I bought this WD external hard drive for backup. Found out that Quickbooks doesn't keep a copy of your company file in the computer, only 1 copy, which it calls backup. When old hard drive failed, entire accounting program with several years of accounting data was lost. Hope this will eliminate that.

I have purchased 3 nas/usb drives from the WD line over the last 15 years. All are still alive. Testimony to their quality and endurance. I expect nothing less of this drive. It was purchased as an off-system backup for my weekly backup strategy and has worked flawlessly so far. Good speed.

Bought this for my kid who makes YouTube videos since I have one as well and it’s perfect for what I need.

This drive is very easy to use. I did not install any of the software that came with it. I just plugged it in, mapped it to a drive letter and pointed dropbox to it. Very easy.Solved my probem of dropbox taking up all my local disk space. I did this on 3 different computers all sharing the same dropbox.

I bought this because they were sold out of Xbox one specific harddrives. It functions perfectly. Just plug in, start up Xbox and it’ll ask if you want to format for Xbox or as an external HD. Select for Xbox one and your good. Please note once formatted you can’t use this as a normal computer HD

Big capacity, good price. This has a real full sized drive inside. It should be more reliable that way.

Easy to setup for mac or pc. Large capacity for a reasonable price. Great for auto backups of your system.

I bought this drive for a large capacity external back-up for photos. It serves me well for that. It's not going to win any speed contests, but it's hard to beat 4tb for well under $100(at the time I bought this) and I have the utmost faith in the reliability of WD drives.

I bought this as a back up for the computer and memory stick, I didnt realize it didnt have an ethernet port like my WD my cloud, But thats okay, the voulme of memory is good, If you want storage, USB port for backup this is good, My next purchase will be the 2 bay version with cloud capability

We bought this hard drive to expand the memory on our Xbox one. It did that. Works well and no problems.

Best for terabyte external hard drive for its price . I only 11 of them never ran into any issues

I purchased the unit to put all of my pictures from 1966 to date as extra security in case of my main storage fails. Frankly, I do not trust any online backup service of my photos. It take quite some time to copy my pictures 42 hours for 3.4TB. not to shabby for copying from an 8TB portable drive.

Western Digital external hard drive is a great way to make room for pictures & videos at a great price

Unlike some others, it installed just as the instructions had outline and began working right away. I have not had any problems with my weekly backing up of my hard drive using Acronis True Image to do the job. I'd certainly buy another one if I needed to add or replace this model.

This specific Best-Buy exclusive model is special as it uses the Western Digital Red drive instead of Blue as most other WD models. The Red is a bona-fide NAS drive, which will last longer in most external HDD applications. The price is right when it is on sale. Don't miss it!

I bought it for my ps4 pro and works like a charm, is not as fast as the one integrated but good.

Between this and the 8tb version they are great for using for external storage or "shucking" to use the drive found inside typically $30-50 cheaper than the retail equivalent. I use one with my VR desktop for storage and another with my Xbox One X both work great.
