Best brand, price, warranty, and performance... Best Buy! The price match policy is outstanding as well. I have only bought a non-WD drive a few times over many years, with a few failed drives resulting. That has never happened with my rock-solid WD drives!

There are several models with this capacity size sold at Best Buy. The sales rep, when I pointed out the error on their display, sold this model to me at the sale price ($100 cheaper) even though his computer said a different amount. A plus towards shopping at Best Buy. It was rather easy to install this hard drive and the directions are rather simple. The time consuming part was only using the recovery disks to restore my computer. Great value for the price.

This is a quiet, fast and an easy install! I waited until the price was right and Best Buy did just that.

I was hoping for a little better speed from this drive. My previous drive was a Sata-II WD Caviar Black 1TB and I replaced it with this drive. The system now shows the drive is a Sata-III, so had hoped it would've been faster. Not really noticing much speed increase. It's also a little noisier than the original drive in my Sony all-in-one touchscreen. Not real bad, but my kids say sometimes the computer sounds like it's making popcorn! :)

GREAT HARDRIVE AND EASY TO INSTALL - USED FOR BUSINESS IN AN EXISTING DELL COMPUTER

We had a hard drive failure and had to replace it with a new hard drive. This particular one is an elite version hard drive and one that has all the characteristics of a robust hard drive--we hope.

This hard drive has been the best hard drive I have bought for the use of my storage. I have bought the green drives but they do not keep up with my storage and they lose items.

I installed this drive to replace a defective unit. BIOS recognized it without any problems. Performance was very good for a standard HDD and the price was right.

I needed a larger hard drive for a game drive. The drive was very easy to setup and transfer my old files to. The capacity of the drive allowed me to have all my programs installed and I had some room to spare.

Super easy to install and start using. Never worked inside a computer before but had no problems plugging this in. Works great.

I would recommend this drive for anyone that wants to install a hard drive without worrying about disk failure.

Overall, an excellent HDD for the money if you're interested in performance for the long haul.

I had been using cheap storage hard drives and determined I needed a performance one for games and high-demand applications. This drive was on sale, but was still up there in price. It also happened to be the only performance-marketed drive on the shelves, so I gave it a whirl. It ended up more than doubling the write performance of my data drive and I had no problems setting it up. Unfortunately since it's an older model, its 5-year warranty was down a year already. WD has been one of the most reliable drive manufacturers I've seen, so I am happy with this purchase.

This drive was a good replacement/upgrade in size. So far so good.

They work great, installed and started working the first time with no issues.

I needed to add a hard drive to my system and needed 7200 rpm with 32M cache minimum. The description says performance drive but didn't include the rpm spec so I was not able to order the drive online. This was after already ordering the desktop drive online only to find out on pickup that it was only 5400 rpm and not suitable. Both the manufacturer and best buy should put this information in the description of the product.

Great drive speedy for hard drive doubled my storage. Thought about a SSD but didn't want to put that much money into a four-year-old computer This is a great option to upgrade a computer that is older but still current as far as processor and RAM
