They don't allow the zoom / aspect ratio adjustment function on next to anything. Instead you get the message "normal is the optimal wide mode and cannot be changed". Super annoying. I bought a bigger TV because I don't like all the new ratios that were getting to small looking with the black bars for my old Vizio D48. At least that TV gave the option for anything to fill out the screen with the picture of you wanted. This thing is 4k, the picture quality will still look good zoomed! VIZIO IF YOU ARE LISTENING PLEASE SEND AN UPDATE TO ALLOW THIS FEATURE TO WORK ACROSS THE BOARD INCLUDING UHD CONTENT! I shouldn't be wishing I bought a 75 when I sit 8.5 feet from the TV when watching movies. Other than that, this TV is awesome. Great picture! Bright vivid colors and the black levels are just amazing.

Hello John, in most cases UHD content should fill the screen of your television without any adjustments needed. Sometimes this can be caused by the internal settings of your source device or connection type being used. Please reach out to our customer support at 877-878-4946 so that we can look into this behavior for you. VIZIO

I researched this TV and compared against Samsung QLED for quite a while before landing on this TV because of its inclusion of DolbyVision, which at least at the time, Samsung does not currently support or include. The price also helps, but if you watch SlickDeals you can find a great price on either if you give it some time. The colors on this thing are amazing though! The picture is incredible and the blacks are very black with no blooming. I've been buying Vizio products for a long time, but until now it had been mostly about budget, but this TV has stepped their game up in a time where I had the budget to explore other brands, I stuck with Vizio anyway!

quality picture from the television, however the experience falls short with the smartcast streaming content platform. the system lacks dedicated apps for HBO, Showtime, CNN and others. If they are there, they are very hard to find. You can easily put the TV into Airplay and Chromcast mode so that makes up for the lack of apps.

The picture and color quality of this TV puts it at the top of the list and the price moves it up an other notch. Very easy to setup and did not require any adjustments for a perfect display.

Just picked this tv up last week and the picture is gorgeous but I'm already noticing a lot of judder even in scenes without much fast motion (for example even some scenes where someone is walking or the camera pans across a scene). I guess I expected more in that regard but overall it's still a great tv. Playing with the settings seems to have helped a bit. Build quality seems excellent overall. Built in UI for streaming seems a bit slow and certain apps like HBO Now need to be streamed via casting instead of downloading an app to the tv so I ended up using a Roku for streaming. The built in Watchfree service is a good perk though, basically a free mini cable package. Overall a good purchase and most content looks incredible.

I have had this TV since Thanksgiving, and I am finally reviewing it. it is a great TV, at a great price. I was never a fan of Vizio TV's until now. The only flaw in this TV is the viewing angle it is terrible. The quality of this TV is Awesome. I don't know about the refresh rate at 240 hz, or the Motion rate at 960. Both are very good, but not any better than my 75in LG UH8500 TV, the refresh rate on that is 120hz, and the Motion rate is at 240. This is an excellent TV, though. I am the only one watching it so the terrible viewing angle does not matter very much. When you set in front the TV, the Picture is Awesome. I Love this TV.

Love the tv as my top priority is the picture quality. This tv gives such a beautiful picture and has stepped up our movie nights. I’m quite pleased with it overall. Airplay with my iPhone straight to the tv is awesome and works perfectly about 98% of the time. No real complaints there. My only problem this far is the smart apps sometimes not working properly. I’ll be able to load the app and select a movie or show, but then it won’t play properly. It’s happened in the Netflix and Disney+ apps so far. It’s not every program but the issue has gotten worse over the last couple weeks. Not a big deal overall as I have other ways to watch those apps on the tv, but definitely a tad disappointing after spending so much on a tv for it to not work to its full potential. All in all, as long as you don’t have to rely on the built-in streaming apps then this tv is really great and is pretty much exactly what I was hoping for.

Do I go for a cheaper tv with less quality picture or more expensive with better quality picture. I’ve always gone with the cheaper TVs but.. this time I went for the expensive one and I’m not disappointed in the slightest bit. Next time I’ll probably go with the cheaper tv though.

This Vizio TV has an excellent picture quality - even in plain HD and no HDR. The colors are rich and the picture is bright where it should be and offers a deep dark black where needed. Everything just looks better on this TV - not just 4K content. The sound of the built in speakers is ok but I recommend a sound bar. We connected our sound bar via an optical wire - and the TV syncs picture and sound perfectly. The only reason I am not giving this TV a 5 star rating is the lack of apps. Disney+ for example we have to stream via Roku or Apple TV. The basics are covered with Amazon Prime, Netflix, YouTube and Hulu. CuriosityStream is there, too. However, with the exception of some Amazon Prime content you hardly find any 4K content.

Overall great picture quality with deep blacks, great highlights and local dimming for this price category. Good for gaming due to low input lag. Does great with motion blurring for sports but colors may be a little more muted compared to Samsung’s offering. Design and build quality feel great. One nice addition is component video inputs as well if you still have older devices that need this type of input. Smart features are laid out nicely but seem laggy. Menus are efficient and remote is basic but has a nice feel overall. Would recommend this TV at this price point.

