Growing up back in the day I enjoyed watching these B/W oldies late in the night usually on the weekend. Now I can enjoy them all over again in this Blu-ray format. They're all here - Boris Karloff , Bela Lugosi , Lon Chaney , Dwight Frye and all the rest of the fine supporting cast. Grab some popcorn and relive the horror and atmosphere of the Universal Horror Collection.......

This is an exceptionally priced set for these classic movie monster films. All of the discs include a plethora of special features and the film quality is masterfully digitized. My only drawbacks from the set is that the casing feels flimsy. The discs are held within cardboard sleeves but the artwork is fantastic. Other sets of these films average $60 to $90 so this set is very reasonably priced. Although I wish there was a digital version included overall this was a great purchase and enjoyable to watch.

I was holding out for the Alex Ross steelbooks for the Universal Monsters but couldn't justify even the sale price for each one. This box set is a killer value. It's the same box set as the Essential Collection released a while back but comes with the Ross artwork in the form of the nice slip cover and postcards.

This BD collection features fantastic transfers of the introductory Universal Monster films. Neat extras compliment this collection. The real reason to buy this is the packaging. Featuring art by Alex Ross as well as including what are referred to as art cards, this box set has a pleasing glossy finish. The insert in which the movies come in opens up like a book and features poster art, movie summary, and a list of special features for every film.

The Overall Rating isn't reflective of the content included, which is outstanding. These are some of the best thrillers every made and must owns. The packaging, as beautiful as it is, is hindered by a box set designed that requires you to slide out the discs of "individual pages." Be careful here, as such a method can cause scratches and dings to the discs. Otherwise, the Alex Ross artwork is a stunner here.

In the horror genre you don’t get more iconic then these movies especially Frankenstein and bride of Frankenstein. It’s coming up on 100 years since these movies were made, and these movies will still be watched 100 years from now.

If you're the type of viewer who can appreciate classic monster movies from the 1930s-1940s, this collection is for you. All the films are re-mastered and come at you with Blu-Ray quality. At the price point I paid, these monsters are $5 each--which is a definite bargain. Some of the films are better than others, but there's a reason why these iconic monsters are still around today.

Can't beat this collection for the price on a per movie basis. Nicely packaged. Digitally remastered and cleaned up versions. Looks great and there are hours of extras. A must have for die hard horror fans. See where it all began!

With great custom packaging with art by Alex ross this collection will make any Monster fan more than happy. Each disc has a plethora of great extras for fans looking for more knowledge behind the movies. Great collection!

Never have I seen any of these movies before so I didn't know what to expect. Needless to say I love this set and ALL these movies. The artwork throughout this Boxset is beautiful. I'm glad I decided to buy this set

They don’t make movies like this anymore. Gotta love those classic Universal Monsters! They are all here in this fantastic box set. My two favorites are the Wolfman and the Creature From The Black Lagoon.

Great Set of movies with beautiful set of 7 Alex Ross art Universal Monsters cards! My only wish is that these were 4K bluray discs with regular bluray included. Universal Video like to double dip a lot!

I remember staying up late to watch these films (and being scared) as a child. Not scary the same way Michael Myers is, but this collection has all of the classics. Love sharing them with my kids.

Classic monster movies that had withstood the changes of the time. Still frightening, intense and full of heart. The blu-ray remaster looks brilliant! This collection is for all horror fans.

I was always excited as a child to watch them on TV with dad. We'd put all the pillows on the floor in the living room and watch till we fell asleep. Can't go wrong with the classics!

This box set includes the classic Universal Monsters. Plus it has art from Alex Ross, who is an amazing artist! The movies are great if your into the older movies!

Classic, classic, classic…. Nice collection of monster movies from yesteryear. I definitely like these originals and they are perfect for the Halloween season.
