I would highly recommend this drive. However $130 or more is way too much to spend. Wait until this drive is under $100 then buy.

I have tons of photos and documents on an old computer and I do not want to loose any.l So, I went looking. Yes, I did some looking on the internet... but then did the smart thing... I went to Best Buy and looked at their stock. A sales person did give some advice and we made the purchase. It is just what I wanted.

Good drive

I have had good luck with WD hard drives and I like the My Book software that comes with it. It makes things easier for you. I haven't had it for too long but it's been good so far. I am taking one star off because of the price. Best Buy very rarely discounts hard drives.

Plug in, format, and you are ready to go. It takes a while to move everything one by one but i'm good storage wise for a good while now.

Been very pleased with the performance and stability - no problems with the drive hibernating, wakes up quick, and while performance won't break any records it's very consistent. Definitely a solid option in external drives, but we'll have to see how long they actually last.
