This fan is attractive and well made. It is somewhat heavy so it stays where it is put. It does circulate the air well and does keep our living room cool. It does allow for vertical angling the direction of the air. I am happy with this purchase.

I love the classic look of the fan, the size is good and the airflow quality is very good. I owned a Vornado heater for many years that has worked so well, so when I saw a Vornado fan, I didn't hesitate to purchase.

great fan, wish it moved side to side on its own but still solid, moves air way better than my dyson tower fan that was $250 more than this.

This is the best fan I've ever owned. It is quiet and Powerful you can adjust it up or down. You won't find a nicer-looking fan.

Baffled by these good reviews. This fan is super loud and you'll never actually feel a breeze unless you're 2 feet or less in front of the fan even if on full power. It's frustrating to get an angle where you'll actually feel anything. Don't let a fancy air flow graphic fool you, you won't feel anything at all. It looks good, that's about it.

The Vornado brand is simply exceptional, I now have three of them for various rooms in my non-a/c home -- the stunning Sr. Chrome, the Small Chrome, and the matte black/gold Alchemy. Going on 8 years, and these workhorse fans circulates a strong breeze, so that even when I aim it upward, as opposed to towards me directly, the circulating force pushes air so that I feel it even down to my toes. Anyone reporting otherwise got a defective unit, and should immediately reach out for an exchange. I was moved to write this review so many years later because one of them, the little chrome guy, went out on me. But changing the fuse at the plug fixed it right up :)
