I really like writing good reviews, but unfortunately, I cannot do that here. I purchased this TV hoping for that crystal clear, vivid picture I thought was standard for the 4K tv's out there. Boy was I wrong. Nothing I did made the picture any better. I sadly had to box the TV back up and return it. I then purchased a Samsung 50" 4K TV for $100 more and I'm so glad I did. True, I have a smaller screen, but it's so beautiful! This is so much more what I had expected. I do not recommend anyone purchasing this Vizio 55" tv. Unless you're expectations for a good picture are lower than mine, then maybe, but otherwise, no.

Picture quality is good and sound is alright. Unfortunately the tv is almost unusable without a smartphone or tablet. Then the app requires you to give it access to both your location and contacts. The app is terrible pushing ads. They must be getting kickbacks from Hulu. Also there is no way to hook up an antenna because they cheaped out on a coaxial cable hookup. DO NOT BUY!

The VIZIO SmartCast Application allows any compatible iOS or Android device to control SmartCast Displays and Sound Bars. The application will prompt users to create an account so that their watch lists and favorite shows can be stored in the SmartCast Application if it’s being used across multiple phones and tablets. The login information is stored in the Account Manager. The Account Manager permissions are part of the Contacts permission group and necessary to correctly store your SmartCast account. The SmartCast application will never read your contacts list unless prompted by you. This home theater display doesn’t include a coaxial port (Tuner) for over the air antennas, but is compatible with external tuners that have an HDMI output. Additionally it is compatible with any satellite/cable set top box that has an HDMI or Component output.

This is by far the worst electronic device I have ever purchased and I purchased many. Vizio did a horrible job replacing it when it just stopped connecting to the internet. The picture quality is extremely lower than my former 1080p HDTV. Blurry and milky. We love DVDs but have not enjoyed one movie with good picture quality. Now will have to buy a new 4k tv

I've had this since December 2015 and today it stopped working. I've had a Samsung 1080P since 2008 and it still works. This is the first TV to ever die on me. I would not recommend it and chances are it's probably discontinued now. Good

Now is the perfect time for a review. I've had it for 5 yrs and it stopped working out of nowhere! It looks brand new and I hardly use it. :(
