i just got the Vizio 65" Ultra 4k and love it! I shopped extensively online and ended up getting a super deal from BestBuy and couldn't be happier. Thanks to the knowledgeable and friendly staff made my purchase easy along with great financing.
I'm very pleased in the bang for my buck!

I love this TV and it has been very easy to navigate through. I only have one con, I wish Vizio would add a browser. Other than that I'm extremely pleased!

This was purchased in June. Iy was a beautiful picture while it lasted. It is now September and the screen is going dark. It looks like reverse strobe lights flashing dark with dark lines across the screen. Sometines it goes completely black but the sound is still going. Have 2 other Vizios that are great and have had way more usage. There were a few quirky things right after we set it up but they went away until it went dim.

Got this for an amazing price back in Feb. Previously had a LG 55UB8500 and this set is much better overall. I do miss LG's webOS but the picture is definitely better on this.
The Full Array Local Dimming gives this set plasma like blacks. The picture is great once calibrated and compares to the high end 4K sets. Netflix and Amazon 4k look great but there's no youtube 4k support (VP9).
Few cons: Ugly App menus, USB drive will only play 4k encoded in H265 and for PC users it does not support 4:4:4 Chroma.
Overall, it's a great set with good smart features and a full QWERTY remote. I have it hooked up to a sound bar so no speaker opinions.

We bought this TV after deciding to replace the 60" DLP we'd had for about 10 years.
I really like the picture. I had to do some serious fine tuning on it to get it to where I liked it (it doesn't look like a bad soap opera now!). It does have very good blacks, as far as I can tell. Of course, my eyes aren't calibrated. Colors are vibrant, without being harsh. I've had no noticeable blurring issues when watching baseball, basketball, or hockey.
It is a very attractive piece of furniture. Nice thin, high gloss bezel. Overall, it's a very appealing design.
I really like the generous number of HDMI inputs too. Especially, the 4K high speed HDMI output on the side for the latest gaming boxes (which both of my sons have. The rear I/O panel is well laid out and easy to get to. The connectors aren't all jammed together, so it's not difficult to get back there and work with cables when I have to.
Overall, I'm very pleased with this TV and would recommend it. I understand it's not videophile quality. But, for what I paid for it, and the way it's used, I don't think you can beat it with any other TV on the market.
Just my $.02 worth!

The very first day Netflix was unusable because of an image deformation. Suspecting of a needed firmware upgrade I tried to find the manual update option with no luck. Called Vizio and their best advice was to call Netflix. After playing and tweaking I took it back and exchanged it for another to find the same problem. This led me to the conclusion that it was a bug to be fixed later and decided to keep the TV anyways. In fact, the problem was corrected after a couple of hours being off during which a firmware upgrade took place. By the way, there is a way to update it manually, but the option is buried and cryptic. Go to Menu>System>System Information, go down to the last item: Service Check and hit OK.
The TV image is really nice after adjusting the Calibrated setting. However, there is a noticeable lag in LED dimming during fast changing scenes. But you need to look a little carefully to see it.
My set was working very satisfactorily until two months later a reddish tint appeared all over the screen. This was especially visible in dark backgrounds and with low room light. Also, the dynamic contrast went down a lot in performance. Tweaking, restarting, factory resetting, etc, etc, made no difference. Vizio requested pictures of the issue. You can see two of them here. Because of the camera sensitivity the red tint looks some more intense than in reality. To their credit, Vizio decided to send me a replacement in a quick and painless process.
I have had the new one for only a day and hope it goes much better now. Because of the many good reviews for this TV and my completely good experience owning Vizio devices so far, I think that I must have gotten an infrequent lemon. So I’m still giving this set 4 stars (5 would have been too much even without these problems) and hoping that my replacement will last many years.

I bought the Vizio 65" 4K HDTV just before Thanksgiving 2014. We'd recently purchased a newer home with a large great room and really needed a good sized TV. I wanted to futureproof myself, so I looked at the 4K TV's. For the value, the Vizio is hard to beat. We've hooked it up to our home network and have used several of the build-in apps. I was using my Roku to connect to Plex before, but now I can do it natively from the Vizio, freeing up my Roku for another TV. We're putting a dedicated theatre room in our basement, and I believe another of these will be in the plans for the near future. The networking was easy to hook up, and my daughters love the ability to search YouTube and other apps natively to the TV. I love the full keyboard on the remote, so searching is much easier. For the price, it's hard to be the value of the Vizio.

