Was a while before I noticed this one, played through the first valkyria chronicles back on the ps3 and enjoyed it. VC 4 is a lot like the first, my favorite part of this game and really the series outside of its excellent strategy game play is the gorgeous graphics engine. I love the rush towards photo realism in many modern games but when something comes along with a unique look like this game its always a nice change of pace. Give VC 4 a chance if you like strategy games.

Very similar to VC1 and that is not a bad thing at all. Great strategy game that has some noticeable difficulty spikes.

After the 2nd and 3rd games were portable only, with #3 not even leaving Japan, it seemed unlikely that the series would continue. Thankfully, Sega has gracefully put the series back on consoles, and we have received it. This is much more in the vein of the 1st game, with a story about soldiers in a time of war in an alternate universe compared to the 2nd games more anime-like approach. Highly recommend!

Great sequel and amazing SRPG title. Highly addictive

Lots of character development; lots of strategy-wrought combat; lots of quality voice-acting. Great game.

This entry in the series is a fantastic return to from of the original after some not-so-great entries.

This game really does have a good looking art style. Its one of the 2 reasons I picked up this game. The other is how the original and remaster of the original game is put in high regard by part of the gaming community. The game should get higher score since the game works flawlessly, looks good, and has a decent story. However it is my review and I am someone who don't usually play tactics and strategy games because the gameplay is slow and long it is an average experience for me.

VC4 takes the great formula of VC1 and tweaks it to make an even better gameplay experience!

Similar to the original, this genre-bending game has picked up where the first left off

This is a good strategy rpg. It is not a hard game but it sure is a challenging one.

Was looking for a battle strategy game and this had good reviews. I was reluctant when cover had an anime illustration. The game designers cannot seem to make up there mind if this game is for children or adults. You have comic anime illustration, cheesy dialog with occasional profanity just to get a T rating. The worst thing is that I just want to get to the battles and have to endure boring 8 year old chit chat first with a dialog box that is painfully boring. the actually game battles design are not bad.

Try it. Art style is pretty amazing as well as the gameplay.

This game is keen on strategy and move based tactics. Really good to play with someone or against each other; it's more of a chess match than anything else.

It's a return back to the classic gameplay which is great if you like turn base games.
