Bought this phone as a replacement. Extemely easy setup. Very clear sound on both the speaker and handset. Volume control is easy to adjust. Worth the extra money over the lower priced VTech 5.8. No need to transfer a call on this phone.

Good, Reliable Phone

I like that the handset is backlit so it's easy to use in low or no light conditions. The one thing I don't like is that there's no battery in the answering machine portion. So when the power goes out, you have to redo all the settings for the time, answering machine, etc.

My dad bought me this set since my other phone was bad and wouldnt hold a charge. I have had it for a week and love them. I love the backlit and big display. I especially love the clear speakerphone on the phone and you dont have to talk into the base. For the money its great.

This phone was a better value compared to other phones out there. Has a good volume range so that you can hear the other caller better. Excellent voicemail indicator (especially if your voicemail is through your own phone company). Can hold alot of caller id's and speed dial is good.
Battery lasts for a long time and doesn't need to be charged frequenty like most cordless phones.
Speaker works good when you don't want to hold the phone to the ear..other caller can hear clearly.
Only bad thing is that during terrible storms. ....the security block doesn't work well. Other callers can get into the frequency. On clear days ...security feature is great.

Should have followed my instincts

I chose this system over the slightly more expensive name brands thinking it should be OK. Everything was fine until one my handsets went dead. I followed the trouble shooting instructions and it is still dead. I live in Barbados and Vtech informed me that I was out of luck as far as warranty repairs. I must reside in the US or Canada. Everything is expensive here so I bought the phone stateside trying to save money. It's not all bad, the other handset works perfectly.

Don't Bother

I did my research and it was between this and the panasonic model which had a few more features but mostly they were comparable. This one was less expensive so I decided on it. I have had nothing but problems since I bought it! The clarity is terrible, it doesnt allow you to pick up another hand set without hanging up, the static of this phone is annoying with both the hand and headset and it says it had 5 hours of talk time when fully charged...NOT TRUE! I was dropped from a call three times in 30 minutes on two different handsets and it doesn't even have a warning that you will be cut off it just hangs up. My best advice, Dont Bother...spend a little extra and get a better product. This ones going back and Im getting the panasonic.

I use this phone daily as I typically work from my home. The sound quality is incredible. I use my own noise cancelling headset, and the quality is awesome. I love the phone.
