Memory is amazing and if ever on sale highly recommend buying one for Xbox one you’ll never go wrong here. I stored 100 games yet still so much room to store movies and games.

I bought 2 of these to store photos taking up too much space on my Macs hard drive. Wasn't too hard to configure, using tutorials on Youtube. A couple of Photos libraries have gone corrupt on me - though I think it's the software not the hard drive. A lot of storage for about $120.

Works great! It's a little louder then the 2 TB I had but other then that. No performance issues.

I watch a lot of special movies on my computer - so many special movies that I easily run out of space. Now I have lots of space for all my special movies. I love special movies.

I have traditionally stuck with Western Digital for my external media. Avoid inferior brands.

The disk is fast and quiet when it runs but it has developed a habit of dropping its connection to my computer. Sometimes it disconnects then reconnects, sometimes it doesn't reconnect until I unplug and replug it. Other times drive shows as there but get a read error when trying to access the files on it. Tried different USB hub both 3.0 and 2.0, tried different cable, tried different power supply, Download WD utilities and checked disk no errors. Did a quick format no difference did a full level format somewhat better after that. confirmed it has latest firmware but can't downgrade to older version to test. Very frustrating to say the least. Nothing on WD forums or support site. I'll try to contact them direct next but so far not at all reliable can't trust it with data so have the data backed up on to a trusty Buffalo drive. your mileage my vary

Use this all the time to back up work files, photos, videos, music, etc...Has great features, tons of storage and has never given me a problem.

Works flawlessly with my Xbox one. Pulling and play. Xbox recognizes and formats it automatically. Haven’t had an issue in 3 years!

needed space....5TB: CHECK...WD makes a solid product. Has for years, so when I needed a large external drive, I knew who to look for. Thank you WD.

I bought this for the back up on TimeMachine. It worked at first, just like the previous 3TB drive from WD. Now I have back up failures, and I must reboot to have a back up. Wish it just worked in the background like the previous model. I need help understanding what I can do to make this work.

It's a good as a backup drive. It's not super fast but does the work

I am a photographer and need to store an exorbitant amount of photographs. The Black 5 TB serves the purpose well. WD- a much trusted brand.

I have this plugged in to my PC and it just sits quietly backing up my data. I like equipment that does not need a lot of upkeep from me.
