I tried a brand from Home Depot because they were out of the Samsung. It was really hard to install and water was spilling out. I cleaned the water put the old filter back. I picked this up from Best Buy and had no issues with installation. The water tastes and smells better it definitely does the job.

Awesome filters. Use them to filter out chemicals from tap water and they work great. The first time you install it, there may be some air inside and cause the water to not dispense in a steady stream. Also, over time, the water may dispense slower if you have hard water. Directions say to turn off water supply to your fridge prior to replacing the filter. This is unnecessary. Only reason you might need to turn off water supply is if your water pressure is too high and the filter is too tight. Simply twist, pull and replace. Lastly, make sure to verify that these work with your fridge as Samsung makes a couple different types of filters.

When you want to replace your old filter, remove it & take a picture to compare the part number. Compare the model/part number online with your picture. This is to make sure you are ordering the same part for your refrigerator. Just plug the replacement filter and fits nicely. If you need how to install, just google it & youtube will guide you how to uninstall & install back your filter. Some. video is not the same model as yours but it is similar how to uncrew the filter.

I have my fridge since 2017…still like new!!! This is a good product to buy every 3 to 6 months to maintain it :)
