it is a good computer monitor.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i use this as a computer monitor. i almost decided to return it because it was too big for a pc monitor. also the casting is a bit of a pain. it works good and once you get use to it is a great MONITOR. the casting app sucks and you have to use it to cast. no third party casting software.

A great TV for the price! But know this...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical to purchase a Vizio product but I must say this is a GREAT TV for the price. Picture is very clear. Cons to be aware of: It lost a star for two reasons. The first is the audio. I'm not an audio junkie by any means but this TV does not have the greatest sound. Especially if you mount it on the wall, your going to get muffled sound. With this TV, a sound system or sound bar is almost required. The second reason was the setup of the actual TV itself. I am all for smart devices and controlling things with my phone. Understand if you buy this TV, you HAVE TO download the Vizio app to set it up and start using it. There is no way around it. So if you don't have a smart phone or in home wifi, you actually will not be able to use this product and you'll be stuck with a headache of a return. Overall it's a great TV for the money and for most it's a great choice. But it's not the best gift for Grandma who doesn't have a smartphone.

Unbeatable price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. I found this to be a great value for the quality and features of the TV. Pretty basic 4K TV, no big bells and whistles but that's what I wanted. Picture is great and was easily integrated into my Harmony remote. Casting to the TV is simple with the GoogleCast built-in the TV.

Very nice picture quality . . . one small caveat
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good quality picture for the price. Built in speakers provide adequate sound even in a relatively large space. Built in Wi-Fi and ability to control the tv with an app is a plus (but, as a trade-off, the included remote is relatively functional, but small and skimpy). One thing to keep in mind, though, this series of Vizios is "tuner free" meaning it DOES NOT include built-in ATSC TV tuners. Not a problem if you are using cable or satellite with a set-top box, but if you use an over the air antenna to get local stations, you will need to buy a separate tuner adapter in order to connect your antenna to this set.

60" Vizio HD
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had been shopping for some time for a large TV. I found this one and really liked the look, the simplicity, and the nice price. The picture quality is excellent, sound is not bad but I also have it hooked up to a stereo which is even better. It doesn't have all the confusing apps that a lot of TV's have now a days. You select your input and watch tv. I also use a Xbox one on this and it so awesome. The only down side is the remote has very little basic functions. If you want to play with sleep timers and other advanced settings you have to download the vizio app and off you go.

Beautiful picture!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is fantastic. The only drawbacks are that I am having some compatibility issues with my Samsung 4K dvd player. It wants to take control of the display and the soundbar when it is turned off and I have to reset them. It took a minute to set up the app on my tablet. I highly recommend having Geek Squad set everything up if you are connecting several items like mine. I got it all hooked up ok but still had to call them out to fix something but the compatibility issue is still there. If there had been a VIZIO 4K player available I would have gone with it. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with my purchases.

A great UHD set at a wonderful price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this on sale - missed the Black Friday sale and would have saved more, but price was still best around. Clarity and picture contrast is comparable to the higher end Samsungs in my opinion but everyone's eyesight is different so you be the judge. Built in Chromecast works even better now with the latest update - I can have Google Home cast to it now! To really see the beauty of this set though, you need the right content - upscaling is great, but hard to tell just how good it is until you see actual 4k content. Streamed from Chromecast or my FireTV, you really get a sense of how beautiful the picture is. Had to move my FTV from the amp to the HDMI input on the TV because amp doesn't support HDCP, but it was worth it. Really like the Zoned backlighting system - it makes a big difference. The only negative may be the remote, which is pretty basic, but for my setup I hardly use it anyway as I have a Harmony Hub. I considered going to a 65" but it would have been overkill for my shallow viewing distance. I'm really happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend considering this before spending more money unless you are a real nut about spending money for the best available tech - I personally am glad I didn't spend more money on the Samsung set.

Amazing for price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was upgrading from a 10-year old 50" plasma. The picture quality on this set is remarkable. Often, I can't tell if I'm watching 4k or 1080. It does a really good job of upconverting from all sources. I have a PlayStation 4 standard and DirecTV hooked up and the picture is really good. I prefer streaming from my phone over Chromecast though because I can get 4k with Netflix. The 4k is spectacular. I only wish I had saved up for the HDR, but by the time 8k is mainstream, I'll be able to afford HDR. My only issue with this TV is the speakers. Like most newer televisions, the speakers are weak and on the back towards the wall. I also bought a Vizio sound bar with 5.1 surround sound and that makes my viewing way more enjoyable. Don't listen to negative reviews. If you're on a budget and ready to get 4k, get this set. If you have the extra money, though, spend a bit more and get the HDR on the M or P series.

Nice TV. Nice price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I'm very happy with the 60" Visio. It took some configuring of the settings to get the best possible picture, but now it looks very good. I wish it had HDR, but for the price I can't complain. The only real negative is having to use the SmartCast app to control it, I'd prefer the tv to have a regular full feature remote control. Netflix sometimes loses connection to the tv making it impossible to pause or stop a movie. This was also something I experienced using a chromecast device so it's not specific to this television.

Great "tv" for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this "tv"....i use the " " because it's technically a display...it won't play over the air channel without a tuner; if you have cable or satellite then it doesn't matter. If you have "cut the cord", all you need to do it buy a tuner, which can be found for around $30. Great value for the price;if you have trouble connecting a smart device to the tv, you may need to turn the tv off to allow it to update
