First of all I have to say that I was a little hesitant at first to buy this tv. The first flatscreen TV I had ever purchased was a Vizio ten years ago. The old tv worked great and the sound finally went out. This tv was an addition for the media room. This Visio tv has an awesome picture period. Navigation and remote are easy. No regrets and I am very pleased with purchase. The size is perfect for the room. I mounted it on the wall and hid all the wires. The bottom on the screen is 5 feet from the ground and the screen like massive. Truly a pleasure to watch. I hope anyone interested in this tv enjoys it as much as I do.

I'm really happy with my purchase. Received a good deal with the price match. The picture is really nice but definitely had to tweak the settings. "Game" picture setting worked best for me with some tweaks. Netflix 4k looks awesome! Hopefully there's more 4k content coming soon. Haven't used much of the smart features other than netflix but it seems to work well. The speakers are okay. I use a sound bar. The remote is cool..I don't really notice the keyboard on the bottom and it's definitely handy when it's needed. I'd recommend to others.

This is the second VIZIO I've purchased and I love it. Out of the box it is easy to set up. I get my TV over the air, Netflix, and with a computer plugged into the TV via HDMI (of which there are 5). The TV does a great job of up converting everything to near 4K quality. Netflix original programming is in 4K, but you have to upgrade your service for a few dollars more. It's worth it. The picture quality is amazing. The sound quality of a VIZIO is good on it's own, but I recommend getting a sound for extra clarity and oomph.

I am super impressed and glad I didn't spend money on a popular brand like Sony or Samsung. Picture clarity, responsiveness and sound are awe-mazing. I have a surround sound system and even without it it sounds pretty impressive.

I still haven't used all the features to tell much. Quality picture as you could expect being a 4K. The only problem I have with it is you can't use a external hard drive with it, only a USB flashdrive and nothing over 4 Gigs per movie will work.

I bought this TV on sale. The free delivery and set up was a big plus. After many available video adjustments I can see so much more detail than the 65" DLP rear projection TV I had.Very satisfied with this Vizio. I had intensions on buying a 65" Sony. But for the same price this 70" Vizio is a better deal

Disclaimer: At the time of this review I have only had the M70-C3 for 5 days. So I can't speak to it's durability and long term performance.
Firstly, I read a lot of reviews, both professional and consumer, for a lot of products that I purchase and I compare multiple products in a category based on what I decide are my requirements. And I understand that a lot of people don't have that kind of time, or they don't like to spend their time that way.
For this purchase, My base requirements were pretty simple: 70"+ TV with generally positive reviews (4 stars or higher on a 5 star scale) and a compatible soundbar from the same manufacturer (for ease of pairing and maximum feature utilization) with equally positive reviews. In this case, the soundbar ended up being the Vizio SB4051-C0.
In order of importance, the features that I used for value comparison were as follows:
1. Overall consumer reviews (with emphasis on repeated complaints)
2. Cost (absolute budget cap of $3000)
3. Screen size (70", 75", 80")
4. Refresh rate (both actual and software upscaling)
5. Motion Blur
6. Smart capabilities - and ability to automatically update firmware
7. Overall professional reviews (with emphasis on comparative X vs Y type reviews)
8. Black levels
9. True colors
10. LED array vs edge lit
11. Input Lag (I am an occasional gamer)
12. Number and types of inputs and types of outputs supported
13. Curved Screen
14. Latest Model
15. 4K capability (there just isn't enough content out there for this to be very important to me yet)
16. Positive Brand recognition
17. 3D capability
Based on comparing the above factors across multiple televisions, I determined that the M70-C3 was the best value for me, especially after it went on sale ($400 savings from MSRP). Although, it was in the top three even before the sale. Obviously the M70 does not have all of the features in the list, nor was it necessarily the best in each category. However, overall it had the best mix of features that met my desires.
I did have to do some tweaking of the settings for the picture in order to reduce jitter and blur which did end up negating some of the software upscaling features. Luckily there are several reviews (professional and consumer) in which people have shared their settings, and using those as a guide, it didn't take me very long to get mine set to my preferences, and I may still do some more minor tweaking as I try different content.
Overall, I am happy with the delivery and condition of the television I received and can think of no reason to rate it less than 5 stars at this time.

