I bought this TV to replace a Samsung plasma which suffered an early demise due to the apparently well-known issue of defective capacitors. That experience as well as an unreliable Blu-ray player pretty much soured me against any more Samsung products. This Vizio has a fantastic picture, great features and is relatively value-priced. I'm very happy with it.

Lots of great things to like about the vizio. The appearance is sleek, the moden silver bezel is nice. The build quality is more than sturdy, none of the connectors feel loose when plugging in hdmi or optical. The picture quality is amazing right out of the box with many preset picture modes. Some calibration is necessary in order to get the absolute best picture, but that is the case with nearly any tv. Smart features are responsive and the high speed wireless is a welcome feature. For gaming the hdmi 5 port is a must and this tv delivers. Other tvs from Samsung and Sony in the same size cost upwards of 500-2000 more. The vizio is a great bang for your buck in my opinion. Not that I'm an expert by any means however. Just a data point in your search for the right tv.

This TV is absolutely the best bang for your buck in the competitive 4k market. While it may not be the pinnacle of screens, the display output on this bad boy is fantastic.... once you calibrate it (Download the THX app and connect it via HDMI and it will walk you through everything to make the picture as crisp and clean as possible) The speakers aren't anything to write home about, but if you are buying a $2000 TV, 99% chance that you have a home theater system to go along with it. I was a little bummed that the distance between the stands wouldn't fit on my console (around 52" are needed) but it was a sleek excuse to get this hung up on my wall and it looks great!) For a sale price of only $1700 you will not find a better bang for your buck in the 4k market yet. I recommend this whole heatedly for the avid TV watcher, but if you want the best there is, there are better TVs... but expect to pay double.

This is the best TV out there at the moment for the price. I had read numerous reviews before pulling the trigger and buying this tv. The picture quality is out of this world. The up converting is picture perfect. I learned quickly about the soap opera effect and, it did make some tv quite cheesy looking. But after a quick change in settings, it was rectified, and now everything looks flawless all the time. Being football season has not started yet, I have not tested any motion blur, so that will be my last test. But I would recommend this TV to anyone as the quality and price are great.

Great picture and the sound is much better on this than our old one. It was a very easy set-up and had good instructions. It is amazing when you see something broadcast in 4K. I can't wait until there is more content and this is the norm. Very happy with our purchase.

I bought this as a tv gift for my parents new home. They have a large theater room and needed a tv to match. They were considering a projector, but given the size, excellent picture and price this tv was a no brainier. Mounted on a the wall easily and had it connected to Netflix and steaming content in no time. The remote also has qwerty keyboard on the back of it for typing in login info etc... Made setup a breeze

Vizio improved on the last model with this tv. Apps are a lot faster and more of them. The colors are bright and crisp. The refresh rate is great. Also, they fixed the problem with the blacks on dark movies looking grey. Will continue to buy Vizio.

Just picked this up for my parents at Xmas and it did not dissapoint. The TV is very easy to setup and use and works very well in combination with the vizio soundbar. Incredible clarity for the screen size and upscaling of regular content is noticed immediately even with cable programs in standard definition. I'm certain that there are those who would claim a better picture or content but for the price range I don't think you can get a better value for a solid product than this especially in the 70" and up category and with far more 4K content on the horizon it is as good a time as any to upgrade and start enjoying! So far this TV is proving well worth it's own weight and a great product for anyone looking to cross into 4K territory in style.

When I first bought this TV I thought it might be a mistake because I usually go with Samsung products because every TV I got from Samsung was excellent I bought a Samsung f8000 about 3 years ago and I thought the picture was amazing until I bought this Vizio I was surprised that the vizio blu my samsung out of the water my samsung was a 55 inch and it was professionally calibrated and I think the vizio still has a better picture and the 4k is just mind blowing

Sometimes paying more does not pay off with today's electronics. The Vizio "M" series is an excellent example. For up to half the cost of the competition you get a very capable 4K lcd. Not displayed under the best conditions in the store, located as an "end cap" item, take it home and tweak the settings and you will be smiling. Remember a tv cannot make a bad signal look good, however, a Blu ray signal or ota hdtv is stunning on this set. Second Vizio in the family, daughter bought a 42" years ago that still looks and performs great. Vizio is a winner in this category!

This is a great TV, especially for the price! It is really simple to set up and internet ready. The picture is exceptional and the remote is intuitive. I'm really happy to own it.

