Best Mid Tier 70” TV For The Price

Bought this TV when it was on sale for $749.99. By far the best value for the price compared to other competitive models. This TV is perfect for gaming even though it’s only 60Hz. I mainly use it for my PS5 and the VRR support helps immensely since it’s not 120Hz. If you can’t justify the price difference between 60Hz/120Hz, this is the TV for you. Peak brightness is around 700 nits which is far superior than the V series I previously owned. Is it the brightest in the world? Absolutely not. But like I said previously you can’t find another TV with its features for the price. This TV has great colors and deep blacks. The only knock on this tv is Vizios menu interface for streaming. However, with most people now a says owning a fire stick, Apple TV, etc it really doesn’t matter. Built in sound is a little weak, but if you own a TV like this you are only doing yourself a disservice by relying on the built in speakers. Get a surround sound/sound bar unit.

Was able to get this on sale with an additional 10% off. Felt like I stole this TV. This is a very good TV and a great size for a large room. Colors are great. Yes it’s not a 120hz screen and it’s not OLED…but it does a fantastic job for the price point.

Superb picture. Contrast ratio is excellent. Dark scenes have a lot of detail and when they show a sunny sky scene you may want sunglasses. I had to turn-down the backlight level and color saturation as it was too much for my room (a good problem to have). The Vizio smart apps are all pre-loaded, with no way to download more. It had all the apps I was looking for and plenty of options for free movies. The TV has a metal back so it is a very sturdy construction, but a little heavy. It's a 2-man lift. If you go to Settings, Admin, System-Info you can see the current resolution of your source. A nice bit of information. The remote is similar to a FireStick remote. It is intuitive and easy to get used to. Voice control works pretty good also. The only negative is the sound quality, typical of very small speakers. Definitely need a sound-bar.

Absolutely amazing TV. First time buying anything over 50" so I was pretty careful. This thing has amazing picture, comes with most if not all new tech (HDR10, HDMI 2.1, etc.) Great purchase for sure.

Overall, this TV is pretty great. The picture, even using antenna stations, looks great. The downsides are the remote and the closed captioning. The remote is minimal and it makes it hard to swap out different sections, like Hulu to Roku to antenna. And closed captioning put the captions towards the top of the screen, this blocking the picture. Super frustrating.

Be warned, this low price comes with a trade-off in quality. While the picture and sound quality are good, there’s a few issues. 1. The software issues are real. More than once a week, the screen (upon powering up) is blacked out. You can select to change the input, but the screen stays black and will not load any picture, no matter the input. You have to unplug the TV to get the screen to work again. 2. Randomly, you’ll press the volume up on the remote, and it will just continue to raise the volume until it maxes out. Pressing the down volume does nothing. Again, you have to turn the TV off to get it to stop. (Be careful, if you power the TV back up on an input with sound, the volume will be maxed out). This is extraordinarily frustrating when everyone else in the house is asleep and suddenly the volume is full blast. Thanks for that, Vizio. 3. Constant software updates that aren’t fixing any of these above issues. If I had to do it over, I would go with the Sony or the LG instead. The picture quality and sound quality are good, but these issues are too often and too frustrating to pick this TV again.

Overall the TV was a great buy at the Black Friday price. Picture quality and features are great. Minor quality issues with there being a small chip in the coating on the outside frame of the TV and two small bubbles in the outer film over the screen but not inside the picture area. It was too much of a hassle to go through returning it exchanging it since these issues did not affect the viewing experience. If I had paid full price, I definitely would have returned it though.

Excellent TV on a budget. Bought an Open box from store. The Netflix app crashes on the TV, but the rest are working fine. If you’re connecting Google TV to this, keep in mind that the max refresh rate that I could set mine to was 4k 30Hz. I’m not seeing any 60Hz option at all. Overall good TV for the price. Docked one star for the Netflix app crashing
