    This speaker was easy to connect and worked well but bass is to heavy and can't be adjusted.

      Hi Will, you can download the VIZIO SmartCast Mobile application. It will pair to the speaker and let you adjust additional features. You'll also then be able to use your phone as a remote. VIZIO

    Vizio app to configure the speaker for wifi was not responsive and painful to use. My unit would not turn off or would turn on and start streaming out of nowhere.

    This product is terrible. It took so long to figure out how to download the app and pair it to my phone. I was confused about the Wi-Fi pairing compared to Bluetooth pairing. I had to install a special app just to use it. I got a really great deal on it but it is a very low end Bluetooth speaker. Not at all what I was expecting. I returned it.

    This speaker is subpar at best this is not what I expected when I bought this. okay we all know the problems with the Google cast but after they dropped the price substantially as they did this product should still have amazing sound to justify even buying it but it doesn't it sounds just as good as a $19 Bluetooth speaker

    When to pick up after being two weeks late the box that it came in looked like something that you buy used at Goodwill it was faded and ripped on the edges when I mentioned it to the clerk she tried to find me another one but no luck it was a birthday gift but I was to embarrassed to give to someone “ SAD”.

    Speaker life is very poor. Called customer service and it is no longer available, and battery cannot be replaced.

    I already wasted time and money on this...don’t waste yours. It’s a good looking big paperweight though. SmartCast? Dumbcast or better yet, Stupidcast should have been more appropriate.

    Love it other than the fact it won't hold a charge. I have to keep it on the charger in order to listen to it! I wouldn't mind having best buy sending me a new one to fix the problem.

    VIZIO has done something amazing with this product. The sound quality is extremely good (must have a subwoofer) and it will fill a large room with sound! I was absolutely blown away by the loudness and clarity and bass from the unit. Set up was a little tricky but once on the network and in Quick Start Mode the device is solid. The unit supports Google Cast and Bluetooth. Battery life is very good. Had it outside for more than 6 hours and i had plenty of juice left. VIZIO SMartCast is OK but I used it only for set up and some minor settings adjustment (EQ). From there you can use Pandora, iHeartRadio, Google Music etc and all of the apps find the unit on the network (dont have to use the proprietary app like Sonos). I'll likely buy my wife one for Xmas so we can group them and get simultaneous audio across our downstairs (or inside and outside since they can be moved). Product has some rough edges but if you want VERY high quality audio from the Internet and the ability to group multiple units together, this is the best product on the market.

    I bought two of these speakers and trying to connect them together through the Google Home app was terrible. And initial setup for both speakers was also pretty terrible through Vizio's SmartCast app. You also can't play music through more than one speaker if it's connected to Bluetooth. I might return these. They have some serious work to do getting these better integrated, because this setup is going to be gruesome for non tech-savvy people.

    I actually have two of these. Got one back when it first released and another this week with it being dirt cheap. They sound great, especially when played over Wi-Fi and synced together. The gestures (tap, swipe, rotate) are very initiative. The build quality is good as well. The app definitely needs some work, but you don't really need to use it, just set it up and then use the cast icon on your phone or computer. For msrp there are better options, but if you can catch it on sale, get it.

    What connectivity?

    Bad bad BAD. Heed the warnings about connectivity issues. Another tech saavy user frustrated beyond reason trying to get these to reliably maintain a connection to my Wifi. Purchased 2 of these to use around the house. After an acceptably clunky initial setup (if I had only known then how many more times I'd go through that setup process in the vizio app... ), they worked out of the box for about half hour each. Then the music stopped. What if I independently rename my 2.4 and 5 ghz networks? Nope. What if DHCP is to blame, I can assign static IP addresses? Nope. Maybe they'll work with my old router? Nope. What if I factory reset and try the same thing over and over again (many more times than I'm proud to admit)? Nope nope nope. The truly tragic part is that these speakers are otherwise amazing. They're sonically brilliant relative to Sonos play 1s, surprisingly solidly built, visually striking and potentially seriously practical. And all of that's to say nothing of the amazing price point. Too bad that they JUST DON'T WORK.

We've also released updates for the Crave Speakers to improve their connectivity.     I was thrilled by the bargain basement price. Even more so upon opening the box and seeing the build quality and then hearing the sound quality. Outstanding! But then it started. The sound would drop out. Not sure if the unit is buffering or simply losing the wireless connection, but that makes this speaker a fail. I have other wireless speakers (both Google and Amazon) that never drop, so I can only assume it's this speaker. It has the latest firmware so I'm calling it a day and returning it. I'm sure it would work great as a portable bluetooth speaker so I'm still giving it three stars. But as a Google Chromecast speaker, two stars at best.

    !!! WARNING !!! If you are planning on using Google Cast I wouldn't buy these speakers until Vizio straightens out the problems they have. I purchased three of them spending almost $700 and they don't work properly. I have installed each device three times though their app and even called customer support. They instructed me to reset each device, which I did and the Google Cast feature worked for maybe five minutes. The initial problem I had with these speakers is that they would simply disappear from the device list on Google Cast and any groups they were added to. They also stopped responding to Vizio's clunky and poorly reviewed app. I reinstalled each device a total of three times only to have the same problem. Now, after resetting each of them and re-pairing them, the speakers don't connect at all even though the app and Google Cast show they are connected. I'm technologically savvy and after multiple frustrating attempts and coming at the situation from every available angle I've given up. I tried Bluetooth and it worked fine; however, you can only pair with one speaker. The speakers do sound great and are well built; I just wish they actually worked like they were supposed to.

      Hi Guyver, I wanted to take a moment and update our response to your review. Since your initial review, we've updated the software on our Crave Speakers, and improved the VIZIO SmartCast Mobile application to make setup simpler. The updates also improved your ability to control the speakers from your Smart Phone or Tablet. Since the speakers will automatically download the firmware when connected to the internet, they've likely already downloaded the most recent version.

      I also noticed that you mentioned wanting to play audio through more than 1 speaker at a time. VIZIO Crave Speakers use Google Chromecast Technology, and you can download the Google Home App to set up a 'Group' of speakers. This will let you cast to multiple Google Chromecast speakers at once- to fill your entire home with audio. VIZIO
