I use my hard drive as an add on to my dish hopper and seems to work great, its fast,and effective.. The only thing that i cannot pin point is sometimes i have to start a show twice because the fist time it doesn't start. I cannot say for sure thats the hard drive, thats why I still gave it a 5 rating.

Second one of these that I own. Super easy to set up, super fast with USB 3.0. Use it for photography business. Would recommend to anymore who needs fast access to large amount of data storage.

Out of the box the My Book has worked beautifully. It seamlessly stores daily back ups with minimal effort. I use this product daily with confidence that my back ups will be secure and safe.

Great external for home to store your usually stuff... I use it for photos and music... Great value, I recommend this for anybody... Don't have to be a techy to install, basic setup...

Easy to do back up daily work notes and assessment

I found the product to replace my Seagate after 5yr of use. the extra storage and ease of set up and retrieval to secure my records is well worth the cost for peace of mind

Would buy again if needed. Easy to use but downloading can take awhile.

I needed a good reliable back up drive for my PC. This one more than fit the bill. Plenty of room on the drive and the price was great. Very easy to set up as well.

Until I received the invite to review, I completely forgot about it. It is quiet and does it's job good with no second thought. Easy to set up and operate.

Getting 2 terabytes for under $100 is a decent price point.

This is my second MyBook. I have used the first for a good while as an external backup. This one was purchased for added storage without going to the Cloud. Both install and work with no problems. Good product at reasonable price.

I set this up easily. Although using USB 2.0, the backup was really, really fast. Let's address my mentioning that the software was perhaps not so great. It may be because I have not yet really understood how to do it--worst case scenario, it may be that the software is not intended to do this. I was hoping for being able to back everything up, including OS and programs and from there on I expected tthe backup program to just update as changes were made in my PC. That way, were my PC HDD to fail, I could just get me another HDD and download everything from this backup drive. I have downloaded something called Acronis. It came as a free download that may do (or not because it seems that it is not fully functional unless you buy the full version) what I want. Will see.

Bought the 2TB model, decided to return and get the 3TB while they were on sale. Great product. Can't tell them apart. Super easy setup.

All cables were provided. Connected easily to my computer. Of course no instructions except for a small page of drawings that were difficult to interpret. Installation screen for software was supposed to show up when hard drive was connected, but had to go searching for it. I do not find this product use very intuitive.

Have had the drive a really short time. Plug and play. Easy setup. File transfer went well from a five year old lap top. Now using the drive with a new laptop. Seemed seamless. No reason to believe drive is not a good buy.

Works with Windows XP which, yes, I still have. Not all external TB drives work with XP. This was a breeze to set up and I could use it as a drag-and-drop immediately. If it lasts, it was a perfect purchase.

The external drive was very user friendly. It set up quickly. The operation of it is very simple even for a technophobe like me.

Needed a good backup for all my HD videos and this does the job just fine. I also keep it as a backup for other projects and photos. No issues with it just yet but I'm sure it'll be in it for the long haul.

There was plenty of room on this device to store everything I needed to. The set up and use of the equipment was easy.
