Customers are saying

Customers have good things to say about the gameplay, story, hacking mechanics, and open world of Watch Dogs. Many also appreciate the game's side missions and the price point for a pre-owned copy. However, some customers find the driving mechanics and controls challenging, while others have concerns about the level of violence depicted. Overall, the positive feedback on the core gameplay elements outweighs the negative comments on specific aspects.

Purchased Watch Dogs while it was on sale for $20. Then took another month to play it, I will say this game is pretty long I have yet to do all the side missions and multiplayer. I was totally immeresed into the story of Aiden, his sister and nephew. The characters were beleivable and very intrigueing, the gameplay is quite similiar to GTA like everyone says but the phone hacking and being able to control the city just from a cellphone is badass. Pick this up if you like 3rd person GTA style gameplay with a great twist on it. Great campaign and good mechanics with the use of a cellphone.

First off, I do have to say that I worked on the XBOX One version of this game, so my review might be a bit biased! One thing I truly love about WD is the openness of it. Chicago feels alive. And the fact you can hack a lot of people with very little repercussions (except for Blume...)... Why did one of WD code monkeys get the XBOX One version and not the PS4 or PC version? Besides the obvious fact that I worked on this one, there are a lot less issues with the XBOX One version than the PS4. As for PC, I feel the XBOX One version stands up to them all when played on a TV with controller in hand...

I really like the graphics. It has a great story line. The hacking in the game is fun and it helps out to take down the enemies and to get away from the cops.

This game is a lot of fun. It seemed to start fairly slow for me and it took me a while to get into the game. The world is absolutely huge and expansive. Lots and lots of side missions. (Those can get frustrating especially if you get hacked while trying to do something else.) No real complaints though. It's a new kind of gameplay that I have seen in s huge release before.

If you enjoy games like GTA or Sleeping Dogs, chances are you'll like this game. It was extremely over-hyped by E3 and the gaming media, so don't imagine its going to be the best game in 10 years or anything. There is plenty of content, at least 40+ hours or more, but the majority of that is extremely repetative side missions with little story or overall direction.

This is a good game, but I think expectation were too high coming out of E3 a few years ago. It is hard to live up to the open world brilliance of GTA V but they did a great job with Chicago. I think there are room for improvements across the board, but overall it is a good game and comes at a good time for people who own an X1 and PS4 looking for games.

Watchdogs is a good debut for what will no doubt be a continuing Ubisoft series. The game introduces some great new mechanics with the use of "hacking" giving you a ton of ways to complete a mission. I'm about 20 hours in and having a good time with the game - if you enjoy GTA or other open world style games, you should give Watchdogs a shot.

Watch Dogs is an amazing game with one of the best story/campaign modes in all video games. The story, while a little confusing at first, draws you in with multiple high speed races and hacking jobs with different personality people in the game. The game leads to a stunning conclusion that one would not guess in the beginning. If I had to give the game a con, it would be the easiness of the game until the last mission, when the difficultly ramps up. BUY THIS GAME!

Watchd Dogs is a great game. The city of Chicago looks great and both the XB1 and PS4 versions have steller graphics. The gameplay is satisfying and fun. Controls could be a little tighter and I have seen my fair share of bugs. MP looks great but ihas been pretty laggy since release day.

Great game overall. Lots to do and plenty of variation to keep things fresh. Lots of new ideas in the multilayer realm. The visuals are stunning and there are no load times for crossing into different sections of the city like in other games. It's all one giant seemless city to play in.

If you like open world free roaming games this is a good one. It has the added experience of a computerized world along with the old fashioned run and gun style. There are a lot of mini games inside the storyline gameplay and you can achieve goals from all different avenues.

I haven't written a game review in years but Watch Dogs has made me change my mind. I bought this game along with the Xbox One Titanfall Bundle. Specifically waited to get my Xbox One until this game was released. So far I am very impressed with the game. I've probably put about 14 hours into the game so far. The story mode so far is phenomenal. I am not one who usually cares to much about the story but this one definitely is keeping me on the edge of my seat. Watch Dogs provides varies types of missions that are extremely fun and definitely add some adventure with hacking various obstacles to get past cop chases or to hack innocent pedestrians to get yourself more money. The map is very big (not GTA V big) but provides many side missions, mini games, and adventures. My big downside is that it's not like Assassins Creed so you can't walk on walls and get on top of every roof but it makes the game more "realistic". They also make the game interesting when you are about to start some missions you can "randomly" be hacked by someone online. This is very fun to hunt people down and keeps the game from being repetitive and just doing the campaign missions in a few days. I would suggest this game to any next gen console users (because we don't have very many of them). This definitely gives Ubisoft a great franchise to make more titles in the future. Guaranteed you won't find any game like this. The hacking, random online games, story mode, and great graphics will keep you busy and entertained.

I bought this game after watching the various game play videos on the web. I liked how the game delivered as promised, where I could roam about anywhere I wanted, be a stealthy hero figure (somewhat like Metal Gear Solid) rather than being an all-outs crazy gunman (although you can also go crazy as well with the grenade launcher and the spider robot), and not have to have crazy trigger reflexes to win the game. But one thing I didn't anticipate is how I had to control myself so as not to become the "antichrist" or some other level of criminal scum. I had to watch how I drove, aim my assault weapons carefully, and place my explosives just right. I had to control my tactics and be nice to the innocent bystanders. (Again, you can go all crazy and be the worst mass murderer in the game if you'd like). Overall a fun and engaging game, but it's too much like the real world. :-)

    Over Hyped

I went in knowing this game was being over hyped. This game doesn't define the new consoles. It could never live up to all the hype that was built around the launch of this game. With that being said it is a really good game. Its an open world sandbox style game that does have new features and game play that other games do not have. Mulitplayer is a bit different in the way you enter into multiplayer then most games but that being said it is a new approach and I commend them on trying something new and after you get used to the settings and options it is addictive. But single player is where it is at of course. The amount of random events that you run across are very entertaining. If you are a fan of sandbox/open world games then you should go ahead and give Watchdogs a go, you will not be disapointed as long as you go in with reasonable expectations

I think this game needs to be more polished. Driving is perry bad. Controls are very different from what you would think. The hacking elements are cool and the mobile app game is pretty fun.

Have not begun playing this game yet but from personal references I hear the game play is really good, similar to GTA but with the unique twist of the hacking perspective which is what intrigued me to the purchase.

Super fun game, love that it takes place in my home town Chicago, it's like Gta but a whole lot more fun, hacking aspect adds another dimension to the game. Only played a few hours, can't wait to get back in the game.

Ok so I have read a lot of mixed reviews about this game. And I definitely understand the issues with the driving and the sidequest being repetitive but I must say I still find things to like in this game. I like sandbox games so its definitely got that going for it and the whole hacking thing is a nice little nuance (but gets a bit stale with the same car crashes). The online play gives a little added playability, but this game is more compelling to play when its only $20.
