Nice device...Support can sometimes be challenged.

My previous back up drive stopped working. Bought this as a replacement. Not for a novice and trying to figure out how to run the back up software. What comes with it was not what I was looking for and had to download a different program from the vendor.

There are easier external drives to use that this one. I bought this to replace my old external backup. This my book is to hard to use. It should be much easir to backup.

We had to exchange 3 times. The first 2 were 2TB. They didn't work so we traded to 3TB and that one worked. They were not easy to install.

I read many reviews of this product online for added storage for my game system and was convinced it was good one to get. After buying it now i can honestly say the reviews i read were true. The easy to format and it makes loading games faster. Definitely recommend

I needed an external hard drive that is easy to use for my 86 year old mother. I connected this to her computer about 4 months ago and it's been great. Fairly easy to install and works without intervention since then.

Bought this external drive as a gift for my father. I've always been impressed with WD products- use them for all my storage solutions.

I use this as additional storage on my Xbox One and it works great!

I bought it for the Wii U is actually works with it nicely you cannot use external hard drives that are not powered on the Wii U

I purchased a couple of these drives to transfer a large amount of data between computers. They were on sale for a reasonable price and I trust these more than Seagates, which are known to have reliability issues. Decent drives, but my experience has been that they won't last more than 2 or 3 years before failing, your mileage may vary.

Solid drive... The software that comes on it is junk, but who uses it anyway. Usb 3.0 is killer on this thing

it is very quiet in operation, quiet enough to be left running full time on your desk. The easy-to-use included backup software can continually backup files each time there is a change or you add a new one (or you can choose to do periodic backups),

Its a great product! I've never had a problem with Western Digital External Drives. I still have a couple from quite a few years ago. This one has a sleek design and is very efficient.

In general, I have not any serious issue with this product.The only is that some times my computer can not recognize the ''My book'' but this is a minor issue.

Initial set-up was easy. No issues with transferring files to and from. Works well.

I bought this HDD to use with my Xbox One and I thought that it worked fine for the first couple of months. One day it just wouldn't read. The whole time the HDD took it's time to load games and apps but I thought that was normal since this is a 5400rpm external drive. Boy was I wrong! I'm fortunate that I bought the extended warranty from BestBuy so I took it back and bought a Seagate external HDD instead. The Seagate is also 5400rpm but its superfast. That is when I realized that there was something wrong with the Western Digital from the get go. The only reason I went with the WD is because it was on sale when I bought it but paying the few extra bucks was worth it. Love the Seagate on my Xbox One. Don't buy this junk.

A decent hard drive that works with the Hopper DVR, but it's kind of slow.
