Bought this to store movies in my smart tv. Works great

Works great so far for all my games on the Xbox one,

I bought this for my Xbox one and will use it for my Xbox one x it has plenty of storage and is really reliable

My son researches all products he wants to buy and chooses the best for the money or in this case his mom can afford. He read all the reviews and hopes he receives this above anything else for Christmas

I needed another external hard drive. There was a sale on this one so I purchased it and I am not disappointed with my purchase. And I know if there was a problem best buy stands up to what they sell!

It's a nice storage drive with 5TB, however, for the speed is not okay to deal with as it kind of slow and there is no possible way to make drive sleep when not using also, sometime it cause delay for first open the drive which is annoying.

It's a great drive - fast and quiet. But to use it with windows back up, you have to reformat the drive. It's easy to find on the Western Digital site. It's a zipped download and it works perfectly.

I like the drive a lot but I gave 3 stars because the backup software does not support Windows Server operating system. WD should know not only businesses run the Windows Server operating system and should support them for home use.

Hooked it up to my XB1 and it just linked and formatted in seconds. I was able to move all of my games over and now I'm ready for more gaming.

I was looking for a Seagate USB external hard drive and this was the best deal for the money. It has been working great and has a good warrenty. I use it to backup my server which is 3 tb.

Just wanted a large extrernal drive to do a weekly backup of a NAS. This drive is quick, is not very loud, and gets the job done. Reformatted just fine to work with Linux and all is good.

The price point on the day of my purchase could not be beat. The drive is good and has no problems, but it doesn't do anything to make it stand out from other drives. That is the only reason I did not give the final star. I would recommend the drive and/or would purchase again.

WD makes the best hard drives in my opinion, with none of their products ever having had any problems in my 12 years experience. The only problem is you always need more storage.

...and wondering how to fill it. Took a long time to decide how I was going to partition this thing for optimum storage of music, music videos and movies. Seems fast, too!

I would give it five, but have not had it long enough(about a month, using it daily). I formatted it to use with my iMac. I partitioned it into 5 IGB partitions. One is used for downloads; one is for backup on Time Machine; and the rest are for future use.

This 5TB external drive was on a clearance sale. Apparently the 4TB and 6TB are the current models, but the 5TB drive is a very attractive price/bit choice.

Used this on for my Mac and the size and speed are perfect for the usage. Had a 2 GB but too small and this is much better. 5TB will last a long time.

This was a present and the person who received it seemed happy with it. It seems that he was able to do use it a lot more than he thought originally

Bought this as an external hard drive for my Xbox One. It greatly expanded my storage space and I have downloaded anything and everything without having to make any room by deleting anything. It did take the Xbox a few minutes for it to recognize the hard drive, but since then it's worked great. Still going strong. Glad I got it.

5TB and usb 3.0, and its from Western Digital. I have bought several external HDD when they are on sell and WD is always at the top of the list. Toshiba is ok too, Could just be my experience, but I would spend more to get a WD then to ever buy a seagate. This has lots of storage and fast enough when I stream to my tv, weather from ps3, roku, or my smart tv.