I wanted a TV that would give me more options, more inputs, better control over the picture quality, and at a price most can afford. This TV is for you. I love the picture, the deep blacks and brilliant colors. The LED back lighting gives this picture a almost 3d look and with the 240 Hz refresh rate action has never looked so good. So if you are looking for a high end TV without the high end price, this tv is for you :}.....!!!!

This is the perfect TV for the price point. My only gripe with VIZIO is the lack of smart tv apps available. The sound is much better than expected and the picture quality is second to none. With a few slight adjustments using a bluray disc setup guide (I used HD Basics) it is crisp and clear. I am in no way an expert and I could not get over how easy it was to set up.

We puchased this TV about 4 weeks ago. It has a really graet picture and we are really enjoying it. It makes our old tv look really bad. I've watched a few NFL football games, movies, network news and it is raelly looks great. My friends and family are impressed too. I highly recommed this tv to anyone looking for a tv with a great picture. It was easy to install and setup. Looking forward to the holidays when friends and family are over.

Like a lot of other people I did quite a bit of research before making my decision to purchase this TV. I knew I wanted a bigger TV for the "man cave" and this TV was the perfect one for size, price, and picture quality. For the most part, the picture quality is great. The 4k from Netflix and Amazon is amazing and blu rays look great as well. The only time the picture doesn't look amazing is from my cable on certain channels (I have Xfinity and the X1 box.) Some HD channels are awesome but others like AMC, especially when watching The Walking Dead, are not the best. This has more to do with the source than it does the TV though. Overall I am extremely happy with my purchase. The only negative is that now I want to stay inside to watch TV all the time!

This is an excellent 4k TV. I read many reviews from both purchasers and tech sites prior to making the purchase. I was not disappointed. I am confident that you cannot find a better value for a 70 inch 4k TV for under $2,500.

I have a big family room so I wanted a big TV. I did a a ton of research on brands, technologies, curved screens, prices, etc. and kept coming back to this one as the right choice. And it absolutely was. The picture is amazing especially when high quality HD or 4K is available. The net flix and YouTube apps work beautifully. The TV itself just looks stunning even when off. Most surprisingly , the sound on it is really good and I'm very picky regarding sound quality. I really thought I was going to need to a sound bar or other system but I am quite happy with the TV sound itself which I didn't expect. Since it is a large screen , lower quality video will be more obvious (SD, lower quality you tube and net flix videos , on demand etc ). However , the HD and the limited UHD videos are absolutely breath taking. I watch a lot of sports and the football players are almost life size on the big screen . My wife and kids watch movies which come in really good as well. Based on my research , this TV has about the same quality and technological features as it Samsung competitor. yet the Samsung is at least $4,000 more due to name , it's thinner , and it's apps load a few seconds faster. I didn't feel those marginal advantages justified the triple price tag. I would say that because the screen is so big it almost takes a little bit of time for it to "warm up " before the picture really gets amazingly clear and crisp. (Approx. 5. Mins). The picture still looks great during this. 5 minute warm up phase but you will notice it gets even better. So don't get frustrated when you turn it on and it's not the best picture ever. I also custom caliberated the picture settings for my personal preference and the light in my room. You should always do this and it really made a difference. I forget the website but just google " best picture settings " for this TV model and there are some good free websites which guide you through this process. Again don't get frustrated with the settings, just know it might take a few different times if adjusting to get it right for you. I've had the TV for almost 4 months now and I love it more everyday. If you can afford this and have a big enough room for it , then I would highly recommend it.

This is our third Vizio TV and we highly recommend their products. The picture quality is excellent, they're sturdy and reliable, and on this model the 4K allows you to sit closer and still get excellent definition. I'm certain that next time we need to buy another TV-and we don't expect that will be soon, since these guys last and last-we'll also go for a Vizio.

This tv is great. This was my first 4 k TV, and the picture quality is so good it takes about an hour to get used to it. The image is so clear that it feels as if it has depth. The tv is very intuitive to use, and it's smart features such as netflix so easy to use with the keyboard on the back of the remote.

Overall This TV is a Great Buy, The only down side is the sound quality, after getting it home and putting it to the test there were parts when it came in very loud (Volume set at 30) and other parts where it came in so low i had to turn it up (Volume at 40) only to turn it back down as it got way to loud... A good fix would be to buy a sound bar with purchase as it will come in very handy and keep your volume at a steady hearable level =) and it will save you the trip back to the store ...
