These VHS-DVD converters came a long way. I purchased one for about $350 2+ years ago and it didn't work nearly as easily and as quickly as this one. Great instruction, easy to use and reasonably priced ($39) ... recommended

I had old vhs tapes of special birthdays dating at least 19 and 24 years respectfully and wanted to convert the priceless images to DVD. This hardware and software did exactly what it was supposed to do and converted my special memories to DVD for my family and friends to enjoy. I'm so thankful for this product. Easy set up and directions.

My wife wanted this to preserve some old video. After installation she went right to work with it. It has a beginners mode that tells you step by step what to do and then does the rest on it's own. She has used up all the DVD-R discs in the house and is demanding more.

Performed about as well as I expected. Easy to set up, just plug in the supplied cables and load the software. I am currently transferring many of my old VHS tapes to DVD.

After receiving this product, I gave it a try and found it to be very easy to transfer my VHS tapes to DVD. I tried the completed disk on several different DVD players and it played on all that I tried. I am very happy with it and now I can reduce my storage space and feel confident that my movies will last a long time.

The software made is very easy to convert old mini dv tapes I had to a file on the computer or to save to dvd.

I wanted to transfer some old family videos from VHS to my computer and this software/hardware worked perfectly. I had it installed and working in minutes. I stored the videos as mpg files but the software will also burn directly to dvd. There's a handy preview screen so you can watch your video on your computer and set to record and stop wherever you want. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Got this to convert old VHS tapes. It worked great. Software allowed us to transfer old video recordings from our video camera to digital format which was a bonus.

Not sure exactly how but is seems to work. Transferred a box of VHS home video and two dvd's to my computer.

Great product easy use. Even my 11-year-old son is using that loves it. I would recommend this for anybody with experience are no experience in video editing.

This is a safe, low-cost and effective way to get video to your computer for capture! Even though I didn't use the software, this box connected with Sony Vegas and I was able to do some memory gathering and documenting my childhood with video files thanks to this small box!

Being a DJ and a video buff I always look for a program that would be easy to use and have lot's of options. This is one that meets all of that and more. It is easy to download videos and edit them. Very much worth the money.

This is a great tool for transferring vhs or Hi8 to dvd. This is what I bought it for and it works great. There are better editing programs.
