Wired Performace is very bad , severe packet loss
Jury still out but their support isn’t the best. On gig interface for 200mbps hard wired cat6
Coverage of WiFi was great
App is easy to use and great if you are a novice and don’t want the fuss
WiFi speeds were good
Probably a better product than eero pro because of price, coverage and setup time
I will upgrade to 4 stars if they end up fixing the interface issue

I've used a number of wireless routers in a variety of apartments over the years and this one by far is the best one I've ever used. Whether you have a one store or two story house or apartment this is the router for you. Leaves you're entire house covered with wifi coverage and the ability to add more mesh repeaters is just an added bonus. Setup and configuration is as easy as one, two three and you're good to go.

This system is incredible. The range, style and ease of use can't be beat. I am a network admin so I work with alot of this equipment. Ubiquiti makes great enterprise equipment, but this is great for for the consumer level. the only flaw is the firewall is super weak, i recommend running this in a double NAT setup and keeping either you ISP firewall or a more robust 3rd party firewall. other than that A+++++++

If you need a reliable router that installs flawlessly, this is it. No more hiccups when streaming. Should cover most houses, but extra units to extend coverage are available. I am using it for a 3000 square foot home and have a strong WiFi signal everywhere. I did a lot of research on routers, and this one delivers! The app for the unit is excellent. I love being able to check my up and down load speed.

This mesh has been solid for 2 months. The signal is strong in every corner of the house (FIOS repeater was much weaker in the same area). Updates never cause a problem.

This Router has saved me a lot of time and frustration, and has given lots of hands on control with my phone. It was a breeze to set up and very easy to trouble shoot network issues. This replaced a very good NightHawk 8, but stepped up for the dead spots!!! This was by far, worth every cent!

This thing has incredible range. My top floor smart tv's would constantly loss connectivity and speed test resulting in 2 to 5 mb transfer speed and the tv's and Roku would hang. Now with the Ubiguiti I get between 30 and 150 mb transfer rate and haven't had a hiccup with connectivity ever since and that's about 2 months now. You can't go wrong and always have full strength on the repeaters.

Went to buy another brand and the customer service rep suggested this one and it was cheaper. It was relatively easy to set up and it boosted our signal all throughout our house! We have the fastest internet speed and couldn't watch Netflix in one room and had no internet upstairs. Now it's wicked fast everywhere and we can have 3 TV's watching Netflix now. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you need a WiFi booster!

Switched from the Apple airport system. Fantastic coverage across most of my property. I bought this to get wireless service in my pole barn and it’s been great.

I installed this Amplifi HD to use for my Nest cameras at my gate. I have a 4 acre property and the gate is about 400 feet from my house. My house is also a concrete blocked house so getting that distance through those wall is impressive. This was the easiest Wifi setup I have ever encountered, as I am 55 years old, I have seen my fair share of Wifi frustration.

I have been having network woes for a bit now. I have a heavy network load in the house. The house itself is a single story home built in the mid 90's so I didn't think I should have the network issues I did...but man did I. My original setup was the most recent generation Apple Time Capsule. It original did fine, though there was some signal loss once you were on our back deck. I decided to add a newer Airport Express on the back deck to both boost the network and have Airplay music back there. But even with that it seemed the network was poor around the house. I'd normally get between 40 & 50 Mbps if I was in the room the Time Capsule was in, but the speed elsewhere was not great...20's in some parts, 10-15 on our decks and it seemed erratic at times.
It's important to note in the house are: 2 smartphones, 2 tablets, a laptop, 2 wireless cameras, a wireless alarm system, a Nest, 2 Apple TV's, Smart TV, 2 game consoles and maybe a couple other items I'm forgetting now. So there is a pretty good demand on the network...around 20-21 devices.
After trying different things...like changing router placement, etc...I threw up my hands and decided to purchase one of the new mesh systems. I had been eyeing the AMPLIFI HD for a while...but was hesitant to lay out the money for it. I finally did bite the bullet though the other day after it had been languishing in my cart for some time.

