This mount achieves its states purpose, to angle the doorbell more than the stock wedge. It can be installed over the stock wedge. It is not as sturdy as the wedge—would only recommend if the stock does not give you the right angle.

This was really useful for mounting our doorbell on our house. It's great that you can adjust it to get the right angle since our house is sort of at a weird angle in comparison to the street.
