WOW!!! WHAT A TV!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am, along with my family, blown away with the picture from this TV. Settings require some minor tweaking, best picture comes from "Calibrated" picture mode. The UHD up-scaling is great on HDMI inputs 1-4, which until 4K UHD is more widely broadcasted, everyone will benefit from the upscaling. 4K picture is UNREAL almost as if you are seeing it better than in real life. For the price and size of the TV, you couldn't spend any wiser. Very happy with my VIZIO D55U-D1!! Just an FYI, as with most flat panel TV's the audio isn't as good as the audio a sound bar provides, I paired this TV with a VIZIO sound bar and turned off the TV speakers through the settings to get the best sound possible.

I like this TV.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like my Vizio 55 inch smart tv. It has good color quality and sound. (Though, like for most hdtvs, a sound bar would make the sound flawless.) I would have given it 5 stars if it had a web browser and HBO go. Unfortunately, it has neither of those. It fits my living room nicely without being overpowering and it was on sale for 699 when I purchased it in store. I have a smaller 37in Vizio HDTV in my room and the brand hasn't let me down yet.

At $699.00 It's A Steal..
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let's Clear Some Things Up.. This is NOT a "Black Friday" T.V... The D-Series has a refresh rate of "120Hz" NOT "60Hz".. And when compared to the M-Series, Speakers are 5watts less.. There is no local dimming.. No Wi-Fi.. and contrast ratio is 4x higher on the M-Series.. if that's worth an extra $150.00 - $200.00 go for the M-Series. But.. You'll be missing out on One Hellva T.V.. Those reviews that said the picture "Sucks" simply don't know how to adjust the unit.. Just change the picture mode to "Calibrate" and fine tune the color, dimming and contrast to your personal liking.. Done. The pic I've uploaded was a1080i resolution shot I took with just my cell phone sitting about 10 feet away and does not even begin to show the set's true clarity in person.. Great Price.. Great 4K Set.. Now it's sit back and wait for " 4K Content" to become main stream.. :-)

your employees made it right.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great 4k for the price! Brought one home, set it up and found the programing on the WiFi card to be faulty. Vizio said three weeks for an appointment for the repair after they sent me jumping through hoops ( turn it off then on then sideways..ect) Called the store and the Geek told me to bring it in. When I did ,the associate that sold me the TV met me at the door, carried the old one in, had the replacement already pulled from the warehouse and the paperwork ready. It took less time to exchange then it took to buy it in the first place! He then put the new TV in my car and apologized. It is rare to see this level of service in any setting , let alone big box stores. TV works great and has a beautiful picture but the personal service made the TV worth twice the price

Happy I waited
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Every month or so I'd go into Best Buy's TV section and look at the deals to see if something was worth upgrading to. I had an Insignia that I had purchased as my main TV and I was not super happy with it. I knew I'd be happier with a new TV but even knowing that I've been blown away with the new Vizio. The picture was beautiful with just a little bit of adjustment. Sports, Bluray movies, and video games are crystal clear and crisp. I find myself paying more attention to what I'm watching and watching more movies than before and that's even after I've had it for a while it still makes me very happy. Set up was a breeze and the internet tv apps are quick and user friendly. Couldn't ask for more.

I finally upgraded!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally got rid of my 20-year old box tv that weighed about 50 pounds. I am so pleased with my new television. It took a while to get adjustments right with the picture for movies and such, each one seems to need a slight difference. However, I got a great deal online with Black Friday and picked up in-store the next day. I would recommend this to anyone! No problems with un-boxing and set-up was a dream...just don't try to do it by yourself. Have a buddy help!

Q: QuestionDoes anyone have any thoughts or reviews for this?I can't find any information on it so I was hoping maybe someone here had some thoughts.
Asked by Phenom.
- A:Answer I have this tv and it is terrific. 5-6 different preset picture options. No reason to fiddle with settings. Picture depth, color and ability to handle motion is unmatched. You need a sound bar to enjoy the audio. I bought a Vizio, so one remote runs both. Suggestion, Buy the 2.1 sound bar. The mid range speaker is worth every penny. So if you want to spend the money, get a 2160 ( might as well stay ahead of the tech curve), and enjoy it. Set up took 5 minutes. The tv tells you what to do.

Q: QuestionPicture Quality? How is the picture qualiy of this D-Series TV vs. the M Series? I read that the D-Series unit has 14 LED panels vs. the M Series that has 32 LED panels. Does that translate into a significant difference in actual picture quality?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yep. Much better color saturation, scaling, blacks, and motions. Skip the D and E series. These are the highly "discounted" units to get people to buy bigger tv's. They are even successfully selling D model 4k 55,65, and 70 tvs with a lousy 120hz refresh rate. With a tv that size and supposed 4k resolution you need a minimum of 240hz refresh rate to minimize the blurring with any motion on the screen. So, um... yep. Stick with the M-series. Pay the $200 or so extra. This way you won't be trying to buy a new TV again in 3 years. They are doing with TV's what they have done with our phones, tablets, laptops, and computers. Keeping us buying the newest "greatest" product every 6-24 months.
