I don't know what the critics were going on about, my wife and I watched this movie last night and we both thought it was a good suspenseful scifi horror movie. As far as I'm concerned this movie is a keeper and a welcome addition to our collection.

While this movie is not perfect, it deserves more praise than it generally gets. If you like sci-fi movies with action and horror, you should give this one a try. Especially if you are an Alien franchise fan, this movie might be right up your alley.

This was a good movie. It had lots of suspense and some scary moments. I'm not big on horror flicks but this had enough Sci Fi in it to keep my attention.

Has some ripe tension and some very well executed suspense. Some of the best use of set design and cinematography as well. Very underrated sci-fi/horror flick!

I enjoyed this movie way more than I should've. The plot & settings aren't original but it works well. You feel like you're part of the crew trying to survive.

An underrated movie...period. Hook this up to a great home audio set up and you will watch this one time and again. Maybe there’s a sequel 6 years later to come...seeing how they wait so long to bring out the next one.

This movie starts with a bang and there is no fat. It takes the underwater creature tropes and creates a tight and taut thriller. The video is soft but still clear and the DTS-HD MA is powerful. There are good and lengthy extras.

Heard this movie was pretty good, especially for the budget. Wow! Fun, claustrophobic, tense. Not going to rewrite the genre, but it's worth seeking out.

It's basically Aliens underwater, but it's a phenomenally well done movie that's even better the more you get lost in it. It would have been nice to have a 4K release, but the Blu Ray itself looks really good.

Reminded me of the original Alien movie. Great movie. There were a couple of missed opportunities to make it a better movie, but still a good flick.

If your a nail biter be Suspenseful action. Nail biters be warned wear gloves while watching this film. Great special efx. Very good movie.

I would’ve preferred a 4K release for this one, but it is a solid blu ray release. Highly underrated little flick, a lot of fun.

This is one amazing, exciting underwater movie and the creature was like none that I have ever seen before. you never knew what to expect.

Awesome sci-fi film that was underrated and under estimated. From start to finish it was awesome I rented it from the red box on a whim and then I bought it the next day so I can have it.

The one scene in the preview is not in the film. It looked good, so I don't know why it wasn't there. The one thing in the water is icky looking, but doesn't have many scenes. The group has great teamwork.

This movie deserves a lot more recognition. It's not going to win any Academy Awards, but it's still an enjoyable watch that's paced very well.

This movie was much better than I anticipated. It was very tense, and it was fun to watch my girl jump (nearly) directly out of her seat. :)

A little short on character development but makes up for it with non stop action. A real sense of suspense and dread. Just good sci-fi action.

"Underwater" was not bad for a B-grade horror movie. They don't waste a lot of time on story. The plot is "get out alive." And it reminded me a lot of the original "Alien" film from 1979, but underwater instead of in space. The cast does a pretty good job, led by Kristen Stewart. And this film was definitely influenced by the concept of Cthulhu (and the Deep Ones), created by H.P. Lovecraft. "Underwater" is a fun horror movie to check out.
