When I pre-ordered this movie, I was unaware, at first, that it would include a digital copy as well. This was the 2nd movie that I added to my digital collection.

Upon first glance at this film your first question might be, "where is Spider-Man"? After getting over the comic inaccuracies hurdle you can actually enjoy this film which actually has a great dynamic between Venom & Eddie Brock. A film that looks like it could have been filmed in the 90's during the emergence of comic movies has some genuine heart felt moments as well as some good comedy thrown in. I guess it could have been a R rated movie due the nature that most expect from Venom's source material but the movie did not really feel like it would have benefited from gallons of blood and gore to get its point across anymore than it accomplishes here. As far as the 4k master itself, it is what you would expect from a Sony produced film. For a movie that has a lot of black in it due to either a lot of night scenes or the character of Venom itself manages to excel in splitting Venom apart from the dark background and not loose any details. Audio is also top notch for a 5.1 set up. Extra material is minimal but that is becoming the new trend for releases these days anyway. Don't go into this film expecting the next "Dark Knight" or for it to stick close to it's source material. CGI also looked a little rushed at certain points and Tom Hardy's performance is a little inconsistent at times. But if you just want a leave-your-brain-at-the-door movie you will enjoy it for what it is.

Ok, I'm a huge Tom Hardy fan so I love all his films. This film is particularly great because (1) TH has never played a superhero/villain before & does it so well (2) creature looks really cool and sexy (3) lots of action and special effects. Didn't get great reviews from critics but I think you will find it very enjoyable and entertaining. Can't wait for the next one.

Venom is my favorite Spider-Man villain and I want sure how it would work. I was pleasantly surprised by an examination of the character not animated by hatred of Spider-Man. Loosely adapted from the Lethal Protector arc, there are some fun Venom callbacks and some great action sequences. On the whole a fun anti-hero ride.

If you are looking for a Marvel movie that holds true to the comics, this is not for you. Watching this was a gut punch to the Venom comic book. I personally grew up reading the Spiderman and Venom comic books and I found myself criticizing the storyline. For those who don't know the background of Venom and really don't care, then this movie will be an interesting action movie with some humorous one liners. Overall this movie did not meet my expectations, but one can still be somewhat entertained with this, as long as you don't question the story. There is enough action to keep your attention.

Venom offers a fun and different take on the superhero genre of film. It’s different than what we’ve been getting on the big screen and to some that’ll be a fresh of breath air and to others they’ll dislike it. Give it a watch and decide for yourself

Although this movie had some minor plot problems, I definitely enjoyed this movie overall and decided to purchase it to add to my ever-growing Marvel collection! Steelcase artwork is amazing!

Loosely based off Lethal Protector and various other Venom stories over the years, this does a solid job of introducing the character and bringing it to the mainstream movies.

I enjoyed this movie some might not enjoy but there are so many versions of spider-man to tie them all-together would be a true challenge. Just enjoy for what it is.

The movie was better than people were making it out to be. The fact you got a free 4k digital code with the steelbook makes it a even better deal in case you are a collector and don't want to open said steelbook

The Banter and relationship between Eddie Broc and Venom is the best. Awesome special effects along with some great action. They've already greenlit a sequel.

Awesome movie. Very action packed and funny at times. When I pre-ordered the movie I immediately got a link to the digital copy and was able to watch before the Blu-ray was even released.

I ended up watching the movie before the blu-ray came in, so that was nice. The movie is better than I was expecting. Not great, but not bad.

Had to go through some hoops to get digital copy applied with customer support. Customer support was excellent however as well as movie.

Venom was action packed, there was a few slow spots but over all it was a good movie kept me very interested through out the movie.

I got this for free when pre-ordering the 4k steelbook. Had no problems activating the code and getting the movie and was able to watch it a week before picking up my copy.

Got the free download for preordering the steelbox set. Was able to watch the movie before I go the dvd. Movie is okay.

Venom was a decent movie. A lot of people had issue with it but I think it was a good start of a franchise.