We saw this set was on sale during the pre Super Bowl sale so we returned the VIZIO 65" 1080p set and purchased this set. While the 4K content is limited at this point, we decided to get this set for the extra $200 vs the 1080p set to position us to take advantage of 4K content when it becomes more available. This set has a dark slate frame while the 1080p set was silver and we like the darker frame color better.
Display:
We didn't notice any significant difference in picture quality between the Samsung set and the VIZIO set so we were not disappointed as the price point for the VIZIO is signicantly less than Samsung. The first thing you will need to go through is to optimize the screen settings to remove the soap opera effect, unless you like that sore of thing. There were several sites which have recommended settings to change. Most of it involved disabling the Smooth Motion Effect, etc. otherwise some pixelation was visible for fast sports action. Seems odd that you need to disable a feature that appears to be what is supposed to minimize that issue. DO NOT expect great quality viewing until you customize the picture settings as the default settings do not produce desired viewing quality. Also you can save each set of custom settings with names which allows you to optimize for movies, viewing during day vs. night, etc. and easily switch the display to obtain the desired settings for the type of viewing. This feature was not available in the SamSung set we had, maybe it is on the $3k+ price sets.
Remote:
The remote has an integrated keyboard on the back which is a nice feature and seems to work with most apps. The Samsung unit we had came with a remote that had a mouse like pointer on the screen which allowed you to more easily navigate without a keyboard. This feature was especially true when using the Multimedia app as you could point to a position in the video file and start playing from there while the VIZIO multimedia app/remote combination only allowed for fast forward 3X which takes a long time to get the point you left off when watching digital movies. The VIZIO multimedia app also only plays one video file at a time while the Samsung app allowed you to select many files to play. Hopefully VIZIO will add this feature as it requires you to grab the remote and switch to the next file when watching movies that are contained in multiple files.
Apps:
The VIZIO set has fewer apps available then the Samsung set but I would assume that there will be more available over time. The one good thing is we like the iHeartRadio app which isn't available on the Samsung set. The YouTube app is great, you can create an account and add playlists online and then access those playlists with the VIZIO app and play an entire set of music videos from your favorite artists. The only thing that would make this better is to be able to play the videos from the playlist in random order. The Plex app is there but at this time requires you to purchase a Plex Pass in order to use it. Our goal is to obtain a better interface for watching digital movie content on our DLNA server than the Multimedia app which is just OK as it has very minimal features. From what I understand Plex is supposed to provide a richer interface for that content so we will continue to pursue that option.

This TV doesn't cost as much as some of the other 4K lcd's available but does an excellent job for picture quality. Many friends of mine say they are waiting for more content to become available before buying a 4K TV. This unit upscales the regular HD content to 4K to give normal HD an even better look. Why wait when you can enjoy current content looking so clear now? I use it with an Xbox One running my cable box through the Xbox One. The Xbox One has no problem sending signals to it to turn off and on for me which I love not having to pick up multiple remotes to turn everything on or off. With the Xbox One I can even just tell it to turn on. Definitely buy this if you want to save money. This is a TV that does just as good or better than other 4K TV's.

I purchased this tv instead of the 55" model and I am sure glad I moved up. The picture on this is incredible, the app's are great, the remote is the best. I love the keyboard on the back of the remote, what a great feature.

My husband and I weren't really in the market for a new TV. But, shopping in our local Best Buy one day, we came across this TV on display and were very impressed not only by the picture, but by the price. So, on a whim, we bought it. We LOVE this TV!!! It's not given us a moment of trouble, and the picture is unbelievable...even though not every station we have broadcasts in 4K quality just yet. By the way, a Best Buy employee, (not the salesman we dealt with), made a comment that the TV wouldn't do us any good unless we subscribe to DirecTV...that is NOT true! Honestly, I believe he was trying to get us to sign up for satellite service. Anyways, we have digital cable through a local provider, and the picture is still phenomenal. Also, this TV was super easy to set up! Can't recommend it enough!

The 4K image is amazing, and while I don't even have a 4K source, the colors, and hyper fine detail really looks good on the 65" screen. I do notice the active dimming used to make deep blacks... especially during credits after a movie. It's pretty cool to see how it in action.

When compared to the Samsung, LG, Sony, Panasonic, this TV hands down had the sharpest picture of all the 4K TV's. The best part is that it happened to be a lot less money than the others. DONT LET THE LOWER PRICE FULL YOU!! . THIS TV IS AMAZING!!!
When put on my wall it looks so big it's just plain awesome. Trust me, you won't regret it.

I was hesitant in getting a Vizio as I've only owned Samsung TVs previously but this thing has been awesome especially at this price. Got it for $1350 on sale. UHD content from Amazon looks awesome. HD television programming looks awesome. Blu-rays look awesome. SD content looks pretty bad especially at this size, but its been very rare that I encounter non-HD content.
Have gotten a firmware update once already which didn't make a noticeable difference in the quality of the picture. Looked great before and looked good after.
The bezels feel real flimsy but nothing that I ever noticed aside from setting up the TV. They are thin and not noticeable.
This thing was about half the price of the Sony I wanted but I doubt the Sony is twice as good. I have no regrets whatsoever.

Hard to find a better value for a 65" UHD TV.
Pros: Picture quality is great for sports and movies, keyboard on remote is useful, firmware update apparently fixes prior issues (my set updated immediately), comes with lots of internet Apps-- some with 4K content, game mode improves latency for video games, sound quality is not bad at all, myriads of settings, no curve
Cons: Minor nits - Default color settings were not exactly to my taste, base is not adjustable so you need to be creative on a non-level surface, Apps settings never really indicate whether 4K mode is on, myriads of settings

This is a great 4k tv. A friend of mine said that I shouldn't buy a 4k tv yet because there is hardly any 4k content. Well let me tell you that the upscaling from the 1080p on this tv is unbelievable. I have never seen such a beautiful picture before on any tv. I am so happy I didn't listen to him. the clarity and colors are amazing. My 3 brothers were over to watch a baseball game on my tv, and they couldn't get over the picture.
we have never seen colors (uniforms) like that before. It was better than being at the game. Every program I watch is so clear and colorful I just keep telling myself what a great purchase this was.
