This UHD was a replacement for my old DVD. I had recently watched the DVD and decided it was time for an upgrade. The uptick in resolution was very noticeable and the soundtrack was more robust.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE. I watched it twice in the theaters and own the bluray. BUT then i saw this 4K STEELBOOK. WOW! The steelbook is beautiful and the 4K picture and sound is AMAZING. I am so glad i added this to my collection.

This movie stars Tom Cruise. It is a new take on the classic War of the Worlds story from Orson Wells. The 4k HDR format looks and sounds great. It is for all ages. If you like sci-fi movies give this one a look.

This is the definitive edition of War of the Worlds. The visuals have never looked better and with Atmos, the sound is leaps and bound better than the standard bluray. A must own for sci-fi fans and those who love the classic works of Spielberg.

A guilty pleasure Tom Cruise movie. The alien ships are freaky and the horn sounds they make are haunting. Although it’s not the greatest movie story wise you know Spielberg rarely disappoints. And we all know you can’t deny a Tim Robbins cameo.

almost the exact same steel book that the previous release had. This one includes the 4K Blu-ray however! I have a soft spot for this movie it's visually stunning and I always enjoy watching it. One of Spielberg's best.

The 2005 classic gets an excellent blu-ray release, with awesome A/V and supplemental features. The steelbook is cool, but this does not come with a digital HD code as Best Buy advertises it to do. That was the only reason I purchased the disc. Still, classic movie, quality presentation. Worth it.

This is the same price as the non-steelbook version on Amazon. Had to buy something else to qualify for free shipping though. Great movie. Would have gave it 5 stars but it has no digital code and had a few minor dings in the steelbook.

Good sci-fi flick, that's worth a watch for sure..The acting was pretty good and the plot was just the average alien invasion...Good special effects and soundtrack..Picture quality is decent, but nothing to brag about...Very nice looking steelbook with interior artwork as well.

Great 4k I've always enjoyed this remake myself. It go some great sound for the home theater system to hit hard. The picture looks great in 4k especially with the grain in the film. Definitely a must buy for me.

One of my favorite "comfort" movies. I am always thrilled by this ride. This was already a great looking Blu-ray, and the UHD presentation is no let down taking things to the next level. Get this and let it entertain you!

Has always been a great watch since released in 2005. Love the movie. My review is based on audio/video quality. Finally got around to purchasing the 4k based on all reviews of the atmos being stellar. IMO it's just ok. Dated surround and channel editing. Center dialogue not much clarity. Very flat and warm, but still audible. Bass has been reviewed as hard hitting but I found it just slightly above average. The movie does get loud though. Video quality shows it's age as well. Heavy film grain doesn't allow any 4k clarity to come through. Just doesn't seem "remastered" for 4k. If you have the bluray, then this is not a must own imo.

The 4K remaster for this has outstanding picture quality but the atmos was not as punchy bass wise as the blu-ray version. Once I cranked up my subwoofer I was able to feel the lightning strikes the way the were supposed to feel.

This a great sci-fi movie, where humanity is terribly decimated. But the script, action, and everything else fires in all cylinders! The 1080p Bluray is extremely grainy. Here’s hoping they scrub the image clean for the soon to be released 4K Bluray release!

Its a hero's tale about a dad with enough patience to deal with his ridiculous kids without leaving them behind somewhere, also aliens visit but have no patience for the kids and leave.

Definitely better than the original blu-ray that I own, picture is sharper, color saturation better (D vision), more vibrant, more detail. Has the same non-atoms soundtrack but has more "punch" than on the blu-ray.

Was not into remakes but this one was great. Tom Cruise has not done to many flops. Watched it twice already and it never did not get old seeing it again. This a a great remake.

This review is for the 4k transfer which is outstanding. Was skeptical at first about upgrading due to how the film was shot but the HDR really makes a huge difference. Definitely worth the upgrade.

Very cool design on the steelbook. Got rid of my older blue plastic case version, to make room for this one! Would have been nice to see an anniversary edition or some new extras thought. Cool design, but the"painting" or lamination on this steelbook seems a little delicate on scratches and denting.

War of the world's looked like a newly shot movie with 4k HDR upgrade. Dolby atmosphere had me feeling like I was in the movie. Definitely a must own for movie collectors. Steelbook had nice artwork.
