I enjoyed from the beginning, Joaquin Phoenix's voice in his singing, especially in the famous jail scene; quite motivating. This movie did show the troubles and true facts that Jonny Cash went through in his career. I also want to mention the duration of the film, which is quite long, but it really doesn't feel that way due to how the story develops.

The version I was sent differs from the version pictured: the cover art is slightly different reflecting a more noticeable "Blu-Ray + Digital Code" silver banner on top. This more importantly means that the digital code inside is a newer Movies Anywhere code, not an older FoxRedeem.com UV/iTunes code (which is the kind that came with the cover pictured.) iTunes redemption is notably ideal since you can free 4K digital upgrades if movies ever get the 4K treatment, so disappointing but not something that matters to most people out there who just want the Blu-Ray.

I bought this for my dad because he is a huge Johnny Cash fan. He loved the movie.

The rise of country music legend Johnny Cash (Joaquin Phoenix) begins with his days as a boy growing up on the family farm, where he struggles under the scorn of his father (Robert Patrick). As the years pass, Cash ends up in Memphis, Tenn., with his wife, Vivian (Ginnifer Goodwin), and breaks into the music scene after finding his trademark sound. While on tour, Cash meets the love of his life, singer June Carter (Reese Witherspoon), but Cash's volatile lifestyle threatens to keep them apart.

When I first saw this movie I was amazed that it took me years to watch it. I love bio-graphic movies and I also like them when they are great. The two main actors in this movie do a great job emulating the musicians attitudes and music. This movie takes you on a roller coaster of emotions and joy, but most of all it will leave you satisfied that the director and the writers made a fantastic movie. I would give this movie a 7.5 out of 10 and I implore you to go out and buy it! (Movie includes Digital Copy/Ultraviolet)

This is my first time I ever watch this movie and being a true story of this famous artist, it’s amazing to know he became one of the greatest person in music. I totally enjoy it and recommend it to anyone.

Though this is the cheaper non blu ray edition of movie you can't go wrong for the price. You won't find it for more than $5 and though it does not have a million cool behind the scenes features, it has enough and with a movie this good who cares. If you are looking for the movie, and don't need it on every device in the world, here it is. The end.

Wife and I went to see this movie at a theater because Wife wanted to. As it turned out, I really enjoyed the movie and I'm the one who bought the Blu-ray disc! Jacquine Phoenix (don't know if I spelled his first name right) and Reese Witherspoon were great in this movie. Especially Phoenix. You would have sworn that was Johnny Cash in the film. And what made it even more special was that both Reese and Phoenix actually sang all the songs in the movie. Definitely worth watching.
