    The TV doesn't come with a real remote. Must be able to connect the TV to wifi and use either a phone or tablet as a remote. The TV wifi connection is extremely poor and drops signal constantly. The Bluetooth connection has limited range as well. Save yourself some headaches and spend your money a TV that comes with a real remote. By real remote, I mean one they access the menu controls for sound, color, settings, etc. The television comes with a ~7 button remote. Power, volume, source...

    Not impressed at all with the tv or the features. There's better cheaper tvs in the market. Don't regret the purchase but I could've done better.

    Should have just gotten something other than the chromocast because this tv disconnects so much when I'm trying to cast from my phone.

    picture suddenly went black after just 5 months. tv unable to display any picture, of any kind, from any source. no menus, nothing. so tired of spending $1000's on junk products. i have a $300 15+ year old, Philips brand flat screen from walmart that has never had any problem. Bought an $1000 LG from best buy...lasted 13 months. Replaced it with a $1300 Vizio from best buy...5 months. I don't get it.

    I'm on my second t.v at this point and see my self returning this thinking of changing brands at this point don't know If it's just my luck but this is now the second Tv that has damaged pixels black spots

    Arrived on Wednesday, no longer working on Thursday... Vizio is sending someone to fix the tv in 5-7 days... We will see. Until then, my unresponsive day old TV is a great conversation piece.

    Screen turns white after a while, i just got this TV 2 days ago. How can a brand new product behave in such a way. There were really good reviews on this product before i bought it but now the reviews dont hold up. i tried to call best buy geek squad but told to call back later :(

    Run, Run, Run away as fast as you can! Terrible remote , useless USB ports ,Smart Cast is flawed in so many ways. Look else where, don't waste your money.

    The people in the store explained key things to know for this TV: 1, no TV tuner, so you cannot but an antenna to watch TV; 2, TV remote is basic, you need to download apps on your phone or Tablet to control the TV. We don't use antenna now so it is not an issue. For remote control, I would say it is really an advantage after you experienced it. I am really tired of using TV remotes which is really not able to well control smart TV. It should be natural using the phone to control for all smart TVs. Chromecast is so convenient and after a week our TV is still just a power cable connected- all content so far casted via Wifi! The issue you may have is that, not all apps support chrome cast. Xfinity app intentionally blocked it and want people to use they box for each TV. So does Amazon. Those companies just don't want you to play at ease without using their hardware or service. You can download some apps to search videos and cast it. Ok, you have to be able to understand those technology to comfortably use them. Otherwise, use a TV box and hooks up with HDMI. If you really don't like to use your phones to control the TV, buy other models.

    I needed a new more modern tv for my great room. At the time, the price was excellents d was highly rated on several online pages. Other than not having super dark black images on some movies, I love this tv. I use with my Apple TV and enjoy streaming flawlessly. I also purchased a Vizio sound bar which gives me perfect surround saying.

    Received bad unit, confusing customer service

    Ordered the unit online. Received it 2 days later. Unboxed it carefully, wall mount already prepared. Mounted it and turned it on. Beautiful picture. Watched several minutes of different videos. Noticed that on lighter backgrounds that there was a distinct set of ripples on the right hand side of the screen. Call Geek Squad and they said no problem. We'll pick it up and send a replacement. UPS shows up two days later to pick up the TV. No replacement. Call Geek Squad and for some reason they didn't send one. Said they'll give me a refund to the card once they receive the TV. So couple days later I call to see what the status is and they don't have a record of receiving the TV. Geek Squad hands me off to main support to see if they can help. They in turn hand me back to Geek Squad who then puts me on hold and sends me back to main. Who then puts me on hold and then I get the dial tone...I guess if I don't see a refund in 48 hours I'll just dispute the charge. If I hadn't been handed back and forth like that I would have given the TV a great rating. At this point I don't think I'll be re-ordering a new once since I've still got 1300 charge on my card and I don't want to go through support call roulette again.

    Don't Let The In-Store 4k Video Fool You

    This TV is very big, but it only looks great when playing 4k content on Youtube. We use Directv and Fire TV, and the content on there looks pixelated, grainy and often times washed out. There's also no user interface to change the picture settings like brightness, contrast, ect. You have to use your smartphone/tablet in order to change those settings. There's no interface for smart apps like Netflix, You-ube - instead you have to cast those things from your phone to your tv. It's actually a huge drawback. I don't want to have to pull stuff up on my phone, I want to pull it up on my tv lol. But with the screen problems, along with the difficulty changing the video brightness/contrast makes it a very frustrating TV and one I cannot recommend. 4K looks great, but that content is still so hard to find that I cannot recommend it on that basis alone. We're returning the TV.

    The only low ratings this TV gets are folks that think a remote is the deal breaker. This is a futuristic TV not a old school tunner. I find control over this set with smart devices is a lot faster than old fashion built in menu. My 11 year old Downloaded the App and streams all of his favorite 4K videos from YouTube! For you adults that hate this Tv because you can't operate it let your modern day kids teach you how to use it. Best TV I have ever owned !!!!

    First thing.... Read all of the Vizio's responses to people's reviews on this site, and see how basic their response are, and how they repeat themselves. I am not accepting that on my review, so Vizio, step up on your vague responses and own up to your mistake. First off, let's talk about this smartcast remote. Vizio feels that remotes are stupid and we should not have an option to have one? You will get a basic physical remote that allows you to turn the TV on, switch between pre-define picture settings, and change inputs. That is correct, with that remote, you will not be able to change any features of the TV, like brightness , contrast, use the smart features, and so on. What does Vizio want you to do. Well, just read their responses about the great Smartcast app, that I cannot install on my phone, wife's phone, tablet, or daughter's phone. That part really does not matter anyway. I sit down on my couch to watch TV, not play with my phone. Now I have to re-box my 70inch TV and take it back to the store. I will easily spend an extra $1,000 for a TV, just to not have to deal with this. Life is too short to deal with something like this. This should of been an option, not mandatory. It amazes me how company's today actually make decisions like this. When I called Tech Support, their answer was for me to get another phone. Are you kidding me, I bought a Vizio TV, and now I have to buy a phone or tablet, get real! A Company that really thinks this is an acceptable answer, is not a company for me. The sad part is that I have two 48" Vizio that work great. I use them for PC monitor and going to purchase two new 4k TVs, and they will not be Vizio. So Vizio can act like they are revolutionizing the remote experience, but they can have it. I use my remote without looking at it, so how are you going to do that with a smart phone or tablet. You will always have to look at it and you will not have the convenience of using your sense of touch to control your remote. Never in my life did I expect this to have with a product that was over $1,000.
