missed it when it came out (or later on TV). It came with both blu-ray and DVD disks!

We all have those forms of guilt that you'd admit to liking a specific movie. Well this happens to be one for me. I actually saw this movie during a huge thunderstorm at the Drive-In; how ironic! There is just so much fun in this disaster film to see how it plays out and toys with the characters. Nice bits of banter within the dialogue and funny to see some of the actors back then of how some of them got started. Phillip Seymour Hoffman (R.I.P)

I found this by accident while shopping for blank CD's. I wore out the original in both VHS and then on DVD. I believe this will be the last survivor. Great movie time and time again. Much better picture quality than either version I previously purchased and the price was right at $5.99. Thanks!

I saw this movie so many times when I was a kid I almost wore out my VHS copy. I had not seen this in years and when I saw it on the shelf while shopping. I knew I had to pick up a dvd copy. This film has a great plot, great visual effects and a lot of really good actors. A must see in my opinion!

As someone who grew up with the original DVD copy of Twister and has always loved the film, going to HD is definitely an amazing jump for this film. Being able to see the effects in better clarity is truly great. If/when this gem of a film goes to 4K Blu Ray, you best believe I'll be picking that up as well.
