Wi Fi Everywhere

We recently built a small house in the backyard for my in-laws, so I was looking for a wi fi solution that would cover my entire lot so I didn't have to pay for internet service to the main house and the little house. My in laws also still use a land line through the cable company, so they have to have the actual modem in the little house. I bought AmpliFi system because it was advertised to cover up to 20,000 sq ft. It's easy to set up with the two antennae, and man does it provide coverage! I don't have any deadspots anywhere on my lot, and I even get wi fi connectivity at most of my neighbors' houses. I stream a lot of 4k content so I was concerned I would not get a fast signal in the house, but almost everywhere I get around 70 mbps download speeds (I pay for 100 mbps service - it's much faster in the little house closer to the modem, but I don't really do anything that requires that kind of speed).
I also like the look of the product. The little white cube has different displays you can set it to, and the antennae are a little odd at first, but once you get used to them they are hardly noticeable. Overall, very satisfied with this product.

I do a lot of work from home that requires a strong internet signal for viewing of medical quality movie images. With a large house have had problems with wireless signal on third floor or opposite end of house from the router which is in the center of the house.
I purchased the local cable company's "solution", which is a "panoramic" router which is supposed to extend the signal to a much larger area. It didn't. Signal was poor in several areas where I wanted to be able to use my laptop.
This Amplifi product installed very easily with the main unit connected directly to the cable router and the two wireless units placed on opposite ends of the ground floor. I now have no signal gaps anywhere, including in the room over the garage. The interface is excellent and ready to use. The only downtime issues have been due to the internet provider's issues with lots of internet and have never been related to this product.
I highly recommend this system and hope that the company stays in business since they make a great product!

It took me longer to get the router out of the box than it did to get it setup. I had already downloaded the app to my phone and within five minutes I had the router configured. A few minutes more and the mesh access points were up and running as well. It just works, it's easy to configure, and I couldn't ask for better wireless. Overall a great product from start to finish. And when I contacted support online I got a live person and had an answer to my question within five minutes.

I've only had this for about 4 days, but so far, I am extremely happy with it. It was a snap to set up. I had tried another brand and could not keep my devices connected... but with the AmpliFi HD system, that's no problem. Configuration was straight-forward, including setting up the primary network and the secured guest network. The system found, paired and configured the two mesh access points quickly and now my entire home is blanketed in wifi coverage and it could not have been easier. In addition to the wifi configuration, there are four gigabit Ethernet ports, more than most of the competition.
The only negative that I've encountered so far is the non-functional USB port on the base unit. I have a USB printer that I set up as as network printer by connecting it to my previous router... no such luck on this one. I don't understand why it was not enabled (yet), but hopefully it will be via a future firmware update.

Had been using a Starry Station wifi router for the last few years and though the speed was good, coverage left a lot to be desired. Enter Ubiquiti’s AmpliFi HD. Did some research & liked what I saw regarding ease of install & interaction (along with it’s form-factor). The clean looks definitely catch the eye & install couldn’t have been easier. Unplug the modem; swap out routers; plug the new one in followed by powering the modem back up & you’re good to go. Found a location for the two ‘mesh points’, plugged ‘em in & they pretty much auto-connected to the base.
Once that was done, I ran my updates & all was well. Ended up swapping out my old SurfBoard modem to a Netgear CM500 & I am now seriously impressed. Like I said: speed was good with the old router - if you were in the same room. I’m now seeing double- and occasionally triple-digit speeds at all corners of my property. I’m now getting solid connection to my Ring floodlight 24/7. I couldn’t be happier with this kit & definitely recomend it if you’re looking to cover a large area.

I cannot compare the AmpliFi system to other mesh systems, only to my own cobbled-together system, which was a main router, a secondary main router configured as a bridge, and two extenders. For nine years this was good enough. And then video streaming of HD or 4K video became common and connectivity problems arose. In addition we had many more devices on our network than when we had started. We have our own 14 devices, and then whatever computers and devices our guests would bring with them.
Cutting to the chase, all connectivity and speed issues that we had been having simply are gone.
We are a mostly Apple household along with non-Apple devices such as TVs and solar arrays. I chose the AmpliFi system because it was among those listed as particularly Apple-friendly. Setup meant just following the instructions.
I don’t know about the long-term viability of the AmpliFi system, but I am encouraged by its current flawless operation.

