Works seamlessly with nighthawk r7000 router through the usb 3.0 port, very very fast too, my laptop was connected via 5g wireless and it had a write speed of 8mb/s. The read speed is unknown to me at this time but 1080p with "4k upscale" and hdr worked smoothly, much more smoothly than I had expected. Plugged in, worked perfectly, and continues to work.

I bought this item because everytime my son got a Xbox game he would need to delete one to add a new one . This allows him to store all his games and many more . It was a easy set-up and a good price for the amount of storage .

I only trust Western Digital with my long term storage. I have never been disappointed. I have taken a lot of photos over the years, some family, some vacation, and even some professional. I trust WD to keep the memories safe.

After having this drive for a few months, I can say that it has been reliable and a solid performer. It has plenty of room for my files and is affordable enough to grab an extra for backup. Would buy more in the future.

I bought this to make another backup of my photos and videos … the set up was very easy, just plug and play … now I have a lot of storage … also would like to mention that access to drive is fast and reliable … very happy.

I already had a 2TB drive and it works great, I needed more space for my photography and wanted to join them together I asked a Best Buy employee if I could join them and he said that is what they are made for ..... WRONG. I went to hook it up and found out you can’t, I can just use it as a separate drive. Should of done my own research prior to purchase I would of just bought the 8 TB drive and transferred everything over to that one. Still works great setup is ok website could have better setup info

I bought this for my PlayStation 4 since I was running out of space. It was so easy to hook up and the load times on the stored games are just as fast as the games that are on the internal drive. An external drive is the best way to go if you plan on having a big video game library. And being on sale for $99, it was a great buy!

This computer is very compact. Don't even think about open slots. If there are any, I can't see thru the package. That said, it runs cool and fast. Enough USB slots for all my needs AND an ethernet output to boot.. Small and easily placed. Light weight but solid. I'm not gamer, so this machine is much faster than I expected.

This version is much better than previous ext drives from WD (mycloud) since you plug into MAC and power for faster than just the USB version. Also, it now boots up and works with time machine just fine. Turns off automatically when you shut down your MAC. This way it is suppose to work! Get this one before they are gone.

If you have a PS4 or Xbox One, this makes a great/affordable external memory unit to store and play your games from. Highly recommended.

This works as advertised. I have it plugged into my Western Digital My Cloud NAS for some extra online storage, treated as a separate drive across the cloud device. Works well, can access over the cloud with this configuration. Or, I can also configure it to share under a Homegroup or across my LAN as desired.
