ANTI-THEFT KIT DEGRADES NOGHT VISION!!

ATTENTION: The anti-theft kit will degrade the night vision!! I got my cameras first and then the anti-theft kits. I’m decided to install the cameras anyway first. That first night one of cameras detected some raccoons walking around at night and everything looked normal on the night vision. The following day, I installed the anti-theft kits. When night time came, I noticed the night vision seemed foggy when compared to the night before. I did research on Reddit and it turns out the hood over the camera from the kit is causing the glare as light reflects back down to the camera lens! Definitely poor design as that hood is not even needed!!!
HOW TO FIX IT: You can paint the inside of the kit all black to correct it. Works great like that, but definitely something the manufacturer should have done.

Theft deterrent!

Helps and may deter theft. I am sure this product may be susceptible to more theft once people are aware of the camera being attached by a strong magnet only. In my opinion the cable should be a heavier gauge.

I think it is a great accessory for the camera. It fits perfectly, and keeps the camera from falling off its magnetic base in case of vandalism

The product was simple to install. It gave me some piece of mind that someone could not just knock my camera away from its magnetic field holding it in place.
