We have a ring doorbell on the gate to our driveway, about 20 yards from the house. The Wi-Fi reaches OK, but there is no electricity up there. This device does a very good job of keeping the battery charged. Although it does not have full sun all day, it will charge the battery to a point that it lasts three times as long. I recommend putting it in full sun if you can. I would give it a fifth star if it had just a little bit larger collectors.

Just be sure it gets direct sunlight at some time during the day.

I would not recommend for it does not easily mount together with doorbell.

Easy to install solar charger for the ring doorbell. Works pretty well.

Outstanding for 36 hours then died. Technical support really angered (pixxxxxed) me by asking scripted questions and ignoring it worked flawlessly for 36 hours. Then it disappeared as far as Ring doorbell was concerned. They wanted pictures.

One thing I can say, the installation was great. As far as the results, it was not what I expected. Ring Doorbell health check stated that it was “not establish”. It was not trickle charging the Ring Doorbell. I have full sunlight all afternoon until sunset. I’ll wait and see what happens that next few weeks.

RING now SNAPS on, like I always wished it would...and never did! The Wasserstein solar base installs super easily. Just remove the ring front cover, battery and the four mounting screws that melt your rain. Put the Wasserstein solar base in exactly the same position; Mounting screws fit perfectly. Eyepatch the power cable from the Wasserstein to the back of the ring, with screws provided. Then use the provided short screws from Wasserstein to mount the ring on the solar base. Replace the battery and cover; DONE! Now, be thrilled with the risk operation of your ring doorbell. With the washer stone solar base it looks great and works even better. What’s not to love? Get yours now!

It doesn’t keep the battery charge you have to turn off your camera for at least 12 hours to try to charge a little bit

Came in handy. The less you use it the better the use. Sometimes the video skips because it’s is processing too quickly. Much better for residential area over apartment/condo.

Very disappointed. Do not charge at all. Waste of money. Possibly defective but will never buy again. I will return it.

This solar panel takes about 5 hours to charge 2% of the battery- so you are constantly taking the battery Out to re-charge it.... Rediculous Not worth the money

Does not work with all the RING units. Sold to someone else because it was out of the return policy.
