This movie is actually amazing, reminded me a lot of Ex Machina, which was a super high tech future thriller with a rather horrific (in what it makes you think about) twist ending. Yes Upgrade has a major twist at the end that you never see coming, and it's freaky in the fact you can easily imagine some company doing exactly this with technology integrated into the human body one day. Upgrade has been called in reviews 'the movie that Venom wanted to be' and I fully agree. The story is better, the violence and action is a lot more intense, you feel for the characters much more, and the ending as stated will blow your mind, no pun intended. For comparison, it's like if The Punisher met John Wick and Venom obviously, then had a super technological future dystopia baby of a movie. There's the guy you feel for and pull for getting quite justified revenge for the murder of his wife, and yet there's the twists which really will keep you amazed by the concept of the movie even after it's over.

When I ordered this movie I was expecting a B-movie, something mediocre at best. But this movie was actually very good. The story line is unique. The story takes place in a future where very powerful and complex computers are commonplace. Like most science fiction movies, you have to suspend reality a bit to indulge the story. But the writing, acting, and action make it believable enough to be a very interesting and entertaining movie. The story keeps your interest, and there is plenty of action sprinkled here and there.

Entertaining, original concept, Logan Marshall-Green exudes sex appeal. There's a very short VERY touching scene with his mother that brought tears to my eyes. Very emotional. Definitely not a Hollywood ending which was refreshing to see. Harrison Gilbertson's character was the only one I had a problem with. I've not seen him in anything but this movie and if this is an indication of his acting talents, I'll avoid seeing him in anything where he's not the first character killed off...or not in a coma.

An action sci-fi movie on a level all its own. Strong smart story that makes your mind work while making your eyes feast on nonstop action. Everyone should see this movie! Grand picture and audio makes this disc a must have.

I was blown away by this movie when I first saw it. It made me feel the way I felt when I saw the original Matrix. It is stylish and original, something we dont really get today in movies. I can't give away too much other than a man is badly hurt and his wife is murdered. He is given a second chance with some futuristic technology. He goes for his revenge and the movie goes from there. I would watch it over and over again

I bought this movie because it looked like a decent enough action movie. Mindless, beat em up stuff. But this movie was that and so much more. Maybe it's because I had no real expectations for this film but it turned out to be great. The ending caught me way off guard but it set up a twist I somewhat predicted but not entirely. I love under the radar movies that turn out to be awesome. This is definitely one of them

We really loved this movie in the theatre and thought it would be good to own. We were not disappointed. We love it just as much on Blu-Ray. I think this movie was underrated when it came out but it truly delivers a fun story and fantastic acting! Highly recommend!

This film plays out like a better version of Venom. Instead of a symbiote, it's a nanotech robot. The movie rating matches the violence in this film. Venom is a film that should have been rated R but was too concerned with keeping up with big brother MCU.

I really loved this movie in theatres, enough that I bought it on bluray. It's a beautiful movie and has some really great sequences. The story is a little cheesy but I think that's what made it especially good coupled with the over the top action.

Nice combination of sci-fi and action. The script was easy to follow, the acting good, and the quality of the special effects were definitely on par with higher budgeted films. A very entertaining and satisfying story and ending.

As this movie seem to have less recognition I had a blast seeing this action film as it feels like a John wick Vive that turns things upside-down for one major twist This film is highly amazing and is worth giving a watch.

I am not saying that Upgrade is a horrible movie, so much as it just isn't all that great. It could have been far better had it been a bit more like "LockOut" and not taken itself too seriously, but instead it tried to play itself up as a serious sci-fi action flick, on a shoestring budget. Audio and video are both 'serviceable', but the acting, and the story fails to raise above that of the average SyFy made for television movie ...but without the tongue-in-cheek 'fun factor' that one would see in the likes of Sharknado. If you can overlook the many flaws, buy this movie, but shop around so you do not pay full price.

Dont Sleep On This One! Upgrade is a great movie that didn't get a lot of promotion, so its understood if it's not widely heard of, but nonetheless it's a great movie. one of the few underdogs of 2018, this was fantastic.

Everybody knows about the low budget, but to craft such a great sci-fi film that is a lot of fun in a dark futuristic dystopian setting is quite the accomplishment. It's one of the best movies of 2018.

Being a Science Fiction fan, Upgrade satisfied me. Was not expecting the ending. Blu-ray quality very good. Didn't check to see if there's any extras. I watched the movie then put it on my movie shelf.

Terrific little B-movie with great action, surprising plot twists and a simple but intriguing premise. The Bluray looks and sounds great but I'm docking it one star due to the complete lack of extras.

Plays like a coked up, hard-R distant cousin to Minority Report. It's colorful, slickly choreographed, darkly hilarious, and a prime example of why automating everything will be THE END OF US ALL.

Upgrade is a futuristic film dealing with enhanced humans and self driving cars. It has good action sequences it's like Terminator and Venom mashed together. The ending will have you like wow!

What a surprise Upgrade was. I went in totally blind, not knowing what I was getting myself into. After the movie, I would say this is one of the top 5 best movies of 2018. Great action.

I heard a lot of good reviews about this movie and it did not disappoint. It is a mix of genres including sci-fi, action, and even a little horror. I really enjoyed this movie.
