Do not buy this if you expect turn base strategy like VC. This is a sequel set in the same world. Fun combat...way too many cutscenes. I just skip them to get to the battles. Pretty cool character and weapon progression, decent graphics. Budget priced. Soundtrack is godly.

Forget everything you know about the Valkyria series. This is a reboot and it has nothing in common with the other games, save for some thematic influences. This is a strict ARPG with only minimal strategy elements, and the squad-based action that goes on is akin to the character switching you see in games like Dynasty Warriors 8 or some such. It's fun, but mindless and repetitive. You go around large scale battle scenes fighting off grunt enemies until a boss appears, and that's pretty much it. There's some rescue missions and huge super-boss scenes, but it's basically Dynasty Warriors: Valkyria. If you like hack n' slash with some minimal strategic and ARPG elements, look no further.

Very nice visuals throughout this game. Overall, not bad, but story is somewhat weak.

This game is much different than the other games in the series. They revamped the controls and gameplay quite a bit, but if you are a fan of Valkyria as a series you gotta play it. Also this version comes with a very cool pin as a nice extra.

The game might have gotten flak but it is a spinoff. I bought this game on clearance and it's a good pick up. I dont regret my purchase. I would get it since it's on sale.

This spin-off of the Valkyria Chronicles franchise is not the same game. The playstyle is more hack'n'slash action oriented than the tactical, squad-based gameplay of the core games. Although it takes place in the same world as the Chronicles' series, this game is extremely repetitive and lackluster. If you're a fan, you might find some of the story elements interesting, but outside of that, you should not enter the fray with this title. The pin that comes with this edition is pretty nice though!

It is a good RPG game. Out from the normal Valkyria more strategy games, this one indeed Excel the rest. But still, it doesn't go above the greatness of better RPG games for PS4 like: Persona 5, Ni No Kuni 2 or Final Fantasy 15.

Great game to add to the Valkyria Chronicle series. Story though to me is more intense in this title. Controls take a little bit to get the hang to but a blast to play worth the price.

Gameplay is fun but i hate the vita feel of the game. Controls feel kinda underwhelming since it was made for the vita and optimized for the 4.

Gameplay of this game is nothing like the previous one, but it has unique challenges in its own way as an RPG game. Fans of this series would like it because it has the same characters.

Revolution does not follow the same turn based style combat as Valkyria Chronicles 4 but instead has more of a real time combat design. The story an characters are interesting.

Valkyria Revolution is a decent game. It's nothing really comparable to the past titles but decent on its own. At it's current price, $10 value, it's worth getting and trying for yourself.

Good story and characters with an interesting battle system. It is fairly different from the original games but it is pretty easy to get used to.

I have so far really enjoyed the game its different than Valkyria chronicles in that its more action rpg but the art is great and so is the story

Another solid installment in the Valkyria series. Great art. Great soundtrack. Great gameplay. Definitely worth picking up at the pricepoint.

A new battle system that plays more like an action RPG than a turn based system like the previous game. Very fun to play and good mechanics make it a game worth playing.

Vivid graphics and interesting story line inside the game. It's the first time I've played one from this series and it was pretty fun.

its not classic vchronicles but its a different interesting approach if u want classic the i recommend vchronicles 4 but over all fun game to try out
