I love this company and I have many products by this company so naturally I went with this external drive first. I had this drive and it worked AMAZING for about a year or so. I mean, I plugged it in, did what I had to do, backed up my computers saved my pictures, merged my music and documents, you name it I did it. I even made picture slide shows with music and placed them in a file on the drive and plugged it into my tv during the holidays for instant ambiance and awkward conversation filler. Then one day I plugged it in it blinked like it was connected and "what is this?!" No hard drive found!! I did everything even took it to get it looked at and it was a hardware issue and "I'm sorry ma'am but all of your data is lost, I hope you didn't have anything important on that." Bummer.... So this is my internal external struggle... Do I buy the same one that I was so happy with or do I change brands and have a chance at bad quality? I bought the drive again. I'll take my chances. I love this drive but I have learned my lesson and I do back everything up to DVDs also. I wish it just had a wider base and a more secure cord set up, but other than that I'm a happy camper. Maybe I just over worked it. I don't know. I did buy the warranty this time so if it breaks I can replace it. So it's worth it's weight in figurative gold. Hope this helps!!

Relatively small for a 4TB External drive, its staying cool where I have it stored... It installed easily...

The external storage device is exceptional. The storage capacity (2TB) is wonderful and the price is affordable!

This is my first external hard drive. I use i for home backups for both my PC and my wife's PC. It is VERY easy to set up and the software is quite intuitive (mostly). I would recommend this product to anyone.

Western Digital is great! I have had this awhile now and have had no problems. I have 3 Western Digital external hard drive and have had no problem with any of them. Easy setup lots of features password protected and fast! I highly recommend this product.
