Very reliable external hard drive

Xbox one Fail

Plugged it in, formatted it, moved games on to it, and it seemed great. THEN, I noticed lag in game play, and loading. Frame rate, transition sequence, cinematic loading and sound/video syncing issues. Sometimes crashing to home screen. If I moved any game to internal it runs perfect. Back compatible games will not even load while on it, move them to internal and they run fine. I tried resetting, hard rebooting, reinstalling, task killing, power saving mode, reformatting, different cable, different USB ports and now I've read that the Xbox formatting does something to the drive so that my PC can't use it anymore because it recognizes it as a printer.
