I added this to my desktop which only had a 1Gbps NIC on the motherboard, though this would work just as well for a laptop or other machine. It works great in Windows 10, though it didn't show up until I plugged in the ethernet, which was a bit odd. But once I plugged in the cable, it showed up in Windows and grabbed an IP and has been stable since. It's a bit thicker than the 1Gbps versions I've had over the years, but given the faster speed, it seems fine. It's also no prohibitive or anything; just something to note.
Overall, a great value compared to the more expensive options.
