This tv looks and sounds awesome. Very easy setup and quick to get going. My major complaint is streaming app availability. We recently cut our cable and only use streaming services. I watch a lot of sports, and frequently use watchEspn app to stream to my google chromecast plugged into the tv in my room. So when we cut cable I thought this was the perfect tv for living room to cast all my apps to. Unfortunately ESPN and vizio won't work together, which makes no sense because it runs off of same platform as my Chromecast. Very frustrating I've only had this tv a week and I'm hoping I don't find more apps that aren't compatible in the future. I would recommend if you don't plan on streaming sports, although you might be better off buying a cheaper tv and then buying a $50 google chromecast stick.

I bought this TV as i wanted 4k for cheap, the TV exceeded my expectations. The only thing i thought was a little frustrating was the setup it took awhile for it to sync to my phone. But overall it is a great TV.

Wow - so bummed out on the technical approach Vizio made with this TV. I could not get the full experience of the TV due to the remote process. PLEASE KNOW - this unit comes with a BASIC snicker size remote that has an up and down volume / channel option, change input, and sync button. You need to download the Vizio Cast app which has very poor reviews across the board - as I found out. The app has tons of problems properly downloading to smartphones & tablets, so you don't get the full TV function. After 4 hours of trying, reviewing youtube videos, reading Playstore reviews, and blogs - I packaged up the TV and returned it back to BestBuy. I think the TV brand is great, but this was a fall off the mountain for Vizio.

My husband and I were unsure about the smart cast, but we love it. Once we downloaded the apps , everything went smoothly. Great picture !! I love using my phone or tablet as the remote - it's like having a really high tech remote. We are so very glad we purchased Vizio.

After reading many negative reviews about this TV, I was hesitant to buy it, but after talking to an associate I decided to give it a shot. A lot of folks have complained about the remote and having to control everything from a device. If you have half a brain you can figure it out. From opening the box, to watching TV it took maybe 10 minutes. The picture is great.

As many have said this isn't a TV due to it's lack of tuner... but who cares?! Basic television is trash, I do everything through my Playstation 4 and this display is perfect. Great picture, clear menus, and good layout for inputs etc.. Yes, Smartcast is kinda hokey, it gets the job done, but I don't need it and most folks with a decent BluRay or current gaming system should be fine without it. I love this set.

This is a great basic display. The picture quality is fantastic and all the settings you would expect are adjustable for the display. The audio settings are much more limited you can only adjust the volume not the full range of sound options. I paired it with a Vizio wireless speaker set and unfortunately cannot adjust the base independently. Which has become a bit of an issue. It also lacks the smart TV apps that would allow you to stream videos directly to it. However using a smartphone you can smartcast videos to it it just requires the smartphone to act as the intermediary. I think in the long run this may allow for more dynamic options as anything the smartphone can stream you can watch and you don't have to wait or hope the smart TV gets the app that you desire. However it is a bit of a drain on your smartphone battery to act as that intermediary. The lack of audio adjustment options is my biggest disappointment.

This is a great tv, with a good picture and sound quality. Controller is simple, for more advanced you will have to use the app on phone or tablet. Uses chromecast with ease, don't buy for the smart tv aspect. Buy because it has a lot of the latest tv tech at a great price

I purchased another brand and although it had a good picture the fast motion was unbearable. For another $150 I upgraded to the 60" Vizio e60u-D3. Although I don't care for having to use my phone to watch apps or the fact that it doesn't have a built-in tuner, the picture is incredible! I did read a review that claimed it didn't have the best refresh rate but believe me, it is non-existent in the one I brought home! I would highly recommend it as the BEST $1k Monitor. (I say monitor because my salesman didn't inform me on what I was buying, my opinion is Vizio needs to give away DVDs describing their TV's with video's on set ups of each model so the consumer can make a more educated decision before purchasing.)

Picture was great. But was unable to ever get smart features on the tv due to the lack of remote. I tried to find info online to help me but that was futile. No manual included. Very disappointed and beyond frustrated. Tv is being returned to get one with a real remote!

This was a "compatible" replacement on my 2 yr warranty. While the warranty transaction went smooth, this tv is not "compatible". You HAVE to control the tv functions and any apps you want to watch through your smart phone or tablet. However when setting up on an android tablet it would not recognize the wifi - even the guy from Best Buy couldn't get it to work. So it's set up on my phone. I don't want my phone clogged up with every app I want to "cast" to my tv - i.e. Netflix.. pandora etc. called Visio the rep said to use an old phone with wifi and set the apps on that. Geez, I just want a remote. I also dont want to scroll through Netflix on my phone when I had/have a 60" tv that I could use before the replacement. Casting to the tv seems to take much longer than pressing the Netflix tab on my old remote. Also, the connection seems to drop more. Tv does NOT have a tuner, so those without local channels will have to buy a tuner to connect to your antenna. That's $60. Will be calling Best Buy to see what my other options are.

Ive had two different regular LED tvs before purchasing this on they had a good picture with good refresh rate but this tv blows all of them out of the water, the picture is so crisp and clear and color are really viberant!

The picture on this backlit TV is amazing. This is my first Vizio but I'm loving it so far. The cast feature is very useful and cool

I loved the 43" so much I purchased the 60" two weeks later. If you understand that this is not a TV, but is a gigantic monitor in 4K, you'll love it. hook it up to HDMI, example: HDMI 1 = cable box, HDMI 2 = AppleTV, HDMI 3 = computer, then you are good to go. really enjoying "casting" my youtube from my iPad/iPhone/Laptop to the big screen. on laptop, it works with Chrome. on the iOS devices it works with most of the streaming apps i use. so for what i need - a huge 4K monitor, this is great

Brought it as an early birthday present for myself. I love the picture quality, but the sound could be better.

The TV has exceeded our expectations. We love the TV. The picture quality is outstanding.

Great TV. Just disappointed that the sales clerk didn't tell us that it did not have a built in tuner. We do not have cable or satellite so local stations are important to us. Now they want to sell us a $100 box that converts HDTV to analog then push that signal to the TV. What is the point of HDTV if it is going to get converted back to analog? I would have paid $100 more for the Samsung had I known about the tuner. I guess more disappointed in the BB staff than the TV itself.

I own a 47" Vizio 1080p that has been reliably entertaining for the better part of a decade. I also have 2 Blu ray players and a 5.1 surround sound from Vizio. All have been great, so I figured it was no brainer to go with Vizio's top of the line display for my venture into 4K. The setup wasn't too bad, but I would prefer a traditional remote since they have an app if you like the tablet interface. After a half hour of updates, I fired it up. The picture was beautiful. However, it constantly froze. Support suggest it a reboot. That worked, but only for a day or so. The next reboot didn't last that long. So, I was stuck re-boxing the TV (not fun), and debating whether to exchange or go another way. I went with a 65" LG, and I have had no regrets. I wish it had worked. It's a beautiful unit. Unfortunately, Vizio lost a customer on this one.

Great picture but interface and remote are really lacking without using a phone or tablet to control all functions. And serious issues with casting (could be Uverse WiFi related) . Overall happy considering it was only $650.

First i want to say it is a great TV by size and picture and price. The only thing i have a problem with this is, you have to use a mobile device ie, phone or tablet for every app that it says you can use on this TV. THERE NO APPS LOADED ON THIS TV! you have a basic remote for basic functions. For all other functions you have to use the VizioSmartcast app. im a guy that likes technology but not when it puts all of it in one basket ! Whatever you do just keep this in mind all of your apps on your phone have to be used to get anything from this TV.
