    I purchased the 5TB WD and it failed and would not work on any of my 3 computers. The 1st one died after 3 weeks, and the replacemt died 3 days later. I finally replaced the 5TB WD with a 4TB Seagate (which cost $30 more for 1TB less), but at least the Seagate works (so far).

    No, I would not recommend this to a friend

    This was on sale when I bought it. Was a great purchase to use as a media backup for all my photos, videos, and music. Has plenty of space and to this day I have only accumulated approximately 40% of the total space.

    Bought three of these to use in my server setup. Never been disappointed in any WD hard drive, and these are no exception. Found it was cheaper to buy 3 of these than 2 of the 8tb models. Definitely recommend.
