made by the same guy that made Slain, this game takes the 2D side scroller to the next level. I was always more of a shoot-em-up fan as a kid than a hack-n-slash, so i was very excited when this game was released, and had to get the physical of course. you have access to a multitude of dif weapons, from 3 dif categories: primary (gun), secondary(sword) and heavy (rattlin gun, missle barrage etc) and can upgrade each one a few times as well. the game will test your abilities but as someone who wasnt the BEST at harder side scrollers back in the day, I havent had too much trouble getting through the bosses. level design is amazing, soundtrack is awesome! as Im a metal fan and this has a metal soundtrack, graphics are nostalgic. there are also secret areas in the game , as you have to aquire things to upgrade your weapons, and the majority of these things are in hidden locations. i didnt realise that at first, so Im far enough into the game with very minor upgrades that Im going to finish it with what i have, but i will be doing another run throuhh to find all the secret areas. highly recommended

Great game, very nice gameplay, reminds me Contra. Great graphics and great sound. I little bit hard to play but it's good.

Game is really fun and music is amazing & compliments the game play. If you liked the contra series on NES & Contra III The Alien Wars on SNES then this game is for you. You wont be disappointed.

After completing the game, it's safe to say this is one of the best shooters I've ever played. Often difficult and occasionally frustrating, this game does not hold your hand and keeps the action intense and violent. This is worth every penny. FYI, it is not a Metroidvania nor is it a rogue-like. It's a straight up action shooter, and an excellent one to boot.

It has great metal music, great weapons, and is action packed. This is a very fun side scroller.

Valfaris for the Nintendo Switch is a fun shooter that reminds me of the old school Contra style games. Nintendo had some of the best classic shooters to experience back in the day and is perfect tradition to play on Nintendo. I recommend picking this one up if you grew up playing the classic shooters of the 80's and 90's on Nintendo.

The guys that did SLAIN BACK FROM HELL have made another fantastic game. This is the HEAVY METAL version of a contra game. The best part is the boss battles in this game. Lots of trial and error.

This game is reminiscent of old school shooters. What characterizes this game the most is it's heavy metal music. It amps up the game play and just makes everything that more intense.
