Michael douglas is great in this. It's a very entertaining film.

A total disappointment for a so-called special edition, I have seen older movies with better picture quality for a blu-ray. Had I known it looks this bad I wouldn't have bought it.

Thumbs down on this !!!! Didn't hold my attention , thought well Douglas was in it so it had to be good!!!! I was wrong!

An okay movie, but not as good as I thought it would be.

I love this movie so I double dipped and bought this version in the hopes of better picture quality. The original Blu Ray was one of the worst I had ever seen in the format. This version is better. I'm no expert, but the first thing you will notice is more grain. I suspect the first Blu Ray had been digitally fixed and this flattened out the picture. This version has better color, somewhat more picture clarity, and they bumped up the bit rate. Overall it looks like every 80's movie. They just haven't aged as well as the older ones for some reason. If you don't have this movie in you're collection, this is the version to get. If you already have it, you must decide if it's worth it to you to upgrade.

I purchased the original "Wall Street" in anticipation of the forthcoming "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps". The original was a great movie in its time. It still is, although now it seems somewhat dated. For example, back then a takeover bid in the millions was a lot of money; today takeover bids are in the billions of dollars. That being said, the principles are the same. Insider trading is still illegal (unless one gets away with it), and inside knowledge can do wonders for making a person appear to be more intelligent than he really is. This is still a classic that everyone who plans on seeing "Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" should see first. If nothing else, it is amazing to see how much older Gordon Gecko (Michael Douglas) is. It's as though being in prison has really aged him, with no special make-up required to get Douglas to look older. One of the best movies on the subject of Wall Street and the greed that exists there.

I have loved this movie since I first saw it like 10 years ago. I have rented it time and time again but for some reason never bought it. Now I am glad I waited. The Special Edition comes with a 2nd disc with some good extras. Plus when I picked it up this week it came with a free business card case. I love the free give aways. If you have never seen this movie, it is Charlie Sheen and Michael Douglas at their best. Great acting overall. Intriguing plot and story with a slight Dark overtone. I have seen it so many time but still love watching it. As Gordon Gekko would say "Greed is Good" and you should be greedy and pick this up for yourself. Must Own for your Collection!

Great classic movie with priceless references that could be taken from the movie. Can never get enough of this. Douglas is great and Sheen is a genius. The price was great but I dont think there is a big difference from the DVD vs B Ray.

Although I think the MSRP on this movie is a little high for a catalog title, I have to say that it is a very good movie with a decent transfer.

I was a little bored in the middle. I would have preferred if they showed a small scene after Gecko arrived in prison.

Even though this movie is so old, it really does shine a light on the Greed of wall street.

Classic movie on the blu ray format. If you love the stock market, this is a must own.

Michael Douglas gives one of his best performances and portrays the epitomy of what you would expect of a typical slimy stock swindler. Overall, I'm not a huge fan of this picture, but there's plenty of bonus material on this dvd for those who are.