The most reliable router I've ever owned! I've owned many routers in my life, and this one is hands down the most reliable and easiest to use. Provides FULL COVERAGE without a doubt!
This is also great for controlling the kid's internet access with the use of groups and schedules.

This was an upgrade purchase from an ASUS Nighthawk AC3100
dual band router. I have it paired wit an Arris SB 8200.
I'm no expert by any means. A friend with 30-years in the industry is. His comments about HIS customers satisfaction with it's performance, reliability and ease of use made me make a needed switch. So far, it's all that. And it looks great too! The extenders have a certain stylish flair to them. I even had an additional Netgear EX3700 extender that it picked up with ease to service 1 lone device at the other end of the house.
All told, 16 devices including security cameras are in the mesh.
I've topped 500mbps download/>20mbps upload wirelessly. Good enough to have everything run smoothly so far.
The digital touch screen interface is intuitive and informative...when I've had to use it.
Value? Cost was about $350. But the real value to me is not having to mess with it all the time. Priceless.
Nice product.

I needed to get my Wi Fi signal into areas of our home where the signal was lacking. Compared many whole house systems and AMPLIFI met all the qualitifcations necessary. Setup was easy and now I have Wi Fi everywhere without a drop of signal.

I was in need of a new wireless router and was looking for expanded coverage (indoor and outdoor). This system maximizes coverage with the least number of devices necessary. My home is roughly 2,300 sq ft on a 0.34 acre (14,850 sq ft) lot. With the router in a centralized room and an extender placed in the front and back rooms of the house, I have great coverage outdoors.

I am so happy with this purchase and this was the right wifi system for me. The setup was super easy. After downloading the app and following the instructions, we were good to go super quick. Since having it installed, it has been preforming flawlessly. We have had no drop in coverage throughout the entire house. It is performing just like I'd hoped and better.

Needed a new router. Wanted a mesh system to cover the slow / dead WiFi spots. After research, I picked this system. It was the right choice! Performance has been exceptional. Our high speed service has never performed better. It was easy to set up. The app makes it easy to maintain. Our family has gone from complaining about the WiFi to enjoying the WiFi.

Since I’ve moved into my house I’ve used a linksys router. I learned which areas of my house I didn’t have internet connectivity: at the front and rear of my home. When i wanted to start a home video security at my home I knew that the router I had needed to be upgraded. Originally i heard good things of the google mesh router but when speaking to the sales associate at my local BB he recommend this and I am happy I listened.
The mesh system was so easy to setup and most of all it increased the speed and range of internet connectivity. There is an app with this system that allows you to see what devices are connected and it allows you to pause devices if you want to.

This mesh network system was very easy to setup, is just like it mentions download the app, plug the router up, and add in network name/password, pretty much only takes about 2 mins. Also if you purchase the 3 piece kit the two node are already paired to the router from factory, all you need is to find the best location and they will automatically connect. Pro’s to the app is that you can select each node to view the signal strength to the router so you can move around untill you get a signal in the 80% and above range. In my case I had to move the router across the room from the modem to get the best signal to the nodes as the house is old and gets a lot of interference, this is why it was great with the app showing connection strength for each node.

My Store manager wanted me to find a way for our customers and employees to get better wi fi signals in the various parts of our facility. We have a 2500 sq ft main showroom but additionally about 5000 more square feet of area to cover. Previously we used a system that include repeaters and they were o.k., but we want our customer experience to be better than o.k. This mesh system was a game changer. Easy install, seamless transition of all previous connections. 5 by 5 comm everywhere on the facility. Worked so well, I bought a second system for my home to handle on the "Smart" equipment we are installing, Nest, Ring, Alexa, Bulbs, etc. GREAT. Just simply, GREAT. Highly satisfied.

Signal strength evenly distributed all over the house. I live in a 3 stores townhome, usually the 2 stores where the router were not located suffer with lost of strength in the signal. After install this mesh network, I can enjoy a good signal anywhere in the house without any worries moving inside the house.

Purchased this because my previous WiFi wouldn’t reach the garage, had an AirPort Extreme.
This thing reaches all the way to the garage and across the yard and out to the street.
iOS app is great, lots of advanced features! I was cautious because of the price, but it was worth it, coverage is superb.