I had horrible input lag on my old vizio 3d tv(2011), After setting this up i was blown away by all the great features, apps, and picture quality. PS4 works great! Megaman 11 works flawlessly on this TV. I have a Plex server setup and streamed some 4k movies. The picture was so beautiful and the HDR mode was enable buy my movie that i can say with confidence that this TV compares to the qled and oled for sure. 1080p content looks ok, sorta fuzzy but that could be my media. Great buy and great for gaming because you know, no lag :)

I gave it 5 stars because its a really nice TV. But if your buying it to replace one, make sure the old one is not very good. I have a Samsung i bought that came out 2014. same size middle to upper level. Figured i would get a new TV and move the old to bedroom. Saw this in store and read reviews, looked really good. Now that its home it doesn't seem to be all that much better than the Samsung I bought really. Now this is on normal content, DirectTV, netflix, HULU etc, and the room is middling dark. Just saying while its a nice TV, if your getting it as an upgrade from a HD tv you already have, I would save my money and wait till they get the burn in issue fixed on the OLED....if you need a TV or have a really crappy one, then its a great purchase......

Visio's QLED technology is amazing. I would put it up against any other flat panel LED TV on the planet for the features, picture quality and ease of use. The menu system is easy to use and if I make a change that completely screws up the TV, there are default settings that are easily accessible which will put everything back to factory settings. This allows me the ability to change lots of features/settings without worrying about trying to figure out how to get everything back to normal. I love this TV!

I bought this in Nov 2019 and 14 months later, mostly regretting the purchase. Overall: Very frustrating when technology makes things harder not easier or better. This is one of those cases. Usage Breakdown: Streaming (70%) variety of movies/shows, network TV over antennae (20%), HDMI connected devices (10%). Picture quality was fine for all types of media (animated, action, gaming), but sound isn't enough to properly fill up a 20ft x 20ft room. Pros: Easy to mount with one person, big enough for the room, picture quality is good day and night. Plenty of ports, and built-in smart apps. Cons: - VERY SLOW to turn on such that we turn it on and give it several minutes to "settle" down. 15% of the time it restarts or needs to be restarted. - The SmartCast menu is even slower. Think AOL 20 years ago. Due to updates, the menu was mostly unavailable for a month back in August 2020. It has Chromecast, so we tend to now just cast directly from a tablet or smartphone instead of using the built-in apps. - The remote is not responsive. Even with direct line of sight, no other devices in the area, and I need to press the remove buttons 1-2 times before the tv responds. Its definitely not operator or room obstructions. - The first 2 months, it would randomly turn on. After searching online and trouble-shooting, I was able to make that stop. I think what worked was removing the capability of turning it on by casting from another device. Again, this was not caused by operator error. - Did I tell you it was slow? Even when watching TV. It is noticeably slower than my older E-series LED Vizio tv. After 12 months, it sometimes (10%) only outputs audio and no video. I have to restart to make it work again. In summary, only buy this if you are connecting directly to PlayStation or Xbox. Accept it will take a while to power on.

First of all I Returned this tv and got a different one. The picture quality is amazing, one of the best I have seen so far, unfortunately for me Vizio cast was a no way, this was a major downside, but still could live with it since I have Apple TV and fire TV, but what made me return this tv was that it randomly turned on. It did it Around 3 times in a week. If you are looking for a great image at a low price and have a smart box, this is a good tv, but there is more options on the market.

I bought this TV last August. I spent a lot of time comparing and reviewing, and really, agonizing over which unit to buy. So many choices yet, everything seemed so similar. In the end I bought this unit for its excellent picture and excellent value. I got it for $999 and really could not be happier. Excellent, bright picture, no breakdowns. The sound isn't excellent but connected to a sound bar, no problem there. I really enjoy this product.

When I first heard about the new P series and the dark zone capability I was extremely interested. But I of course had that initial question in my head, Is it Worth It? To figure this out I made some purchases and did some exploring. I first purchased the Higher end 55 inch M-Series Quantum to test it out. This was a solid TV and really could be used in any home to replace an older model TV. It's reliable, has superb colors and does fair with sound. However, it left me wanting more. While it was a good looking TV, I just felt like I could get more of a bang for my buck. I would recommend a quality soundbar for both the M and P series. I also had the luxury of testing a TCL 6 series. I really wanted to like this TV because of all the positive reviews but just could not. I found the picture to be a bit less than the P series and overall just was not for me. I do feel most people would enjoy the 6 series so long as they are fortunate to get a "lucky" panel. Now the P series. The picture is really great. The dark zones are spot on and to be honest, sometimes I think my TV is powered off but it is still on. The room I have it in has a fair amount of lighting and I really have zero reflective issues. I did purchase a sound bar which presents me with surround sound and compliments the TV hugely. The ONE thing if noticed is the banding when some parts of a picture are lighter than the rest. Such as the sky in some pictures. However, I rarely notice it and it really makes zero difference. I haven't gamed on it as I mainly use a monitor for that. The free channels are a plus and the setup is on point. The remote is typical and could be improved but it gets the Job Done. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase.

Great picture. Dolby Vision HDR is amazing. Now with the recent software update it has the competing HDR format HDR10+. As far as I know Vizio is the only tv in the US market to have both in one tv.Suck it Samsung.JK lol. Only downside and it’s not much of one is the sound. Only ok but that’s fine if your tv is in a bedroom. Would absolutely recommend.

The older Visio was basic 4k and while still a very good TV it did not adequately do a darker screened movie justice. The new Quantum P Model 4k is everything we had hoped. Making the change was well worth it to see the whole screen be so well wonderful. The much higher refresh rate was much appreciated watching the Bears football game. Good still functioning 4k tv is in basement and enjoying so much it's replacement.
