Bought this as an upgrade from the 60GB drive on my Playstation 3. Huge increase in capacity, no compatibility issues, and the drive performs really well.

This HDD was purchased to replace the much lower capacity drive in my PS3 to allow for more storage and to allow more games to remain installed. The drive is quiet, performs well, and doesn't overheat the system. I highly recommend using this WD 1TB drive if you're considering swapping out the smaller stock PS3 hard drive.

Installed this unit to a Vaio laptop and once I figured out how to use the recovery discs, it has not skipped a beast. I am no hard drive expert and I don't want to be and this unit has done exactly what I was hoping. Easy to install; Easy to program/install software; all is well in my laptop world! Note that I am using unit for a security camera system so reliability is key...so far so good!

My MacBook Pro fell & was damaged beyond repair that my OS couldn't be found on startup. I reviewed my options and decided my best course of action was to replace my internal HDD. I went to my local Best Buy to Locate a cheap but ample replacement and found this gem. After installation I was surprised at how fast it worked to be aging technology. My only regret about this purchase is how loudly it performs when reading/writing files. I would recommend to someone who needs a inexpensive replacement, but not quite ready to make the leap towards SSD.

I used this hard drive in a home camera security system hub. Its works flawlessly...installed in a snap, and without issue. I would recommend this product if in need of a hard drive.

Had it for a month so far, no issues with it. Used it to upgrade my old ps4, because I was tired of deleting one of the 3 games I had room for, everytime one of them needed an update. Easy and fast to install drivers and install in ps4. Would definitely recommend.

PS4 hard drive died. (Blue line of death). PS4 would not boot up. Just kept going to sleep. I did a simple swap out of hard drives per the advice of a very helpful Best Buy associate. Great advice and simple procedure. Only $50 and my PS4 has a 2nd life.

This is far from my first WD hard drive. I replaced my DVD player with an extra HD storage bay so I could install an 250 GB SSD in place of my regular hard drive, and then have this 1TB for additional storage (I do a lot of digital photography, and that eats up HD space). My 6 year old Dell XPS is now as fast as any new computer out there, and has 2 to 3 times the storage.

I purchased this for an upgrade for my ps4. Slides in nice and easy. This thing runs just a tad faster than the ps4 stock hard drive. The down size is with any hard drive is once its formatted you loss about 40gigs right off the bat. other than this its that perfect ahrd drive for size and price.

Purchases as external storage for Playstation 4. Works flawlessly out of the box. Faster than the built in storage is just a bonus! Works so well I'll be purchasing another soon as a tertiary hard drive for my PCs. (IT professional! If it fits my high standard for hardware, then it will handle anything you can throw its way!

My laptop is over 5 years old and I took it to Geek Squad who recommended that replacing the drive would make my laptop run faster and eliminate the problems I am having with it. I'm picking my laptop up tomorrow and I'm sure this purchase of the internal drive will solve my issues.

this was a replacement HD for a laptop with Win 8.1 . was a flawless install and upgraded to windows 10. spent longer trying to find win 8 serial number. gave up and installed win 10. it appears the serial number is on the bios so I got the free upgrade. The hd was faster than the stock drive. great price.

I purchased this primarily to expand the storage on my PS4. Not only was this easy to install and cost effective, it doubled the memory I had for games, saves, and downloads. I couldn't be happier, although some times I do wish I paid extra for the 2TB version.