I purchased my 2015 Vizio M70-C3 about 1 month ago. Overall I think this is an excellent 4K TV. The FALD(Full Array Local Dimming) works great. It allows you to maintain deep blacks along with great shadow detail. No other TV offers FALD in this price range.
This TV must be calibrated properly though. If you take it straight out of the box and watch it you won’t be satisfied. You must buy a calibration blu-ray disc like DVE(Digital Video Essentials) and calibrate the colors and the shadow details for it to show the full potential of the TV.
This TV came with the new firmware installed on it. Here is a list of what appears to work on this TV.
1. Both Motion interpolation controls work perfectly. There is very little Soap Opera Effect with a Reduce Judder setting of 3 or less and a Reduce Motion Blur setting of 6 or less. These new settings work extremely well with moderate values and with the new firmware the bug is resolved. It will now remember your settings.
2. The Clear Action setting still dims the screen significantly but the flickering that is present with my M55 is almost unnoticeable. I like the new motion interpolation settings better but this is now a viable option if you don’t mind the dimming.
3. The FALD is exceptional with the M80. I was so nervous that the TV would have inconsistencies with black levels because it is so big with so few zones. I am very impressed with its performance. The blacks are deep and consistent throughout the entire MASSIVE screen. There is some dirty screen effect but it is tolerable in my opinion. It may not be for others though.
4. The RGB setting now works. It passes Blacker than Black and Whiter than White and it requires that you change at least the brightness setting for content that is 16-235 unlike the YCbCr/Auto setting that will clip BTB an WTW. With YCbCr/Auto you will clip the signal even further if you adjust the contrast or Brightness away from their default values. Please use the RGB setting if you insist on changing the brightness and contrast settings with the new firmware.
5. 4k@60 fps and 4K @ 30 FPS work perfectly. I can’t test 4:4:4 though because my computer is last year’s model without HDMI 2.0a support.
6. 1080p @ 120 FPS unfortunately doesn’t work at all. It wouldn’t allow me to select that resolution and frame rate. My 2014 Vizio P-series allows me to select and properly display 1080p @ 120 FPS but the M80-C3 would not. I have no clue why this is so. Maybe the new firmware disables it. It didn’t work though. That was a bummer.
Overall the M70-C3 is stunning. I had people over last night and they just watched in AWE as This TV does not support Youtube 4K playback so you have to use a computer to play the true 4K youtube videos.
Having a HUGE screen really is worth it in my opinion. However, you absolutely MUST adjust the settings properly. I 100% guarantee that you will be disappointed with this TV if you leave it in the default mode and watch cable or satellite feeds with it.
You must put it in calibrated or calibrated dark mode, not touch contrast or brightness unless you use RGB, adjust the sharpness, and adjust the “Reduce Noise” settings properly.
The Reduce Noise settings had the biggest impact. You need to balance the Reduce Signal Noise and Reduce Block Noise settings to achieve the best picture from overly compressed content. The HUGE screen amplifies every single fault in the compressed signal and at 10 feet from the screen every fault was readily apparent.
However, once I put the Reduce Signal Noise to a value of Low and the Reduce Block Noise to a value of Medium it cleared up those issues significantly. I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed with this TV even when I am watching overly compressed 720p and 1080i content. However, when you put a good quality Blu-ray or 4K content on the screen it just sucks you in. You won’t get that experience with a smaller screen.
If you get this TV make sure you turn on the “Active LED Zones”(Local Dimming) function. It is ridiculous that some people are saying you shouldn’t use this setting. That is simply a way to justify the fact that other brands don’t offer good local dimming in their much more expensive televisions. The local dimming feature is essential to getting the most out of this TV.
Here are my settings if anyone wants to try them. Please note I don’t give my individual color settings out because those vary per TV. Please note these are for RGB 4K signals. These are my Blu-ray/Computer settings for use with 4K output from those devices.
Backlight= 72
Brightness= 30
Contrast = 50
Color = 59
Sharpness = 35
More Picture Settings:
Black Detail = Medium
Active LED Zones = On
Reduce Judder = 2
Reduce Motion Blur = 0
Clear Action = Off
Reduce Noise (Both) = 0
Game Low Latency = Off
Film Mode Auto
Color Space = RGB(My computer and Blu-ray player also are set to output RGB)
Gamma = 1.8 or 2.0 depending on content.
Looks great over the fire place.

Do not, I repeat, DO NOT waste your money on this unit. Tv was less than two years old when the problem started to appear. Dark spot on the right third of the screen. Vizio and Best Buy failed to assist or offer a cost effective solutions to fix. I should have spent extra $300 for the Sony (at time, this tv cost over $1,800). I will NEVER purchase another Vizio product or purchase anything from Best Buy ever again.
Sincerely,
A former loyal 20-year Best Buy customer

Its a great tv.. And that price for a 4k70 inch tv is very reasonable.. Ya it's not A Samsung but man if you put them together you really can't tell the diffrence...you just paying for a name but everybody has their own preference. But oerall if you wand a big tv and a reasonable price You can't go wrong with this tv.. I even got 5.1 sorround sound system from Verizon too and it's awsome with the tv.I LOVE IT.

I am usually a Samsung loyalist, and even though I will still contend that their colors are unrivaled, you just cannot be this television for the price. Since I don't really game, the television for us is mostly for Netflix, movies, and sports, and for that it does a great job. Especially when you add the 4K to your Netflix account.
I think one of my favorite parts, as well as for many people, is the removed. No longer having to mess with configuring anything and just be able to go to Netflix or Amazon or YouTube at the touch of a button, with a QWERTY keyboard on the back of the remote, is super convenient.

I always liked Vizio tvs . I have a 55 inch 3d vizio that I wanted to upgrade so I started looking for a bigger tv. Price wise this tv delivers. I was skeptical about 4k but even tho it upscales it you can tell the difference. The brightness and clarity is the first thing you will notice how clear the picture is . A 70 inch ultra tv for 2000 dollars is worth every penny. The only gripe I would have is the volume of the tv doesn't seem to be as great but that is usually an issue and getting surround sound will fix that. All in all I am very happy with my purchase

Wow! We replaced a 65" Panasonic Viera for this TV. The picture is fantastic and who cares that major networks are not broadcasting in 4K. You can watch 4K shows on netflix and by using the apps Vizio provides. We read in an article that Game of Thrones will be broadcast in 4K in April '16. What else could anyone want but to watch one of their favorite shows in 4K. Sporting events are vivid and deliver a wow factor when watching on this TV. We bought a sony 4K sound bar as well. The sound is fabulous. Super happy with our new TV and sound bar.

My former TV went out and the warranty give me a check to replace it. I decided to upgrade to 4K. I haven't used it's 4K capabilities as of yet, but the picture is better that my former 1080P not to mention the addition of 240hz.