We had a serious dead spot in the basement and with two teenage boys, our router was not working well for us. We went in to buy an extender, and walked out with the Amplifi mesh system. We have not been disappointed. We have placed a wand in the basement and one in the garage. We have no more dead spots in our basement and we have wifi in our shop! Even our alarm technician was impressed!!
We have 3 teenagers who all are on wifi and I work from home. I have not experienced an issue with my speed or access.
One of my favorite parts is that you can name the wands and connect to those instead of everyone connecting to the main wifi. And guest wifi is a bonus to keep our connection secure.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking to rectify those dead spots, who has teenagers that are sucking up your wifi or just looking to boost your wifi.
I am not technologically savvy at all, and it was super easy for me to set up.

Over the years I have used networking products from the major brands and I have had good and bad experiences. I bought this unit after researching mesh networking and this unit seemed to have a small, but growing fan club. All I can say, is WOW! I plugged it in, went through a simple and brief setup. Done! All my network devices, including my Blink camera system (which was very hard to keep on with my previous network set), went to full bars and smooth communication. This may he the first expensive networking device I purchased (not on sale), that I did not mind paying one single dime of. For your consideration: my home is 2100sq ft, my shop and camper are away from the house (approximately 35 ft from the last repeater) and I get full bars throughout my home and 4/5 bars in my shop and camper.

Took care of all dead spots in the house with just the main unit. I have not got to try out the distance they advertised but have had a unit over 300 feet from the house receiving a very good signal. Price is a little higher but so far it has been worth the difference. I tried another brand and this drives circles around a similar priced system

I was having a slow connection to my ring video cameras. I decided instead of getting a couple of their range extenders, id just upgrade my failing router instead. This works FANTASTIC! Their support online was great and I was able to chat with someone right away about separating the WiFi into a 5ghz and 2ghz bands. I was also informed that I can add more extenders if I later want to. So far it works great, and support seems really good, so I’ll give it a 5.

I did a lot of research prior to buying this router. I read comparisons between this and the Orbi, Velop, Eero, Luma, Google Wifi etc. I also read many of the positive and negative reviews here on Best Buy as well as Amazon, and across the web.
I pay for 150 Mbps and prior to getting this router I was getting about 85 and it was really bothering me that I couldn't even get the speeds I was paying for. Immediately, and since I purchased this router I am getting around 250 Mbps in my speed tests. almost 100Mbps more than I am paying for. It is fantastic.
I'm not sure what the issue with people complaining about the speed of this router is, but it must be their setup. One note is that I set this router up through a standalone DOCSIS 3.1 Modem (NOT a modem/router combo), and I am not sure if everyone does that. I assume that some people just bridge this router through an existing Modem/Router. Either way, this has been one of the best purchases I have made in terms of immediately seeing a performance improvement in my home.

I had been researching Personal Mesh networks for a while before purchasing one. The Ubiquiti met all the standards I was looking for future expansion if needed, ease of setup, control features.
What sealed it for me was WPA-2 vulnerability that came up recently. I opened my ubiquiti app to see if there was an update low and behold it was. I updated my network by literally clicking a button. I have had zero issues with this product, it has extended my wifi coverage even out into my backyard and I even get full download speeds that far out.

Thus far, the AmplifiHD mesh has been worth every penny!
Some reviews are grounded in a fundamental misconception that mesh WiFi will equate to faster WiFi speeds. While mesh setups improve speeds in many cases, better speed is NOT necessarily the point of mesh WiFi. The point of mesh WiFi is to get stronger and more stable WiFi connectivity throughout your home and the AmplifiHD does just that. I’m getting stronger signals, lower latency, and significantly reduced packet loss in every corner of my home.
PROS:
- Incredibly easy to set up.
- User-friendly mobile app to manage your network.
- Ability to manage your home network remotely via VPN.
- Support for PPPoE with VLAN tagging. Means this will be compatible with fiber internet services such as CenturyLink.
CONS:
- You don’t have full admin access to adjust settings on this system. You are limited to the settings/adjustments available in the mobile app. Some may find this problematic.

I finally decided to upgrade our wireless router and picked up the orbi. Tested and returned a few days later after not being impressed with this whole home system. I picked up this AMPLIFI HD system that has a much faster start up procedure and has much better range with the included two mesh point extenders. I’ve been very happy with the system so far.
