    The app, which is essential to "cast", doesn't work. The TV isn't compatible with xfinity's X1 controller, so you have to keep the Vizio little remote handy to power it on and off. The picture is good, but not great, and there are pre-set options for color, balance, contrast, etc so you can't play around to get a better picture. Honestly, I love Vizio products, but this one is a real let down.

    This was a great tv. I bought it out of the box for 345 dollars and it was a steal. The picture quality is phenomenal, sound quality is great. Cable television, movies, and video games (for PS4 at least) are all great.

    First off this isn't your OLED samsung or LG.. Its a vizio.. No apps, no frills, but for a bedroom TV, pair it up with a good sound bar and video game system like an xbox one s or like i did with the nvidea shield.. your good, have fun with color settings.. it's a pain but worth it once you get it calibrated correctly.

    Less than 48hr and I've been witnessing the complaints being posted in the reviews. TV has pretty nice default picture but you need the smart cast app to make necessary changes to settings...which never works. Only way to get into the actual TV settings is through the app and even the reviews in both Android + able stores are bad. 3 different phones couldn't connect. The sound isn't the loudest and sounds distorted (prolly could change in settings if I could get there). And on top of that, the sound stops working randomly. Hasn't even been 48 hr and already happened 3x. Not going to keep TV when I'm seeing customers going through same issues.

    I am using this as a monitor, sitting about 2 ft from the screen. The resolution is fine but there are two serious deficiencies. Black letters on a white page are grey, the smaller the lighter. Also, from 2ft, parts of the screen are seen at angles decreasing brightness. I still prefer this to the 24-in monitor it replaces but there is a reason a large monitor costs more than this tv.

    Experienced hardware problems after 30 days

    After the Best Buy return period ended I started experiencing issues with the right half of the TV screen going all gray and fuzzy. Since the 15 day return period was over I was told I had to go through Vizio warranty support. Vizio determined that the TV had a hardware issue and needed to be replaced. Since they did not have any M43's in the warehouse, they would only ship me a D series? The TV has hardware issues shortly after after 30 days and they offer an entry level model as a replacement, or a refund? I took the refund and will purchase a new TV, which will NOT be a Vizio!

    2 Months later, the screen is going black. Switched to another HDMI port and seems OK for now.. Geeksquad arriving in 4 days. Also.. Smartphone app for a remote? This sucks so bad. App loses connection to the TV often. I've had to re-link the TV to the app at least 12 times in 2 months.

    Good set when it works but huge display problem

    Bought this tv and was very excited about the display and smartcast features. It worked well enough on my regular PS4 but when I switched to a brand new PS4 pro is when the problems began. During gameplay the tv goes completely black for up to 10 seconds before returning back to normal. In a few instances, the tv has gone into static noise with no display at all. The only thing I could do in those instances was to turn the tv off and then on. I scoured the Vizio app menu and found a color subsampling option that I could turn on with HDMI 1 and this enabled an option to pick between YUV40 and RGB mode, both of which I have tried. At this point I've tried multiple HDMI cables, all 4 HDMI outputs and can't seem to figure out why the screen goes black. Only happens with the PS4 Pro, my cable box does not cause this TV issue which tells me its a problem between the PS4 Pro's signal and the tv. Does anyone know of a work around? Extremely frustrated!

    Despite the need for an app on my ipad/iphone to use with the tv, this television is beautiful, works wonderfully with the smartcast on the streaming services we have, and is like having a theater screen right in my living room. I highly recommend it.

    Too Hard to Use

    This TV is just too hard to use. Chromcast is ridiculous. The picture is horrible. You can see the line of LED lights through the screen. It gets distorted very quickly from angle views. The remote is pointless since you have to download everything on your smartphone to even use the TV. You have to use your smartphone to even be able to use Netflix or Hulu or Vudu. Save your money, and buy an actual Samrt TV. I'm exchanging it today.

    Quality and Service Concerns

    I purchased this TV in December from a Best Buy since it was on sale. Within a couple of days we noticed that the picture on the TV had a significant green tint, which distorted the color on the left side of the screen. I called Vizio customer service, went through several setting changes on the TV and then finally sent a picture of the TV to them to show the problem. They indicated that it was a color contouring defect. They said they would ship me a new one for in-home replacement within no more than ten business days. Twelve business days later I received a call from Vizio’s contractor that it arrived and they scheduled an appointment. Upon powering up the first replacement TV in my home during installation, the contractor noticed a horizontal line across the screen. He called Vizio to alert them of the defect. I called Vizio that night to inquire of the status and they had no record of the visit by the contactor. Four days and three calls later, Vizio agreed to ship a second replacement TV to me. Two weeks later, the contractor called me to say that he received the TV but the internal components were cracked and looked like it was due to temperature changes prior to shipment. I called Vizio and asked for my money back and was told they would review my request and, if approved, it would take 4-6 weeks to receive the refund. I hope this information is helpful for anyone who is considering the purchase of a new Vizio TV. Quite an unsatisfactory experience that is still not resolved.

    Epic Failure

    Have to use your phone or tablet as a remote. Took over 2 hours to set up. I watched ONE (1) movie on Netflix, lost my connection and couldn't get it back. I unplugged it packed it up and taking it back this morning. It made less than 12 hours in my home. Had trouble connecting to the internet to start with. It was completely an epic failure. Just give me a remote. It does have a nice picture.

    Shattered Screens

    Bought this TV, screen was shattered. Next day returned it no problem. Got home, opened the box, screen was shattered. My wife is at the store right now asking for a refund and they will not give it to her because the TV is damaged. No kidding it was damaged, I received it that way. They said they would work with her on price for a comparable TV for the same price or one for a little more. Offering $50 off of a TV that is $200 more. So basically I can pay more for a different TV that's a little better or they are forcing me to get the same TV which I've exchanged twice already. I can get a different TV that's the same price but for me this is the best one for the price. I don't call that working with her for our inconvenience. I would be more than happy to exchange it a third time if they took a little off the price for the hassle but they aren't even willing to do that.

    Terrible Motion Blur

    An electrical surge took out a Vizio TV I had so the brand was already high on my list. This E class display looked good enough in-store and colors were not bad but the disappointment began when I started watching a NASCAR race. The motion blur in the picture was terrible and long shots were quite grainy. Stay away from this model if you watch anything with action. I returned the E class model and bought a Vizio D50u which I love so far. I am shocked that Vizio would release a product with such poor display performance.

    Disappointed

    This is my third Vizio purchase, which I felt very confident in. My first was in 2007, and second in 2015 and now. Set up was nice but there was product confusion between the Internet labeling this a 2160p, yet the box and manual are labeled as 1080p (customer service cleared the mislabeling as a warehouse/upgrade/labeling issue). I shouldn't have to download extra apps in an already full phone/tablet etc and open them up to stream. I should be able to select them directly with the TV remote or the App. I strongly dislike that the app groups all videos together (no way to tell which app they come from unless you open it up), most were through VUDU which I do not want to subscribe to. I upgraded from a Roku TV, which I thought was awful, but this takes the cake.
