Love the phone perfect for my Needs and what I was looking for

The phone has nice features. Although rebooting the phone is sometimes a bit of a problem. The phone does tend to lag when trying to acess main screen.

This phone has the potential to be a great phone if it wasn't so buggy. Hopefully there will a fix coming son. I had the same issues with the 2016 Perx until it was fixed through updates.

This phone is cheaply made and overpriced. More often than not I have to restart it to get it to work. I also have to optimise it daily. It sometimes freaks out and opens and closes pages while I'm browsing & drops calls and won't make them. The Geeks didn't know what the problem was and told me it's under warranty, but Samsung said I'd have to wait 2 weeks to get a new one. I'd rather deal with it crapping out here and there than go without a phone (I don't have a landline). I wish I had the insurance so Best Buy could replace it.

While the price is right for a smart phone, mine is loaded with something causing way too many pop up ads. They are very intrusive and annoying.

Cell phones alright alot of freezes and long application load times

This phone is really slow and locks up a lot i will not buy a J again

This phone was good for a couple of months. After that it slowly started freezing up and then shutting itself off. Even though it is not a top Samsung device I still don’t expect it to be disposable so quickly.

I purchased the phone from Best Buy. They were extremely busy when I came in. After talking to the sales rep we settled in on the Galaxy. We couldn't get my pictures to transfer. Didn't have the drive updated on the phone. After trying the entire evening to get the phone working properly and everything needed downloaded- it was slower than my previous phone with about the same amount of memory.

GREAT battery life. Impressive graphics. Easy to use! After much research, I decided to upgrade to this from a long line of LG phone use, (last one being a Tribute 2), which I thought were good, until now! I can't believe how long the battery lasts. My old phone was almost dead near the day's end, Mon thru Fri. (It serves as a work phone and personal phone). This one isn't even close to 60% by the end of day. Usually around 70%. VERY HAPPY!! And Best Buy was awesome transferring EVERYTHING from my old phone to my new. (over 1,000 contacts). And to my surprise, all of my text messages!! I mostly use my phone for email, texting and phone calls. But internet searching is great. And I do take some pictures. Not really games.

When it comes to prepaid carriers, Virgin Mobile is the very best without question. I've tried all the other prepaid carriers and I've been sadly disappointed with a great phone that loses its full potential because of the carrier service. VM not only offers the most secure service, but UNLIMITED means UNLIMTED data. The service is steady. The options are great. What VM says you'll get, is guaranteed. Take the above info into consideration while shopping around. It's also very easy to find Virgin Mobile Top Up cards just about everywhere. VM does have a help desk if you ever need it. There's many options that other prepaid carriers simply does not have. The Samsung Galaxy J7 PERX on Virgin Mobile is a remarkable prepaid / phone bundle for which you will be amazed and not disappointed. The included apps such as memo, virus protect, easy top up and direct features are widely missed on other prepaid carriers. The phone itself operates quickly. The screen is vibrant and colorful. Apps and games function smoothly without hesitancy. Phone calls operate clearly. On the downside, I wish it were easy to find cases for this phone as I tend to drop mine often while traveling. I also wish I could easily find these phones at more retailers and or more readily available. VIRGIN MOBILE IS THE VERY BEST WITHOUT QUESTION. Simply, I refuse to go back to any of the other prepaid carriers. And I also refuse to carry one of the high level expansive smartphones with me while traveling under certain conditions. But honestly, this phone performs really well, so much, you'll not notice much of a diffrence.

I've not owned a Samsung phone since the Galaxy S3, but I feel as if over time they only started building cheaply built phones. If you're not paying hundreds of dollars for the latest and greatest, then you can KIND of feel like you got a nice Samsung phone with this $150-ish one, but be prepared that it may or may not be able to handle every day usage. The following started happening one month into everyday use of the Perx. - SIM Card randomly failing to detect. I've had to go into the system itself to fix this problem. I shouldn't have to even had to go THAT far. - Constant failure to detect SD card. It says its there, then its not, then its removed, then its fixed, then its gone again. The notifications are non-stop. - The phone has gotten slower and slower. Menus now take forever to load. Waking it up even after having it gone to sleep for 1 second in your hand takes around 2-3 seconds to wake back up. Factory resetting did nothing. I have nothing more on this phone than I did my older HTC VM phone. If the specs on this one was supposed to be better than why is it starting to feel like my old phone? It feels like a sturdy phone and it was nice for the first several weeks. But truth be told that if it cannot handle every day use or random failures one month in then I probably was better off buying something else.

Constant slow response to open apps. Shuts down Apps while your receiving incoming notifications and then either never reopens or takes several minutes to start App back up. My old LG-X took one too many falls on the concrete, so I thought Samsung is a "good name", so why not try it? Big mistake! I downloaded all updates, and tried everything to get this junk working - No go! Its going in the garbage can if I can not get any money back for credit on another brand phone. No, its not "I got what I paid for". Old phone was a $79 LG-X and it was awesome compared to this crap.

I bought this cell phone and it was locked and it couldn't be activated with Virgin. They send me a replacement that had exactly the same problem. Then they directed me to a store but I was told at the store that they could not help with the activation. I can't believe such a high level of carelessness and incompetence.
