This item was very easy to install. We have very bad water in our city, but the water that has run through this filter has been clean and clear. We are thankful to have it.

This filter is so easy to install. Just pop the old one out and pop the new one in. The only thing, is the price. It would be nice if they were less expensive, especially since they want you to replace them every 6 months.

I've always replaced these filters every 6 months since purchasing my LG fridge a few years ago. A recent episode of Dr Oz supports with evidence that these filters were better at filtration than many others, like the ones you put on your water faucet. who knows what it actually does or if its in any way worth buying, if you dont drink water from your refrigerator its probably not worth buying these replacements unless you have terrible water in your area.

Our LG refrigerator told my wife and I, via the info on the front panel, the 6 month replacement time was approaching and the water filter needed to be replaced. The reminder is a good thing because normally that isn't something we think about. We also know Best Buy has no input as to the price of this filter, I feel it is a bit pricey seeing it has to be replaced twice a year. Being able to purchase it at a Best Buy store is very convenient and eliminates having to go on line to LG order it plus more than likely pay shipping and have to wait till it arrives.

I HAVE FOUND THAT THE WATER FILTER DESIGNED FOR LG REFRIGERATORS PERFORMS BETTER THAN THE AFTER MARKET ONES THAT YOU CAN BUY ON THE INTERNET. THE PRICE IS GOOD AT BEST BUY AND I CAN GET ONE SAME DAY RATHER THAN ORDERING IT.

We have failed to replace our filter on a timely basis and discovered that the older bigger filter has been replaced with a smaller one. Don't return it....it WILL fit! Just check the model number of your refrigerator and the filter.
