    I have not had the item long but I am already excited about all the storage space. I have saved 103 movies to the portable hard drive and have only used about 1/3 of the storage space. I also plan on putting pretty much ALL of our pictures from the past few years on the hard drive.

    If you don't need a ton of storage space but want to store photos, videos, or important documents on an external divice for security or as a backup this is a great device to use. Very easy to use. You don't have to install the encryption software that comes with it. It can be used like a giant thumb drive.

    I already owned 2 WD drives for myself. I purchased this for my sister who recently had a baby. She needed back up space for the BILLIONS of photos she is taking. The kid is only 5 months....LOL. Works great for her. Easy/no brainer hook up and use.
